My friend Tara and I decided to treat our kids with a surprise yesterday – a day in the snow! My kids had never seen snow before (other than Disneyland, which doesn’t count), so this was extra-special.

SO FUN! My kids have never seen snow either so we are headed to the mountains this weekend and they are going to ski school! I’m so excited!

How far did you have to go to find snow?

Not far! As the crow flies, it’s only about 45 miles away, but it took about an hour and 40 minutes to drive there.

YES! We went to Mt. Pinos, which is right on the Ventura County/Kern County line. It took us about an hour and forty five minutes to get there!
