I hope you all are having a lovely weekend. I’ve spent the last two days on a girls’ trip to Joshua Tree, and it’s been fantastic to get some time away with my friends. I’m timing my drive home for the beginning of the Super Bowl. I’m hoping that will mean no traffic and smooth sailing, but you never know when it comes to LA’s stupid freeways.

I did something to my hair:

new 'do

Well technically, my hair stylist did it. I really love it, it’s been a long time since my hair was this short. I haven’t styled it myself yet, but just the idea of having a break from all that hair to dry has me excited.

Cool Things

~I got this sewing machine book for kids to help Annabel understand her new machine. I’ve been giving her lessons, but this book has helped her out in between lessons.
~Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls is another book I got Annabel for her birthday. I highly recommend it to anyone with an elementary school kid (or one to shop for). The women covered are fantastic, and the illustrations are amazing!
~We’ve actually had a fair bit of rain here in Southern California, so of course when I saw a commercial for the Better Brella I was like, “I HAVE TO HAVE ONE.” Of course, buying one will all but guarantee it doesn’t rain again here until next year.

Happy Sunday, everyone!
