Every year I share a video of the speech I gave at the March for Babies in 2009, which I gave just a few weeks after Maddie died. I never rewatch it because it’s way too emotional, and I just can’t let myself go back into that headspace, even for a second. Last year as the Los Angeles Ambassador Family, I was able to give another speech that, while still emotional, also had a message of hope and positivity that I hope touched other grieving families.

I hope I would have made Maddie proud.

I love you all so much. Maddie would be so very, very proud of you.

I don’t know how you were able to give that speech without bawling. I cry every time I hear both of them. XO
