Christmas Light Crown

I thought it would be fun to make my little dress-up queen a Christmas-inspired headpiece. I had some plastic lights that didn’t work, so they became my inspiration.

Headband (at least an inch wide)
Plastic holiday lights
Wire cutters or scissors
Hot glue
Tinsel (optional)

I started by cutting each light off of the strand. I used wire cutters, but the wire was thin and I easily could have used regular scissors.

Cutting the lights took about four minutes. Easy! Be sure to cut as close as possible to the base of the light so there aren’t any jagged wires.

Start hot-gluing the lights onto the headband.

I actually thought it looked good just like this, but I knew a certain someone would want it to be a little bigger.

I kept adding glue and lights in a pyramid until I’d used all of my lights.

I think tucking tinsel into all the little holes in the lights would look pretty and festive, but I didn’t have any. Maybe after Thanksgiving!
