I’m writing this in advance because this weekend, Mike and I are in Las Vegas. It’s our first no-kids getaway since…um…gosh…maybe two-and-a-half years? Anyway, we are looking forward to spending time together, AND we are finally seeing Britney Spears! Mike gave me tickets to see her show for Christmas eight months ago so I’ve been looking forward to this weekend for months. I spent some birthday gift certificates on my concert outfit: I bought this fun skirt (it was missing a few sequin/mirror things so it was 60% off, and then I just replaced them myself) and this top (also on sale). I can’t wait!

Good Reads

~Maternity leave in the U.S. is a joke.

~A dad’s story about using formula to feed his daughter.

Robin Williams

There have been zillions of tributes to him, but these are a few of my favorites:

~Jimmy Fallon was wonderful, especially when he played a clip from Robin’s first Tonight Show appearance with Johnny Carson.

~The words of Zelda Williams, Robin’s daughter, are perfect and heartbreaking.

Aspirational

~Have you ever wanted to unironically look like Wednesday Addams? Well now you can make that dream a reality.

~I had no idea it was so easy to transform my face with makeup.

So. Many. Grandkids.

~Annie was asked what she thinks it’s like to be an adult, and her answers have me cry-laughing.
