I can’t believe it’s the last day of 2017! This has been the longest-shortest year ever. We had a wonderful Christmas and week off. Mike, the kids, and I have had a great time together, watching movies, playing with new toys, and teaching the kids how to ride bikes. It’s back to “real life” for Mike and me on Tuesday, although the kids still have another week off of school (lucky ducks). I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Here’s hoping 2018 is an amazing year for everyone!

~I got Mike a record player for Christmas (our kids were like, “wtf is this”), and it also includes the ability to record records directly into digital files that you can then load onto your computer, phone, etc.
~I also got him this new release of Beatles records that are now sold out, but because I am the best wife evvvver I ordered the set months ago.
~If you have an iPhone and you’re tired of the damn charging cords totally sucking, I found these braided cords that have withstood the test of time in our house (and you get three for less than what it would cost you to buy ONE new Apple-brand cord) (don’t come for me Samsung people).
~If your kids are as addicted to making slime as Annie and James are (I’m sorry), get them some of this sparkle glue and you’ll be a hero.
~This is going to be my official hostess gift for 2018 (thanks for the idea, Cat!).
Thank You
Thank you to all of you for reading my blog. It really means so much to me! I know my posting has been slow these last couple of months, but with our crazy book-promotion schedule finally over, I’m excited to get back into my regular blogging routine again. Y’all are the greatest for sticking around and I don’t take you for granted.
Happy Sunday and Happy New Year, everyone!!

That record player is awesome and a great price! I put those cords in my cart– I always have the worst luck with those things.
Hope you had a merry merry Christmas!

I believe I started reading your blog just after Annie’s first birthday. Which is just mind blowing that she’s turning EIGHT in a few short weeks. I remember the first post I read was titled “Hey Jealousy” and I thought “this person just referenced 90s Gin Blossoms. I must know more”. Happy New Year, Spohrs!
