I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! The kids had the entire week off, and we have definitely made the most of it. As always, we spent Thanksgiving with Mike’s side of the family, but instead of traveling all the way to the San Francisco Bay Area, we all met up at a rental house near Santa Barbara. It’s been really lovely here – despite raining half the time, the kids swam in the pool, ran around in the backyard, and played a ton of card and board games. We adults have managed to relax and get in a lot of eating. So basically, a perfect Thanksgiving (other than James running mouth-first into a table AND also getting croup. Sigh.)!
Before he broke his face.

I watched all four “seasons” of GG yesterday. O.M.G.
Harriet says:
I was waiting for this post because I knew you would be watching! I binge watched all 4 seasons in one sitting after work and OMG. It was incredible and surprising, yet infuriating. You are right on about Emily being a queen. Kelly bishop had an outstanding performance and she stole the show for me. I commented on your last Gilmore post and I’ve changed team…! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the seasons.
Jill says:
Just finished watching it. I have mixed feelings. I am dying to talk about the ending
Anna says:
Hi, Heather! The calligraphy link also goes to the Paige and Roy shop. I’d love to take a look when you fix it. Thanks!
Heather says:
AH! Sorry about that. Thank you for letting me know! I fixed the link but https://www.etsy.com/shop/CalligAllTheThings
Sarah says:
I cannot wait until you post your GG thoughts!! I loved parts, really did not like others. No spoilers here, just a general comment that it seemed like the stories were not totally updated for nine years later. More like four years later. I understand why in some respects (Palladinos wanted to tell what they wanted to tell), but in others, I was just rolling my eyes. Fabulous work by the actors all around, regardless. (Oh, and I rather wish that the last four words were not SO MUCH since they are overshadowing everything else for so many people, which is disappointing.)

“Why it’s Worth Buying Toddlers Their Own Seats on a Plane”
Just read your piece about children under the age of 2 dying on air planes as a result of being “lap babies.” Can you provide substantiation on that?
Certainly children under the age of 2 have died as lap babies, as have their parents in restraint, as have the passengers and crews of an entire jetliner. Unsure how relevant the claim is.
During extremely rare events upon take-off, landing or turbulence so severe that a parent is unable to securely hold their 1-year-old, an injury can result to that child while the passengers in seat belts walk away unscathed. An injury, yes, but a death? Where is the reference to that claim?
Sarah says:
I too have been waiting for your Gilmore post!!! My favs were Winter and Fall. Loved the Parenthood crossovers.
I also binged The Crown this weekend and loved it, so if you’re looking for something else to binge, watch it! Totally amazing. I usually don’t like British shows but it was so good.
Laura says:
I can’t wait to talk about it with a fellow Team Logan!! When he called her Ace, seriously all the feels. I’m still 10,000%% Team Logan!!
Laura says:
Sorry one more thing I have to say they did Team Logan and Rory and Logan in general so dirty. I hate ASP!!
Stacey says:
I just finished and am overall quite disappointed with it all I found parts of it down-right cheesy and quite dull. The pop-up stars were funny and some things were neat to see after all these years… but I found myself feeling unsatisfied. And don’t get me started on the ending.
