Giveaway: Photojojo Awesomeness!

in Win Stuff

UPDATE – WINNER BELOW

In honor of Labor Day, I am giving away fun photo stuff. We all work hard, we deserve a little something special.

Feast your eyes on these bad boys:

These are Animag Photo Stands. They’re awesome magnetic photo holders that are disguised as adorable animals. AND they enhance your photos. See:

That guy is  jumping over Bambi on the shores of the San Francisco bay. Impressive.

I know what you’re thinking, though: “Heather, these are clearly very cool, but without an instant camera, these Animags are basically useless!”

Well, it’s your lucky day, friend. I am also giving away this beauty:

Yes, that is a Fuji Instax Wide Format Instant Camera. Yes, it is the camera that my husband STILL HASN’T PICKED UP THE HINT that I want. MIKE. I WANT IT. MIKE. SERIOUSLY.

Um, I digress. This camera is wicked cool. It’s like a Polaroid but not extinct, and the colors are GORGEOUS. Look:

Creativity is not included.

So, do you want this stuff, or should I keep it? FINE Mike says I have to give it away. He is such a killjoy.

To enter, go to Photojojo.com. Next go to their newsletter, or their store, or their forum, whatever floats your boat. Then in your comment tell me what you like the most about their site. It could be a specific post on their newsletter, or an item in their store, I don’t know, I’m not a mind reader. Only one entry per person (emails and IP addresses will be checked). Contest closes on September 8th at midnight Pacific time. Winner will be chosen by Random.Org and will be announced Thursday-ish.

Oh and one other thing – this contest is open to all residents of Earth. Not just Americans! Yay! Unless you’re related to me. Then you cannot enter. THAT MEANS YOU LEAH. Everyone else? Good luck!

These amazing prizes are courtesy of the sassy people at Photojojo. They are the best and everyone should love them and make adorable hipster photo babies with them.

Be Sociable, Share!

The “how to prank your friends and co-workers was clearly my fav!! I am always looking for ways to lighten up the atmosphere at work!! I am a pediatric ER nurse and we are always looking for ways to laugh!!

2 Kristine September 6, 2010 at 12:22 am

I liked the tutorial about how to photograph your friends from five states away in the newsletter. Creepy.

3 Patty Smith September 6, 2010 at 12:28 am

My first time posting, I love your site :) I really like Photojojo’s store! In particular the photo lens coffee mug. I have 2 friends that are going to love their Christmas gifts!

4 regina September 6, 2010 at 12:32 am

I really like their shop. I love one item in particular, the Wall Decal Photo Frames. My husband has just gotten into the wall decals and we are in need of some more photos of us around our home. I think that this is a really neat way to display your own personal photos with a touch of modern day decor.

5 kirida September 6, 2010 at 12:35 am

Timecapsule is one of my favorite things ever. I love receiving memories in my inbox and for a few moments, I get to indulge myself with what my life was like a year ago.

Awesome – The Photojojo store has some awesome tzotchkes and doo-dads but drinking out of the camera lens mug would certainly make my photography friends do a double take. Good times.

7 hilary September 6, 2010 at 12:37 am

I am plain jane and just liked their forum. Always wondering how to make things better and love reading the posts.

8 Tori September 6, 2010 at 12:43 am

Yay, a competition open to the whole Earth, including me all the way in the South Pacific in New Zealand!! Woo hoo!!

I liked the seat belt camera strap. Recycling/reusing at it’s best :)

9 Elizabeth September 6, 2010 at 12:44 am

The mini model camera is really cute, but I really like the photo time capsule idea the best!
Elizabeth´s last [type] ..A good date makes all the difference

10 Sarah September 6, 2010 at 12:44 am

Cool giveaway! I like the general humor the site has. The timecapsule concept is very cool. I think I’ll be trying it out!

11 Joy Davidson September 6, 2010 at 12:48 am

I liked the mini camera. so cute!

12 Anna September 6, 2010 at 12:48 am

What I like most about their site is the fact that it says “shiz” on their home page.

Secondly, however, I luuuuuuuhve the Mini Instant Cam. :-)

13 Kate @ UpsideBackwards September 6, 2010 at 12:49 am

I think the thing I like best is that this is open to everyone – I’m in NZ too (Hi Tori!) :-)
The Time Capsule thing looks awesome, and I also love the teeny tiny camera with the detachable lenses (would be even cooler if it actually took photos!).

My all time favorite boardgame is MONOPOLY – so no guess what I’d like (other than one of those great cameras) its the PHOTO-OPOLY!
But all their products are fantastic!!!!

15 Annie Y September 6, 2010 at 12:58 am

First off….I love that they use the phrase kick-ass on their site!
Ok, so I think the whole post about the Mini-Model Camera is cool and I soooo want one! I also really like the Time Capsule idea and am totally signing up!

Thanks for the giveaway!

I love love love the color lens!!!! I’m not sure anyone else would appreciate my purple pictures but I would looooooove it.

The T-Rex with the camera was pretty cute too.

17 Rike September 6, 2010 at 1:04 am

Dear Heather, long time reader, first time commenter… and not only because I like the prizes. Normally I just enjoy to read your great posts and watch the pictures and movies of your little girls. :-)
Anyways, thank you for pointing out photojojo and their great website. I will definitely go back there to read the newsletter and forum with all the great ideas for interesting pictures. And their shop is awesome, too. I especially like their international shipping.
Best regards from the other side of the atlantic! Rike

18 emma September 6, 2010 at 1:06 am

oh my gosh, i love everything in the store! So many great ideas. And i love love the spy lens.

19 Antonia Aruffo September 6, 2010 at 1:09 am

I like how it gives away free tips for budding photographers like myself. My fiance and I are struggling with planning a wedding and being able to afford pretty much anything, but knowing I can use their website to show my friends gives me hope that we won’t have to spend thousands of dollars on a photographer. Here’s hoping your contest helps us out too!!

20 Emmeline September 6, 2010 at 1:45 am

I love the instax mini 25 !!! the website itself is way fun and funny at times but this tickled me as I loved polaroid!
You see, the Instax is a bit different than its predecessors. It prints credit card-sized photos on bold Fuji film, but retains a classic instant film look that everyone loves. We like to think of it as Polaroid’s little brother. A lively whipper snapper doing his own thing in a new age of instant film.

21 Aly @ Breathe Gently September 6, 2010 at 1:55 am

Whoa! A competition for all countries, I am SO thrilled about this. (My little UK/Aussie heart is singing!)

I’m in love with the sassy bad-ass bowler bag. I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it. Yes.

22 MeL September 6, 2010 at 2:05 am

Wow, what a great site all-round! Will be bookmarking it for sure!!
I particularly like all the pretties in the shop..know where some of my money will be going. Also appreciate the fact that they deliver worldwide at a decent price!! :)

23 Mindy Williams September 6, 2010 at 2:07 am

I love the photoshop shortcut keyboard skins.

24 Marianna September 6, 2010 at 2:09 am

I love the timecapsule thing! Had I bothered to keep my Flickr account updated (blush) it would be the most amazing thing ever! I also really like the look of the Photo-opoly game in the shop…and they’ve got some instant cameras that would be awesome…OH WAIT! Thank you for the awesome giveaway Heather!

25 Misty September 6, 2010 at 2:10 am

I love the mini model camera featured on their newsletter… The picture of the dinosaur holding it is EXACTLY what I would do with it! If it was a tiny bit bigger, I’d always have my cat posed with it, pretending to take pics back of me!
Somehow my blog isn’t letting people email me, so my email is MistyHCunningham at gmail dot com

26 Jen September 6, 2010 at 2:14 am

I love the little mini cameras and the how to make the pictures look vintage. Very cool. The store is also pretty awesome.

27 Karen September 6, 2010 at 2:21 am

My favorite part of Photojojo? Um,… The fact I’ve found it! Its so up my alley :) I’m living reading their newsletters and the store is filled with really unique stuff! Must have a lens mug!

Seeing as Coffee and my camera is the only thing that got me through my HSC Visual Arts Photography major (My major work for last year of high school in Sydney, Australia) the Camera Lens Mug seems fitting. Maybe it could have inspired me to stop procrastinating and to shoot more pictures? Never the less, it is genius and might work for vodka shots for when school is (soon) out!!

29 Dana Corliss September 6, 2010 at 2:30 am

Hi Heather,
Thanks for sharing the Photojojo site, I love it. They have some really cool things in their store, I especially loved the bottle cap tripod!
Thanks again for sharing and I think Mike should really get you the camera!

30 Ryan September 6, 2010 at 2:44 am

The camera lens mug is hilarious! I will be getting my brother one for his birthday in October!

31 Cynthia September 6, 2010 at 2:45 am

I heart the bad ass bowling bag and this giveaway and your blog, too.

32 Leah September 6, 2010 at 2:53 am

What a fantastic website – thank you so much for telling us about it. I love the miniature camera, how gorgeous is it??
I also really like the origami photo twister – what a great idea.

33 Dawn September 6, 2010 at 3:15 am

Loved all the tutorials, particularly the one on vintage photos.

34 Sarah G September 6, 2010 at 3:16 am

I love the tiny little model camera and the lens for your phone camera.

35 Ellen Fitzpatrick September 6, 2010 at 3:30 am

Wow. What a great sight. There were several items in the store that grabbed my eye: camera lens mug, bottle-top tripod, and lenses for my iPhone camera (brilliant!). I also loved the way they described their items. A little humor always makes a website more fun. Thanks again for letting me know about PhotoJojo!

36 Gill September 6, 2010 at 3:34 am

I actually really like the name of the company! I’ve just been cat-sitting a cat called Mojo and the name just reminds me of him!

My fave product from the store has gotta be the monsterpod though – it looks really funky and is so practical too – I never use my tripod as I can never find somewhere to put it that’s at the right height!

37 Nada Ledgard September 6, 2010 at 3:46 am

The camera lens mug- how cool is that!

38 katrina September 6, 2010 at 3:50 am

I loved the “Mine Model Camera Set”. That just cracks me up. I need to get that for my girls — perfect for their Barbies. I love how Godzilla was holding one. Funny!

Anyway, I know you are going to get about a bajillion entries (yes, that’s ba-jillion) but hey, you never know…this could be my lucky day!

I’m up at 3:45 in the morning for what reason? Oh yea! Must be just so that I could enter the give-away contest and be in the top 30 entries!! Well wait…not that being early matters much to Random.com. So really, I’m up at 3:45 for no good reason. Okay. Got it. Going to bed now.

41 edenland September 6, 2010 at 3:58 am

Well firstly, I loved that they had the word “shizz” in a post header. That automatically made them cool.

Then I loved the pranking of their co-worker by taking photos of the stuff on her desk.

Then I loved the Time Capsule post – what a great idea. I’m in the middle of setting up my own flickr account, I have a passion for photography that I only just discovered at age 38 – kids, don’t do drugs.

In fact, I love it so much I’m going back to their site right now to snoop around more – maybe even sign up! And I’m surprised, because I’m a jaded internet user but that shizz is COOL.

XO

PS Thank you for including ALL residents of planet earth, I really appreciate it!

WOW! This site is really cool! Thanks so much for introducing it to me and (of course) the rest of us. I really like the whole site but I am pretty set on the Mini Model Camera. Again, thanks!

43 Amanda September 6, 2010 at 4:07 am

Love, love, love the bottle cap tripod. When my husband are out and about, I’m forever trying to find something to set the camera on in order to take our picture. Problem solved!

44 kate September 6, 2010 at 4:08 am

I love that site, thank you for sharing!! The wall decal frames, the lens coffee cup, mini instant camara, all of it! I have book marked it now!

45 Nadine September 6, 2010 at 4:12 am

I especially like the magnetic polaroid frames! They’re pretty awesome. I can see those in our kitchen. SO AWESOME.
I also liked the article about how to prank your co-workers :)

47 Alison September 6, 2010 at 4:25 am

I love their store! So many neat things – the water bottle tripod, the Polaroid picture frames and bowler bag for slr cameras are amongst my favourites but so neat!

48 Helen September 6, 2010 at 4:31 am

I adore the ‘Keep Calm and Snap On’ print. Its on my Christmas list ;)

49 Julia September 6, 2010 at 4:36 am

Photojojo is a cool site! I love their prank picture project http://content.photojojo.com/diy/use-photos-to-play-pranks-on-friends/ I would SO do that to someone!!

52 lauren September 6, 2010 at 4:53 am

The SLR bowler bag is awesome! I can totally see myself toting that! And my daughter fighting me for it
:-)

I love that they’re fresh and funky!

53 Lee Cockrum September 6, 2010 at 4:57 am

I love this camera too!! I have been keeping my eye on it, I actually think the Hello Kitty model is very cute.

I saw this mini model camera that is just so much fun. I want one:)

54 Tamela September 6, 2010 at 5:08 am

This website has some kick-ass vocabulary. I joined their newsletter before I even saw what it was all about. Any website that has Shiz in their logo is the place for me! That said, I plan to spend the morning cruising the entire site, I love it! The first thing that caught my eye in their store is the Dreamy Diana lens converter. I may buy it before the day is out.

55 Meghan September 6, 2010 at 5:14 am

Everything in their store is so fun! I can’t decide which I like more: the lens mug or the wall decal picture frames. And I may actually set up their time capsule…

57 Abbie September 6, 2010 at 5:15 am

I love the bags…so stylish!

58 Tamara September 6, 2010 at 5:16 am

I love their store, so many cool items! More specifically I like their Photojojo book…must have some pretty neat idea in it!!

59 Jackie September 6, 2010 at 5:24 am

I love the shop! Would live one of everything but I did give the magnetic photo rope as a gift and it is great!

60 Michelle September 6, 2010 at 5:25 am

Great store, I saved it for holiday shopping. So many things my teens would love, but most of all the camera helmet mount. Not that they’ve ever tried to duck tape a camera on their helmets before ;x

61 Linda Miller September 6, 2010 at 5:28 am

Love, love, love the camera bags. I love that they don’t look like camera bags at all. I hate my box looking, black camera bag that screams, “Hey I’m carrying a camera.”

Thanks Heather for the contest.

62 Ck September 6, 2010 at 5:28 am

I love Love LOVE the magnetic photo rope! What an ingenious idea. I could use it at work, in the classroom or at home in the kids’ playroom. Too.Much.Fun!!
The SLR Sloop Camera Bags are also pretty yummy………. ;o)

My favorite part about the website is the newsletter and how many different things they advertise in it. I like how it is not just newsletters on how to do things, but it is also showing you different objects to make photography easier. The objects that the store shows you are things that are not common or heard about. My favorite article was the guide to slow photography because it showed you how to do it and it showed the finished project pictures also.

66 Sarah L. September 6, 2010 at 5:39 am

I love “photograph your friends from five states away!” Especially useful since my BFF lives exactly 5 states away!

67 Lisa September 6, 2010 at 5:40 am

Wow, what a great giveaway. Love those little animal photo holders, so cute.

I headed over to the photojojo site and have to say my fav thing over there is their photo time capsule thing they offer. I love the idea of getting random year old photos emailed to me. I love looking back at old photos and it would be neat to get them randomly in my email.

Hope you guys are having a fun Labor Day weekend.

I love how you can make your photos look vintage. That is my favorite “style” of photos and i’ve tried many programs to get that look. Can’t wait to try Photojojo.

http://content.photojojo.com/tips/four-easy-vintage-tips/

Thanks for the fun giveaway, Heather.

69 Leighann September 6, 2010 at 5:41 am

Being that I do NOT have the creative gene, I love the ideas I get from the website. I especially like the tips on how to make your photos look vintage.

70 Charlene Ramirez September 6, 2010 at 5:42 am

I love the The Mini Model Camera, Complete Your Collection with This Tiny Photo Gem! It would be so cool to buy one for my daughter’s dolls!!

71 Janet September 6, 2010 at 5:44 am

It looks very easy and user friendly!! not to mention I’ve never won anything before!! :) I could also really use a nice camera…..

72 Yvonne P. September 6, 2010 at 5:45 am

The “Attachable Lenses for Your Camera-Phone, Fisheye & Macro/Wide Angle Phone Lenses” was super cool! I had no idea.

Don’t get me started on their store, I want everything in there!

73 Liesel September 6, 2010 at 5:46 am

I like the fisheye lens adaptor. I do not like that their site is kind of buggy. What’s with the constant weird popup dialog box?

74 Erin September 6, 2010 at 5:48 am

Umm..holy awesome batman.

I want one of these. Now. Like, this is beyond going on my xmas list. It’s already there. And for once I’m going WHY ISN’T IT CHRISTMAS YET, DAMNIT instead of frantically wondering how I’m going to buy and/or wrap everything for everyone in far too little time.

ANYWAY. I love this site because it reads like a blog or forum that I’d be like ‘Ha. I’m amused. Where is the folllow buuuutton?’ and you just want to keep reading because not only are you LEARNING something or finding out about cool stuff…but it’s entertaining and witty at the same time. Kick ass? Check. They’ve got that down.

I also REALLY REALLY like pretty much everything in their store. But most of all…I LOVE that their store ships internationally – woot woot!! I fear that my bank account will not be as fond of this feature as I am…but to my bank account all I have to say is: Haha Sucka! Blame Heather for the link and banks for giving me credit cards..bawhaha! ;)

77 Stacey September 6, 2010 at 5:51 am

I love the camera lens mug in the store, that looks like a really thoughtful and funny gift for a camera addicted friend.

78 Juli September 6, 2010 at 5:53 am

i liked the bottle cap to make the water bottle into a tripod. i am miss shakey hands due to the asthma meds i’m on and pretty much all my pics are blurry even with a stabilizer on my camera

Photojojo’s PhotoTimeCapsule is definitely one of my favorite! Although I love all the cool stuff on the site! ( thanks for posting it ) I think it’s cool to just out of the blue receive an email with pics from a year ago attached to it. Sure you can always go back and look at them yourself, but, what a nice surprise to get an email full of memories on a day you just may need them.

Good Luck Everyone!

I still love to print out dozens of my photos to display. So i’m loving their magnetic photo rope and the photo hanger clips!

I like that the site is simple with a sense of humor.

Thanks for the chance :)

89 Jessi September 6, 2010 at 6:12 am

Very cute site. Love that it works on iPhone. The white camera is also uber cute.

90 Jackie September 6, 2010 at 6:12 am

The newsletter itself had a bunch of really cool tips and tricks in it that were very easy to do and explained well for those of us who may just not be…well, let’s just say camera savvy. Oh, and the new instant cam- I want it!!!!!! :D

91 KK September 6, 2010 at 6:12 am

So much cool stuff–where to start? Just off the best seller list, I’d love the Cheki 25 Mini Instant Cam, the Polaroid Picture Frames, & the Keyboard Shortcut Skins. I’m sure my morning is shot now as I know I’ll be checking out what else Photojojo has to offer instead of doing what I should be doing!

92 Heather Schroeder September 6, 2010 at 6:13 am

Their newsletter is fun and I love the way that they phrase things the way that you do, it keeps it interesting and to tell you the truth…I read the whole thing. Plus, they give tips and ideas on how to take photos in new and interesting ways and speak to the inner camera nerd in all of us. The time capsule part is really cute and I might just join them for that because my boyfriend and I are at the time in our lives where we are seriously thinking about marriage (we’re only a serious conversation with my parents away from engagement) so I want to look back at this amazing, frustrating, and exciting time in our lives next year when we’ll probably be working our way through the first year of marriage. The cute stuff for sale on the website is also giving me ideas for gifts for my camera-nerd friends and family for the upcoming holiday season….why didn’t I discover this website before now????????

93 Sandy September 6, 2010 at 6:16 am

The newsletter was real good-had some great tips in it!

94 Aimee September 6, 2010 at 6:19 am

I **LOVE** the shop sooo much that my husband just took my credit card away – and I only discovered it JUST NOW!

95 Lea September 6, 2010 at 6:19 am

I love the bottle top tripod! How many times have I been somewhere with friends that this would have been great to use to take a picture of our group. Love it!

96 Bean September 6, 2010 at 6:19 am

I’ve been using the time capsule for over a year and when I get the email from them, it makes me wander through my flickr page and friends pages looking at other old pictures. I love it.

97 LibraryGirl62 September 6, 2010 at 6:20 am

The thing I like best is that it reminds me I would love to be able to take great photos! But if I have to choose….the time capsule is very awesome! It would be like digging through those boxes I have stashed…and will get to…someday!

98 Amanda September 6, 2010 at 6:22 am

I love the time capsule idea I think I might have to just set that up. I love looking back at old pictures and remembering the day and the reason that they where taken. I also love this camera and could put it to some good use.

I LOVE “The Book!” I am always in need of new photo ideas. I’ve learned several from your posts and pictures, all of my pictures of my daughter look the same. That book would help people like me with lack of creativity! LOL

102 molly September 6, 2010 at 6:32 am

I love, love the photo time capsule idea. What a great way to enjoy old memories! Thanks for turning me onto the site.

103 Jenny September 6, 2010 at 6:32 am

I love the whole store!! But I think my favorite is the instant cams!!

104 Dianne September 6, 2010 at 6:33 am

I don’t have a DSLR yet (boo hoo!!), but when I do get one, I’d love to use the super spy lens on it. I can think of many times when it would come in handy! But, how do you keep people from noticing the big hole on the side of the lens?)

105 the Mom September 6, 2010 at 6:34 am

I was going to like the serious stuff until my 6 year old squealed “That little camera would be perfect for my dollhouse!” I love her, so we like the tiny camera.

With 6 children and a camera I HATE…I sure could use a new fun instant one. (Do you accept bribes? I make amazing banana bread…not that I think you’re the kind of girl who could be bought off by homemade yumminess…but if you could…we should talk.)

OK, the article on pranking friends was GREAT! The paper crafter in me, however, was partial to the article on how to make a stand-up diorama. That’s something my kids will have a blast trying with me….

Cool site! I’m sure I’ll be checking it out often.

107 Jeni September 6, 2010 at 6:39 am

I really liked the store. So many cute things!! I might have to order the soda pop tripod for my girls. They are always taking self portraits.

108 tonya cinnamon September 6, 2010 at 6:40 am

oh my goodness :)
i have never heard of this and went to their site. I am in LOVE.
the Camera Lens Mug , i want and want now :)
this is a wicked cool site !

109 Angela September 6, 2010 at 6:40 am

I would enjoy sipping coffee from the Camera Lens Mug. It’s pretty cool looking. I can’t stay Heather. I need to get back to their site and check out their tutes!

P.S. I need another camera like “I need another camera”.

110 erika e September 6, 2010 at 6:41 am

I like their sense of humor. Not a typical, boring site! And they have the most awesome things in their store, especially the water bottle cap tripod! What a great idea!

111 Michelle Armstrong September 6, 2010 at 6:48 am

I really love the magnetic photo frames-we have some of these on our frig at home and my kids love looking at the frig and the new pictures that I put on there. Plus, you can put them lower so its perfect height for my crawling 10 month old :)

112 Lisa Ash September 6, 2010 at 6:49 am

I love the Polaroid picture frames. All pictures should appear to be Polaroids – all of them. Love your blog! And Annabel’s chubaholic legs.

113 Jenn September 6, 2010 at 6:54 am

How have I never heard of this site? I am definitely adding some stuff to my wishlist after going there, haha. I thought the “Time Capsule” feature was awesome! I hardly ever get a chance to go back and look at old photos, it will be nice to get emails with them. I also LOVE the white balance lens cap. Talk about handy!

114 Lori September 6, 2010 at 6:54 am

I thought the newsletting was interesting but couldn’t believe that they now have lenses for camera phones……..interesting.

115 Ashley September 6, 2010 at 6:55 am

Their site is cool! I really like the idea of the online photo time capsule. I just might sign up for it.

Ashley

116 Sara September 6, 2010 at 6:55 am

The snark on this site is AWESOME! “We find the best photo shiz anywhere!” I really like the idea of the time capsule, especially since my youngest just turned 2 and I love going through the old pics of her.

117 odessa September 6, 2010 at 6:56 am

I’ve seriously been eyeing those SLR Sloop Bags for my camera.

118 Meghann September 6, 2010 at 6:57 am

Umm…the iPhone lenses?! Those are ridiculous. And perfect. All wrapped up into one tiny package. I neeeeeeed them. Along with the instant camera. And a camera strap. Oh my, I think Photojojo is going to get me in trouble!

119 shelley September 6, 2010 at 6:59 am

what a fun site photojojo is! I love their homepage “The best photo shiz anywhere” made me laugh. I would purchase the magnetic rope holder for my 10 year old daughter, she would have pictures hanging everywhere lol.

120 Jill September 6, 2010 at 6:59 am

I love the color lens and flash filters and the effect they give photos… they’re a great price too! Their newsletter article is right – I have a mess of color gels, and they’re in sorry shape! I’d love to win the instant camera… looks like loads of fun!

121 Cake September 6, 2010 at 7:00 am

I try to take good photos of my daughter but really, I don’t know anything about photography, I just like to take pictures. The color lens and flash filters are super cool. I wondered how people got cool colors to their photos. I mean I knew that all this stuff existed I just didn’t know where to get it and even if I did, I certainly have no idea how to use any of it. But this site offers tutorials (with pictures for people like me who just cannot seem to finish reading all the instructions). Super fun site…Thanks!

122 aimee September 6, 2010 at 7:01 am

I love the doodle-frame!! : ) Such a great give-away, thanks!

123 Natalie September 6, 2010 at 7:01 am

I like their sloop camera bags! Great colours!! Also like the lens filters. I have been wanting to play with one of those since my first photography class.

124 Kate September 6, 2010 at 7:02 am

THE PRANK ENTRY.

I had a colleague I used to prank when I worked and OMG, this would have been so much more clever than just changing her computer settings to left-handed mouse. WHY COULD YOU NOT HAVE LINKED THIS MONTHS UPON MONTHS AGO, WOMAN?

I kid, I kid.

I just love a good prank. :D

125 justina September 6, 2010 at 7:03 am

they have a ton of cool things and their website is easy to use.

126 Amanda September 6, 2010 at 7:03 am

I love the color lens and flash filters… I haven’t used filters like that since a photojournalism class in high school.

127 Ronelle September 6, 2010 at 7:06 am

I liked the Double exposure tutorial…I can’t wait to try it out! Thanks for the great site and for the HP one a few days ago!

128 Amanda Strandberg September 6, 2010 at 7:06 am

Oh my goodness – everything in the newsletter section! But I must get one my friends that camera lens mugs. Love your site, I’m off to look into shipping to Canada!

129 Sandi September 6, 2010 at 7:06 am

I love photojojo! I get their newsletters each week. I think one of the best things about them is that they give awesome tutorials on how to make your own stuff!
They just seem like an awesome, fun bunch of people. So creative!

130 shivani September 6, 2010 at 7:07 am

The website has lots of tips and helpful information! The pranks are funny.

131 Diane September 6, 2010 at 7:08 am

Where to begin??? The bad ass bowler bag?? The Diana dreamy lens?? Oh my! Yes, I will take a new camera and the above mentioned accessories! lol. I am also super appreciative of the suggestions to make oyu pics look vintage! I love vintage pictures.

132 Diane September 6, 2010 at 7:09 am

*your*. I got a little too excited!

133 Sara September 6, 2010 at 7:09 am

I love the bottle cap tripod. It would make taking self portraits with friends so much better than having random arms in the photos.

134 carrie September 6, 2010 at 7:12 am

i love the you vision glasses! so awesome. the tons of photo accessories that they offer are pretty cool, too. tbanks for offering this, heather!!

135 Cara September 6, 2010 at 7:13 am

What an awsome site Heather!
I loved flipping through the newsletter as a distraction from homework and that mini teeny weeny camera is posibly the coolest shiz i’ve ever seen. Just awsome :D

136 jennifer September 6, 2010 at 7:15 am

Their are so many things in their store that I like. So neat! Color Lens and Flash Filters are really cool. Also I really like the Camera Lens Mug. Just adorable.

137 Leslie September 6, 2010 at 7:15 am

Ha!
I love that they use the wrod SHIZ on the front page… I can never work that artfully into conversation. Also, I am totally going to buy the wall decal frames when I get paid (Have not been paid since June – teacher)… and I heart this line:

p.s. We don’t spam. Never, No-How, No Way, José

140 Katie September 6, 2010 at 7:17 am

Loved the mini camera! If only I had a use for it…

141 Elizabeth @ Miss Wisabus September 6, 2010 at 7:17 am

143 Betsy September 6, 2010 at 7:20 am

I really like the bottle cap tripod in their store. It would make group shots a lot easier than trying to find a perfectly positioned rock, etc. to put the camera on.

144 Lindsey B September 6, 2010 at 7:20 am

Hands down the camera lenses for your phone. How cool is that?!

145 jane pollard September 6, 2010 at 7:22 am

152 Stefanie September 6, 2010 at 7:35 am

I am a subscriber of their newsletter and I love that they send a daily tips on photography, like how to make a light box out of household items or bouncing a flash to get a certain look to your photos. I have learned so many cool tips from them!

153 Sarah September 6, 2010 at 7:36 am

i want to buy E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G on their site!! but i REALLY want the book about different photo projects/ideas because it has a boston terrier on the cover and we happen to own a boston terrier. sad reason, i know, but a reason nonetheless.

very cool site!!

There’s a lot to love, but probably my favourite (because I’d use it most) would be the white balance lens cap in the store.

157 Cynthia September 6, 2010 at 7:45 am

My favorite part of the website? It’s clearly the following quote (from the home page):

“We find the most kick-ass photo tips, projects, and more…” That is kick ass! What company is cool enough to use “kick-ass” on there home page? Photojojo, that’s who!!

158 Emily September 6, 2010 at 7:45 am

I liked the Ultimate Photo Movie Roundup! It combines some of my favourite things; reading newsletters/being online, movies and photography!

162 Amanda Sain September 6, 2010 at 7:48 am

The Photojojo website design is great–very clean, easy to find stuff, not cluttered. Love it. And I LOVE their products! OMG I was looking and thinking, “Need to tell hubby I want THAT for Christmas and THAT and THAT…”

My favorite thing is the lens coffee mug and the white balance lens cap. DEFINITELY want one of those for Christmas! I also thought the water bottle cap tripod would be the perfect gift for my mom.

Thanks for sharing Photojojo :)

I’ve been using their time capsule for about a year now and I love it. I haven’t been to their website in quite some time, though, so I clicked over to peruse and I’m still laughing over “We find the best photo shiz anywhere”. Gonna peruse this shiz for awhile, I feel. :)

167 MeLisa September 6, 2010 at 7:56 am

That entire site was hilarious- and full of “kick ass” Ideas!!
Personally, I’d love a ROY G BIV for my pocket- and just about everything else they have on there- broke my camera a few months back (technically my husband and I broke it together, I don’t care what he says) so all the ideas a products they have just make me more eager to replace it, like, yesterday.

168 Nanette September 6, 2010 at 7:56 am

I LOVED the The Collapsible Camera Extender. I am rarely in any photos & the ones where I try to take a picture with me and one of my kids, I usually get a really good up-the-nose shot. Not cute. The Collapsible Camera Extender would be a big help and it’s compact so it won’t take up a lot of room. LOVE IT!

what a fun website. i love the mini camera. i have kind of a tiny thing fetish. everything looks cute when it’s small.

226 Sara GC September 6, 2010 at 9:34 am

Wow- what a great giveaway!!! :)

I loved the Fisheye Lens adapter….and the cloak camera bag! Both would come in very handy as we head closer to our snowy and damp season – when I get more neurotic about taking my camera out into the elements!! :)

Yay – now if I can get lucky and win!

227 John September 6, 2010 at 9:34 am

I wouldn’t mind having an instant camera- the kids would like it! I liked rainbow filter option.

228 Katie September 6, 2010 at 9:34 am

I was at the pool with my kids the other day and I kept running from the water to the stroller to grab my camera to snap shots of the cute things they were doing. It got really old really fast and I mentioned to my friend that someone should invent a waterproof camera (other than disposable). Apparently I am way behind the times because the first thing I see on the Photojojo site is a waterproof film camera. I want it now! Thanks for your awesome blog, btw. I can’t start my day without reading it!

The bottle cap tripod is FREAKING AWESOME and such an awesome idea. My only wonder is if it really works or not?!?! Of course the water bottle would need to be full but would the camera weight over-power even a full water bottle?

I had never heard of this camera so I had a lot of fun perusing the website learning more about the instant cam as well as there other fun innovative ideas!

230 Pattie September 6, 2010 at 9:38 am

Wow — I like everything about their site. Thanks for introducing me to it! But I guess if I have to pick a favorite thing about it, it’d be the Time Capsule. It’ll be a great way for me to document our imminent newborn’s first year. :)

I loved the instagrams tutorial!

When I was really little, my parents bought me a “science kit” type thing that came with, among other things, some sort of photo sensitive paper that would reset after a while. I would lay things on it – beaded necklaces, leaves, pennies, whatever – and then place it in the sun and just be amazed at how it changed the paper! And then, after a while in the dark, my images faded so I could do it all over again.

I’d forgotten about how much I loved that stuff.

So cool!

232 Kate September 6, 2010 at 9:45 am

There was this gorgeous little red purse camera bag thing that kept popping up at the top of the page, and THAT was my favorite thing.

I must go own it now.

233 Ashley September 6, 2010 at 9:47 am

I like the wall decal photo frames! They look so elegant on the wall. I need to add to my walls, and with these it would be perfect! Thanks so much!

234 Mary September 6, 2010 at 9:47 am

I love the newsletter and how it includes DIY projects! Awesomeness!

235 Kimberly September 6, 2010 at 9:50 am

The dinosaur holding the mini camera is super cute.

236 Erin N September 6, 2010 at 9:52 am

237 Shelly September 6, 2010 at 9:53 am

247 Shannon Olgin September 6, 2010 at 10:15 am

Hi Heather,

Happy Labor Day! Hope you have a fun day with family. I really liked the newsletter. My favorite post was the one about the lenses for the camera phone. I can’t ever get my husband to use the real camera – just his phone. He might just like the mini lenses.

Thanks,
Shannon

248 Melissa September 6, 2010 at 10:18 am

I thought the You-Vision Video Glasses were awesome!!! (I am probably the only one!! LOL)

249 caroline September 6, 2010 at 10:23 am

What I love most about PhotoJoJo is that they aren’t always pushing you to buy something, but rather to make something great out of the camera or photo tools you already have.

I signed up for the newsletter!

Super Cool!

I saw you post a link to the camera on twitter a while ago and I sooo wanted it since then! The website is awesome, I think I’m going to get the motherboard frame for my hubby for xmas and the photoshop shortcut keyboard thingy.

261 Nicole September 6, 2010 at 11:00 am

Okay, I had not been to that site before. My husband is not going to be happy with you b/c I found a handful of things I want in that store and many more good gifts. My favorites were their camera straps…so hard to have a cool camera strap. The Tokyo Dreamer Straps are so pretty I want all three.

Oh, and I’d be remiss if a didn’t mention the genius of the lens mug…

262 Lisa September 6, 2010 at 11:02 am

The camera phone lenses are super cool! So is the water proof camera for those of us who enjoy sending our camera swimming. And hubby still hasn’t gotten the point that maybe he should stop buying non-waterproof cameras. You’d think he’d figure it out!

263 Amber September 6, 2010 at 11:04 am

The white balance lens cap looks awesome: http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/white-balance-lens-cap/

I’m seriously not good about getting the white balance right; so I really might have to buy that.

264 andrea talley September 6, 2010 at 11:07 am

266 Leslie September 6, 2010 at 11:11 am

Motherboard frame and magnets for polaroid pics…can’t decide! The nerd in me likes the motherboard and the kid in my want the polaroid magnets!

311 Sarah P September 6, 2010 at 12:20 pm

First of all, I love their Web design. Very clean, pleasing colors.

Next, of course, I loved the prank they pulled on their friend. When I was out of the office recently, the IT guy recommended pranking me by taking a screen shot of my desktop, erasing everything off the desktop, and then setting the screenshot as the desktop photo.

No one would do it because everyone has to use my computer when I’m out to check e-mails.

It’s just so wickedly brilliant. Think how frustrated the prankee would be every time he or she tried to click on a desktop icon.

Evil, evil.

I’m taking a chance at being eliminated from the contest because I read your comment and HAD to share a prank pulled on me at work while I was off. My coworkers turned everything in my cubicle upside down. Literally. Everything. Monitor, keyboard, inbox, every paper tacked up to the wall, books, pencil cup, chair… EVERYTHING. BTW, this happened while I was off of work with my daughter who was in the hospital having emergency surgery!! Ruthless, these people. It took a long time to right everything, and even longer to be able to laugh about it.

Just thought I’d share.

345 Claire September 6, 2010 at 2:10 pm

I just LOVED their time capsule idea…I definitely want to set one up asap! I move around a lot in my life and have lived in quite a few different countries so this would be a great way to look back on that stuff.
Thanks for this great giveaway!

346 Robyn September 6, 2010 at 2:18 pm

I like the great ideas in the newsletter. I especially like the Photo Paddles described in the 7/23 entry. I may just have to order those!

347 Colleen September 6, 2010 at 2:21 pm

Wow! They have so many neat things in their store that I have trouble choosing just one or two! I really love the chalkboard speech bubble and the bottle cap tripod…..but I guess the camera lens mug would what I would buy first.

348 Jenny September 6, 2010 at 2:23 pm

The tiny camera cracks me up! I liked the tilt shift entry.

Pick me, please. Pretty, pretty please!

351 Ashley September 6, 2010 at 2:36 pm

Wow what a cool site! The newsletter was great but what I can’t stop thinking about are the lenses they sell for your phone! I want!

352 Ivy September 6, 2010 at 2:41 pm

Their forum is filled with great ideas. I really wants to try the Double Exposure project, which of course means I have to go look for my 35mm camera… eek. I also really liked the Color lenses, just to have different kinds of pictures.

353 Julie September 6, 2010 at 2:43 pm

I absolutely LURVE that whole site. How is it that I never knew it existed before. The post about the Mini Model Camera set calls my name. Everyone knows I love photography and little things, and here they are combined. I’m not kidding when I say I bookmarked the site and will visit often. Now I am off to subscribe to the newletter. Thanks!

354 Allison September 6, 2010 at 2:44 pm

I love the idea of the time capsule. It would be so fun to look at those old pictures again and on such a random basis. I can picture myself sitting at work having a terrible day, opening up my email and seeing my sons beautiful face from last year. It would make everything ALL better! This site also had great camera technique tips and ideas!!!

355 Lora September 6, 2010 at 2:46 pm

Ohhhhh FUN!

I seriously love the camera bags they have, the Stripey Siesta one in particular :) I could use something like that, I am not kind to my cameras, they need protection.

356 Kyla September 6, 2010 at 2:49 pm

I like the time capsule idea; it’s pretty funny looking back a year ago now that I have kids, and realizing how fast life is going, so it would be fun to be reminded to look at those old pics.
(Thank you for not making this be a “go to facebook and like this company, and this other company, and this person, etc.” contest.)

357 Melina September 6, 2010 at 2:57 pm

I liked the site…:) But my favorite? Probably that “Bad-Ass Bowler Bag”. Of course, it would be better *with* a camera in it, heh.

Thanks for the nudge to check out the website!

358 Arielle September 6, 2010 at 2:58 pm

It didn’t take me too long to find my favorite part of the website- I love their logo! The cloud and the bubbly sans-serif are perfect for such a whimsical website where you can only dream to own everything in their store. So cute!

368 Amber September 6, 2010 at 3:47 pm

373 Tammy Baalman September 6, 2010 at 3:54 pm

I love all the cool gadgets in their store, especially the colored lens and flash filters so conveniently packaged on a ring to keep them together. The site is lots of fun and how can you not click the “Do not pull” lever.

I *love* photojojo! I love the time capsule. I love the store. Someday I will get myself the lens mug, the cool camera bag, the spylens, so I can take photos of my teenager. I am thinking about getting the attachable wide angle and macro lens for camera phones for my mother in law. Love that sight.

383 Megan September 6, 2010 at 4:12 pm

Why do I like photojojo? Yes, I like every single thing on that website, but what I like the most about it is that you can express your feelings. If you’re having a bad day, you can just go to that website and just do what ever you want. Discuss on forums about photos… learn more about photos… tutorials… etc. It will help you to epxress your feelings because you get to do something you love. That’s the number one reason why I love photography. :)

It would totally have to be the quote “We find the best photo shiz anywhere” because they totally said SHIZ, and it reminds me of one of my best guy friends who used to cuss like that, until he gave up and joined the rest of us!

474 YG September 6, 2010 at 10:08 pm

I adore their camera lens mug. how genius!

475 Kira September 6, 2010 at 10:10 pm

I love the fact that it was started by two friends…I hadn’t heard of this site but I’m enjoying checking it out.

476 Amanda September 6, 2010 at 10:11 pm

Ok, wicked give aways first of all!

Second, that site is pretty wicked. It’s hard to choose just one thing I like. I loved everything…ok except the camera mount helmet…kind of silly and you’d look like a geek lol.

477 Jennifer swindell September 6, 2010 at 10:14 pm

Love their site. The frames are great! Sense of humor will have me coming back.

478 karen t September 6, 2010 at 10:24 pm

The bottle cap tripod in their store!

479 Meg September 6, 2010 at 10:31 pm

I love that photojojo’s site is so refreshing to the eyes. like when you look at it, it seems so new, so bright and fun. I like that you can see almost everything in the first page. I like the big pictures too! :-)

480 Jennifer September 6, 2010 at 10:35 pm

I love it because it made me laugh out loud when it told me “Dude, you rule” DUUUUUUUDDDEEE!!! heehee

481 Amber M. September 6, 2010 at 10:47 pm

I loved their newsletter, lots of cool stuff and great tips!

482 Rachel September 6, 2010 at 10:50 pm

I really liked the store. I am just learning about taking photos so I liked to see all the cool stuff, especially the little photo hangers!

First, I think it’s awesome that they said “shiz” and “kick-ass” on the page you linked us to (haha! Easily amused.)

I visited the Photjojo Store, and I really like the DIY Photo Block Kit, that looks really neat :) There was lots of neat stuff there, it was hard to choose. I chose the block kit because I think it would be something my 3 year old would love to play with while she is looking at her favorite pictures, too!

What a cute site! I can’t help but shop and I sure could use that SLR Sloop camera bag. Big and cute!

488 Michelle W September 7, 2010 at 12:32 am

Well I just love EVERYTHING about it, but what I love most is that it is full of inspiration, products and tutorials that are going to make me a better photographer. It’s bookmarked most definitely.

489 vanessa September 7, 2010 at 12:33 am

the timecapsule would be my favourite…the tips are great too…its even better that the competition is open to Australians too :)

490 Krystle @snarkykisses September 7, 2010 at 2:05 am

WOW! I absolutely love the stuff they have. How genius is a bottle cap piece to put on a camera or the lens for your camera phone? Awesome. I love how their store is laid out too, very point-blank and they have good pictures of each product along with a mini description. I’m much more intrigued go click each item when I see it laid out like they have it versus just a small picture or descriptive link.

So glad you shared them with all of us, I had never heard of them until now… And I’ll be going back to purchase something soon!

491 Bria September 7, 2010 at 3:15 am

The newsletter is fantastic! There are so many creative ideas!! I also love the items in the shop AND timecapsule is pretty cool too! I love the whole site…thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Also, thank you for a chance to win. Living in England often makes it hard to enter giveaways.

498 Kate September 7, 2010 at 4:16 am

Thanks for sharing! Had never seen this site before, already love it.

I NEED the seatbelt camera strap! And I also love just the general wording/styling of the site..

Thanks for a contest open to all of Earth! You rule..

499 Ronnie September 7, 2010 at 4:32 am

Any website that has “shiz” in their banner is a place for me! I loved the products and found myself scribbling down ideas as I browsed. Scribbling got more frantic as I peeped at the newsletter. Would detail further, but list in hand, I must shoot some photos…

500 Roberta Thomas September 7, 2010 at 4:35 am

Even though it is discontinued there is a link to “assignments” that is VERY cool to check out! (and yes I de-lurked for this!)

501 Tiffany September 7, 2010 at 4:59 am

I like the bottle cap tripod! and the lens mug as well! :)

502 BeccaSaun84 September 7, 2010 at 5:02 am

The first thing that caught my eye, and the thing I keep coming back to after I looked through the site was the Time Capsule feature. How neat of an idea is that? Seriously- awesome.
Plus the macro/fisheye/wide lens for your cell phone? Freaking COOL! :-D

503 Leasa September 7, 2010 at 5:03 am

what a fun site. the bottle cap tripod is pretty neat.

504 Simon Allison September 7, 2010 at 5:07 am

It’s all about the You-Vision video glasses, for those James Bond moments…quite like the gorillapod too, mainly because they just look cool.

505 Jen September 7, 2010 at 5:10 am

Heather, this site is really cool. How do we pick just one thing we really like. I’m not good with making decisions and choosing just one thing. I guess if i have to i’ll say the DIY double exposure article or the put your face on a cupcake . Sorry i really can’t choose just one. :o )

510 Missy September 7, 2010 at 5:44 am

In their shop, I would love a mailable photo frame. I always stock up on the cards that let you insert a photo, but their frame rocks!

Wow, unbelievable the things you do with a camera, and all I do is point and shoot ;) but anything you wanted to try, you would definitely have help on that site! I will keep it for future reference and maybe even start doing more than pointing and shooting. thanks

514 Randi September 7, 2010 at 6:04 am

pick ONE THING from Photojojo? That’s like picking one thing from the dessert aisle!! I’d love the white balance lens cap or the chalkboard speech bubble or the fisheye lens adapter, and who wouldn’t want the super-secret spy lens?! Can I just have one of everything? ;)

I love so many things on that site. The store has some amazing things. I like the straps, and the mug and the frames. I love the camera dial decal for your laptop though. I think I may need one of those.

519 april September 7, 2010 at 6:20 am

I liked the shop but liked the Doodle Frame… it’s a cute frame with an 80-page pad surrounding the frame so you can write your own captions or add whatever to the photo. Very cute!

520 Carla September 7, 2010 at 6:24 am

I love the “How to use photography to prank your friends and coworkers!” article. I could so see doing that to my boss :) Good stuff.

521 Jasmyn September 7, 2010 at 6:27 am

I have to say, just browsing? The wee camera caught my fancy. And being me, I was looking intently to see how it worked before I kept reading and found out it was a model!

Although I still love it :-) , along with the tiny dino holding the mini-cam -it’s like Godzilla in reverse!

522 Tara September 7, 2010 at 6:28 am

527 Johanna September 7, 2010 at 6:43 am

Okay, being honest the thing I truly like best about photojojo.com is the name… My nickname is Jojo :-) . But secondly, I like the lighthearted way the newsletter (and pretty much all of the site) is written. Kind of reminds me of this blog.

528 Sara September 7, 2010 at 6:46 am

Ok – they have very creative items in their store . . . the camera lens mug, bottle cap tripod . . . but my favorite – the chalkboard speech bubble. Why I never thought of that is beyond me, but what fun I could have with photos if I had that!

529 melinda September 7, 2010 at 6:47 am

what a cool site. thanks for letting us know about it. i think my husband would go nuts for the mini camera. he is a lover of “mini” things…

530 meghan September 7, 2010 at 6:55 am

What isn’t to love about their site! I love the photo capsule! I think I am going to set it up with pictures of my husband and I and have them sent to him. The store has some really fun things in it – also please see some creepy things in it … The You-Vision Video Glasses? heh

531 Dee September 7, 2010 at 6:56 am

The mini model camera set. I have to have it!!

532 Leslie September 7, 2010 at 6:57 am

I like that you can see the newsletters…you don’t have to guess from one line but you can still see a bunch of them.
And I have a NOT so chubby little girl I want to photograph.

533 Kimberly O September 7, 2010 at 6:59 am

I enjoyed make your photos look vintage in the newsletter.

534 Dawn K. September 7, 2010 at 7:00 am

535 Jen September 7, 2010 at 7:01 am

536 Crystal September 7, 2010 at 7:08 am

I love so many things about the site! The forum, the newsletter, the itty bitty camera and lets not forget the time capsule.

537 Lori September 7, 2010 at 7:15 am

I actually love pretty much everything about the site, particularly that they don’t take themselves too seriously. Great products, fabulous sass and sense of humor — all kinds of awesomeness abounds.

P.S. Today’s my birthday, and that camera would make the rockingest present ever. Just saying.

This is the coolest contest on earth. I love instant cameras and have been eyeing the Fuji Instax Wide Format Instant Camera since I can not find polaroid film for my old camera anymore. Lame.
As for the Photojojo shop – Photoshop magnets – Oh. My. Gosh. I’m in love.

545 Emily September 7, 2010 at 7:35 am

I dont even have to go to the website. I have bought all sorts of things from them. I just recently made a collage with photo clips from them for my daughters room on her wall. AMAZAING! They have such cool things. In fact I might hop over there and shop now….

546 EVONNE September 7, 2010 at 7:35 am

You know what I find completely comical…they use the word shiz. I would buy anything from them just because of that.

550 allison September 7, 2010 at 7:45 am

I love one item in particular, the Timecapsule.

551 E September 7, 2010 at 7:49 am

What a cool camera! I liked the section about how to prank your co-workers (I’m paraphrasing, I can’t remember what it was called exactly and I am being lazy so I am not going to go check, laziness for the the WIN!). Messing with co-wrokers (the cool ones) is always fun and good laugh helps everyone.

I love love love this website — I totally love the unique photo gifts and accessories — hello bottle top tripod, you are totally coming on my next adventure. Photo paddles, I must get you — think of how much fun my 4 year old nephew will have with these and his camera. The toy camera would be perfect for days at the beach. And the Fuji instat camera — oh how I want thee — a new no camera rule might be implemented at work though!
Thank-you so much for introducing me to this site! Visa also thanks you!

I also that it outright says “how to prank your friends and co-workers” because, come on, who DOESN’T need a laugh?! Seriously. I am considering sending the deployed husband one of these to lighten up the mood over there!

574 stacey September 7, 2010 at 9:24 am

I want to win the camera so bad! My old digital camera is a piece of poo-poo; it takes terrible pictures and it’s ugly. I NEED that camera. I like the fact that the site is easy to navigate and the tips are actually fun and something I’d be capable of doing. The cupcake faces were adorable.
So there. Pick me, please!

592 Lacey Pock September 7, 2010 at 10:42 am

When I decided to check out photojojo I figured, “It’s probably some site I won’t really care about, but I would love to win a sweet camera!”. Then I click the tab I opened it in and the first thing I read is “We find the best photo shiz anywhere”. I’m hooked! You got me! That’s when they hit me with another one: “kick-ass photo tips, projects, and more…”, this is exactly what I need for my new printer and my millions of photos sitting on my laptop waiting to be used for something! So my favorite thing? The front page =D

593 Jessie September 7, 2010 at 10:47 am

I love the zumi digital camera, how cute can a camera be? The description could possibly beat the cuteness factor though!

Okay, so I checked out Photojojo’s website and had an amazingly hard time picking out just one thing… but I did it. I love love love that they use the word bajillion on their front page. I mean, that is my favorite word. It must be destiny for me to win this contest, right?

Right?!

:)

615 AnEmily September 7, 2010 at 12:10 pm

I love the store because I want to buy it all, but I would settle for just having that cute miniature camera. I have a love of teeny things.

616 Abby September 7, 2010 at 12:13 pm

Well who knows now – I guess I COULD be the winner. BUT the great new is that I kind of feel like I already won because that site is awesome and I”m probably going to spend the rest of the work day making my photos vintage – my favorite part of the site so far!

630 Carin September 7, 2010 at 1:52 pm

The photojojo time capsule is a really great idea – I find, and this is just personally, that I am better able to process and appreciate photos of myself and things I’ve done a relatively long time after I’ve done them. I can return to an album six months later with a much deeper regard for the content than I had for it a week after posting. Perspective is a valuable thing, and think of the surprise: you set it up, and a year later, photos!

631 Jenny September 7, 2010 at 1:56 pm

I love photojojo they make me get more excited about using my camera everytime I read their ideas ( much to the dismay of my kids). Their store is perfect place to look around when stumped on a gift for someone. Great Giveaway!

635 Marlena September 7, 2010 at 2:25 pm

Okay I have to mention two articles in the newsletter! The first article that I noticed is titled: “How to make Macro Photos Without Buying and Expensive Macro Lens”. The article makes me feel like this newsletter will let people know how to get amazing photographs witout breaking the bank on camera equipment! The other article is titled: “The Mini Model Camera, Complete Your Collection With This Tiny Gem”. This one caught my attention because it’s a-freaking-dorable! :)

636 Kim Adams September 7, 2010 at 2:40 pm

I love Photojojo. I get so excited to see what they come up with next every time I get their emails. If I had to pick just one thing I love, it would be the Double Shot camera. It looks awesome, and I have been wanting to play with one since I saw it. Now, the instant camera is on my list :)

638 Andrea Myers September 7, 2010 at 2:43 pm

639 Jodee September 7, 2010 at 2:46 pm

I love this website! I need The Camera Lens mug! Because I love to drink coffee as much as I love to take pictures. I drink about 10 cups of coffee a day I need this to keep up with my two Chickens..2 and 4. And the only camera I own is the one on my iphone. Since I have my phone with me constantly at least I can take lots of pictures of my Chickens. I love to catch those priceless moments. Just wish my camera was a little bigger. But right now I am sporting 679 photos and 49 videos on my phone… I think I need to sinc it to iphoto soon… I am running out of room. =_)

650 Aimee September 7, 2010 at 5:16 pm

How awesome is that site? Seriously I have been trying to find something to give me a clue on how to set up certain types of photos. I looked through the newsletter and found JUST WHAT I WAS THINKING OF TODAY: Vintage photos. It was called “four easy ways to make vintage photos”…. My husbands grandmother just turned 88 and I really wanted to make her pictures look vintage and tada…. now I got 4 ways thanks to Photojojo Yahoo.

651 M September 7, 2010 at 5:26 pm

TIME CAPSULE is a really awesome idea. I’m going to go look around their site some more, because I love taking pictures and ideas for things to do with said photos (and also drooling over cameras even though I can’t buy one lol, and am having a lot of fun looking through the store) But even before looking through everything, I can tell that time capsule is my definite favourite. What a cool service :D

655 Jaclyn September 7, 2010 at 6:24 pm

I totally loved the “how to prank your friends at work”. My friend at work always plays the best pranks and we can never seem to get him back. I think I finally found out how to do it! =)

656 Lisa September 7, 2010 at 6:46 pm

I LOVE the mini model camera. The fact that the wee little lenses are interchangeable is too cute (and makes it way too nice for my kids to have for their doll house, this would have to be mama’s toy!).

657 Amanda September 7, 2010 at 7:11 pm

The whole site is pretty cool but my FAV thing is that they used the word SHIZ on their homepage! When I have a moment when I must cuss and my kiddos are around I use the word shiznit!! I guess I use it too much because my youngest wanted to name her new puppy shiznit!!

658 Kelsey Imondi September 7, 2010 at 7:14 pm

This website is awesome, I love the tutorial on how to take miniature pictures, I’ve been trying to talk my hubby into getting a new camera that has this setting, now I may be talking him into a better camera with actual lenses instead. Also love the lenses for your camera phone, now all I need is an iPhone… Okay hubby, get on that!

659 Hannah September 7, 2010 at 7:22 pm

660 Jennifer Reigle September 7, 2010 at 7:27 pm

I would love to get my hands on that new underwater camera that they have (it looks like it would take some AWESOME shots!!!). I also love the new mug that looks like a camera lens. How many people would flip a lid over that thing? LOL

Okay, they had me at the tagline “We find the best photo shiz anywhere” because any website that uses shiz in big bold letters on their main page is my kind of site. I also enjoyed their newsletter entries and have a note to go back and look at their forums more closely.

I love this camera, as I am a huge fan of the old polaroids. I loved the article: “4 ways to make your photos look vintage”. 677 Nadine September 7, 2010 at 9:23 pm

I think my favourite is the cloak camera bag – my boyfriend has a serious DSLR (I’m still in the p&s phase) and I worry about him always toting his fancy expensive camera around – this would work splendidly! Overall I love the stuff on their site and their prices are really reasonable! Plus, I’m not a serious photog so it’s not as intimidating as B&H photo shop is…!

678 Heather September 7, 2010 at 9:33 pm

I decided to look at the store…I love looking at things I can’t buy! hah. The one thing that caught my eye is the Fuji Instax Mini 25 Instant Camera. It prints the photos right there. It looks awesome. I am not much of a photographer, so this seems perfect for someone who just needs to take random photos like when on vacation! Want to win this one universe!!!

Hmm, well, I just saw this, and I’m procrastinating instead of writing a paper. What? You would too, it’s some inanity. Anyhow, I like the keyboard skins (cuz I need HELP! with photoshop and thangs) and the mailable frames, b/c postage is ridiculous.

Hope to win! Hey wait, what time is it in California?

690 Gail September 8, 2010 at 3:22 am

I think that might be one of my new favorite sites. The had lots of cool ideas, but I like the store the best. The water bottle tripod sounds pretty handy. Also they have lens adaptors for my iPhone, so cool. Even if I don’t win, I will still be getting some stuff from their store!! Thanks Heather!

Wow!! This will be a great site for me to learn how to take better pictures. ANd I really like the writing style–comfortably casual yet still knowledgeable!

Photojojo has some very cool things – magnetic rope =cool, chalkboard speech bubble=cool, bottle cap tripod=cool! But, I totally love the mini scale model camera. My Barbie dolls would have totally rocked that!

713 Julie R. September 8, 2010 at 5:43 am

I liked the list of the top 50 photography movies photo fans must see.

714 carly September 8, 2010 at 5:44 am

The question should be what didn’t you love about photojojo because at least I can come up with a short answer because I lalaloved that site! Lots of great tips, merchandise, and overall ideas!

715 Laura September 8, 2010 at 5:45 am

I love that they give tutorials on how to prank someone. I also liked their post about making photos look vintage. A nice site to reference if I get that camera!

726 Shay Lucero September 8, 2010 at 6:17 am

I never thought shopping for cameras and accessories could be so much fun. Very unique and stylish and they make me think that instead of wanting them I NEED them. :) My last camera was unfortunately submerged in water (don’t ask) so winning a new camera would be just fantastic!!!!

727 Kate24 September 8, 2010 at 6:20 am

I like the idea of the time capsule and the store is also pretty darn cool. What a fun giveaway!

728 Nikki September 8, 2010 at 6:21 am

732 MommyGeekology September 8, 2010 at 6:33 am

Um, can I say that their headline on the main page – “We find the best photo shiz anywhere” Is freaking AMAZING.

But also: that timecapsule thing? Is really awesome. Especially if you have kids. ALSO, it’s amazing for instant blog fodder. VERY COOL, photojojo. Very cool.

I have never been to photojojo.com until today. Nice website. I read your blog all the time and even though I don’t know you personally, I cry when you cry and I laugh when you laugh. I can tell you to hang in there and things will get better but…. Life is hard and loosing someone so loved is unbearable.

736 Sarah September 8, 2010 at 6:43 am

I read all your posts, but love the new photography “lessons.” I just bought a SLR to photo my kids and don’t really know how to use it. So thanks for the tips!

I liked the idea of time capsule, especially since my kids are so young. They will change so much this year. It will be fun to be reminded of the stage we were in a year ago.

742 Nicole September 8, 2010 at 6:57 am

I love the time capsule–I got a d40 around this time last year, and just bought my d90 upgrade(SQUEE!), and so over the past year, my flickr account has been a lot more active than it was int he past. It’d be great to have a reminder of where I was a year ago, photography-wise, and where I am now.

I went over to the website and visited the store and, of course, it took me like 3 seconds to find something that I loved. I think that the bottle cap tripod is ingenious! I want one!

Heather. I wanted to tell you how touching it was today to be the reader looking into your life from this side of the computer screen and to see Annie’s cherubic smile reflected to the right of the screen in Madeline’s smile. What beauty. It is as if in that way she is still with us. Your sharing on this blog is keeeping her with us and we are all touched.

Oh boy, I should not have chosen to look at the store, my credit card is going to suffer!!

There are so many amazing things in that store, but if I had to pick one, I think I would go with the PX-100 instant film. I bought my first polaroid camera the day before they announced that they weren’t making sx-70 film anymore, and so I sadly haven’t been able to use it yet. So happy the impossible project has remade the film, and that photojojo is selling it now!

764 Jessy September 8, 2010 at 8:32 am

I am so glad you’re having this contest because OMG, I want that camera… but mostly because I LOVE Photojojo and I’d never heard of it til now. Lately (like the last year or so), I’ve been feeling uninspired and uncreative with my photography and writing but I think I might be inspired now. Love the post on the lenses for camera phones and of course, that Fuji camera. I’m afraid to look at the store because I might want it all.

832 Emily September 8, 2010 at 1:07 pm

OMG totally obsessed with that camera too! I actually love this website and the useful information. I love the fact that in their how-tos, they have simple, easy to follow instruction that doesn’t require a dictionary to understand what they’re talking about.

833 Debbie September 8, 2010 at 1:08 pm

I like all of their little hints on how to do to stuff and I am particulary interested in the “How to use photography to prank your friends and co-workers!”

I can’t wait until I have more time to cruise their web site!

844 Debbie September 8, 2010 at 2:02 pm

I love how they have different/unique products…there’s the cool kitchsy stuff you could possibly find at an Urban Outfitters or something like that but then there’s the ooh, never seen that before stuff – i.e. the Cloak Camera Bag and the Wish Bank Frame…both neat…both something that may need to be added to my wish list…

845 Melissa September 8, 2010 at 2:24 pm

I love that they genuinely want to help people be better photographers. Their tips are things I really want/need to know, written in a way I can actually understand. Best part? It’s FREE!!!

846 Paula Shimabuko September 8, 2010 at 2:27 pm

My favorite thing was the tutorial “Four Fun and Easy Ways to Make Your Photos Look Vintage “.
Also, I’m soooooooo happy I can enter this contest, since I’m from Brazil!

847 Amy September 8, 2010 at 2:31 pm

I’m still fairly new to photograpy and their newsletter has some awesome tips on how to create cool illusions and vintage photo styles. I’ll have to continue reading! Thanks for sharing the site with us.

848 Emily September 8, 2010 at 2:45 pm

I love the color lenses – I’m not sure I’m creative enough to use them, but I love the concept! I also love the article on vintage photos!

849 Melissa September 8, 2010 at 2:52 pm

Totally love the camera lens mug… I have a few friends that would absolutely LOVE this for Christmas. Very cute idea!!!

850 Kris Shields September 8, 2010 at 2:55 pm

I love the Fisheye and Wide Angle/Micro for cell phone cameras! I’m asking Santa for these as stocking stuffers this year! I always have my cell phone for those day to day cute moments with the children. I’d love a little better quality pics from those snapshots. Maybe this is my solution! Great site!

851 Michelle September 8, 2010 at 3:05 pm

The store is pretty cool. I think I need my own chalkboard speech bubble.

852 rOBYNN jOHNSON September 8, 2010 at 3:10 pm

Love the newsletter section, I love all the tips and project ideas!

853 Shani September 8, 2010 at 3:13 pm

The humor, the forum full of tips, and the time capsule!

854 Sarah September 8, 2010 at 3:17 pm

I love all their products! Especially the lens mug that I’ll be getting for some phtographer friends! What a fun site!

855 Elizabeth September 8, 2010 at 3:23 pm

I’ve been dying over the fisheye lens adapter for months…i just need to suck it up and buy it!!

856 Marie September 8, 2010 at 3:25 pm

I went right to the store. That is one nice place. The little palm sized Zumi digital camera caught my eye. I don’t think I can take videos on my old digital (how would I know I never read the book). Anyway it’s on it’s last legs. It’s about to crash and burn. But I can’t find another like it and I don’t want to learn a new one until I have to.

Hugs,
Marie
p.s. Your little Annabel is the picture of Mike. In girl form! Way too cute for words.

857 Florencia September 8, 2010 at 3:30 pm

You know I saw this post when it was a wee lad and had no comments yet and I thought, random.org wouldn’t pick the very first comment. And now there are almost 900!!! FML!

But seriously, the absolute best is the You-Vision Video Glasses: http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/you-vision-video-glasses/

I must have them!!!

858 Carmen September 8, 2010 at 3:32 pm

“We find the best photo shiz anywhere.” Hilarious! The article about making your photos look vintage is great! Awesome site.

861 AJ September 8, 2010 at 3:42 pm

I loved the mini camera. Reminds me of my mom. She collects miniatures.

862 Christina September 8, 2010 at 3:43 pm

Photo time capsule is AWESOME!!

863 Lori T. September 8, 2010 at 4:01 pm

I loved the cool bowling bag camera tote. I would love to get that to carry my new nikon around!

Great giveaway Heather!

Best,
Lori

864 Lindsey September 8, 2010 at 4:02 pm

The best part is that their tagline says “shiz”. Duh!

865 Bon September 8, 2010 at 4:52 pm

The bottle cap tripod is pretty darn awesome and brilliant. Where do they find this stuff?

866 Erin September 8, 2010 at 4:58 pm

I love EVERYTHING in the store…I need it all….

I like how they talk (write). I’m interested in their “kick-ass photo tips, projects, and more…”

868 amber barron September 8, 2010 at 5:26 pm

i love the Attachable Lenses for Your Camera-Phone, Fisheye & Macro/Wide Angle Phone Lenses… lenses for my dsrl are so expensive and i had no clue that they made lenses for my phone!

869 Meaghan Harris September 8, 2010 at 5:35 pm

I am so excited about the Photojojo store! I love all the ideas and great gear to purchase. I have two boys and love love love taking their pictures daily. A new camera, Fuji Instax Wide Format Instant Camera would be great and the photo stands are so cute! I signed up to receive “kick ass” emails from The Photojojo! Looking forward to all the great photo ideas:)

870 Kara September 8, 2010 at 5:40 pm

I liked that when I opened their website, the first thing I saw was a curse word. I like when everything doesn’t have to be so serious and good mannered!

871 Pati @ A Crafty Escape September 8, 2010 at 5:49 pm

I love the “time capsule” feature!

Love the mini instant camera! The small pictures remind me of my dad’s old photos from the 50s and 60s (my grandfather owned a camera store!). The inflatable frame is also fun.

873 Rachel September 8, 2010 at 5:58 pm

The wannabe spy in me loves the The Super-Secret Spy Lens!

874 LinMarie September 8, 2010 at 6:10 pm

I would so love to win a camera!!!!! Also, I would love the Bottle Cap Tripod. Genius!! I might have to rig one myself! :)

875 Stephanie September 8, 2010 at 6:13 pm

The Spy Lens was awesome!! Love your site by the way, and your girls are gorgeous.

876 Molly September 8, 2010 at 6:22 pm

Double exposure! I so want to do that.

877 Alison September 8, 2010 at 7:01 pm

They have a great website – cool ideas. I really like the photo time capsule.

878 Alyssa September 8, 2010 at 7:20 pm

I like the post about how to take a macro photo without buying an expensive lens. I always see artsy close ups of things or textures that I think would be cool to frame or put in a framed wall collage. But I currently don’t have the fancy Canon I want to have so I can’t do it myself (which I’m a big fan of).

879 Jenb September 8, 2010 at 7:25 pm

I like the little minature camera. I’m already thinking of funny places I could put it!

880 Sarah September 8, 2010 at 7:48 pm

I think the PhotoTimeCapsule is a really cool idea!

881 Tammy Hi September 8, 2010 at 7:53 pm

Did you SEE this very cool and awesome camera? http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/instax-camera/
I would love love love to play and create collages with this. I could spend hours upon hours taking and printing pictures. I’ve emailed it to my hubby as a hint. ;

882 Kara September 8, 2010 at 8:05 pm

Loved the mini model camera, that has to be the cutest camera ever!

883 Angie September 8, 2010 at 8:13 pm

The Timecapsule looks so very cool and clever!

884 lisa, too! September 8, 2010 at 8:19 pm

I gotta love the “Chalkboard Speech Bubble”. It seems a little more classic than the whiteboard used in the most recent “quitting hoax” on the internet. (and chalk is MUCH cheaper than dry-erase markers and can be much more creative!)

Hi Heather….I am a Special Education teacher from Texas…I think one of the coolest features I found on their site (and will totally be using this in my classroom) is the Time Capsule feature…how cool will it be for my students to see their growth via image?
Being a teacher you know we work magic on reduced state budgets! I could totally use this camera in my classroom!

887 Cindy September 8, 2010 at 9:05 pm

I loved the catch phrases on their site – fun! :)

888 Lisa September 8, 2010 at 9:13 pm

Great site! I have always loved taking pictures, and this site has lots of helpful information!

889 SHEILA September 8, 2010 at 9:21 pm

Hope I’m not too late! Love the post “Four Fun and Easy Ways to Make Your Photos Look Vintage” – Hope I can do some of the tips!
Thanks!!!

890 Juanita Aguilera September 8, 2010 at 9:26 pm

I Like that they have a facebook site since it seems I am on there at least 3 hours a day (ok- maybe more- maybe less).
I would love a camera like the one you are giving away because since I have started buying digital cameras 10 years ago I think I have printed no more than 100 pictures out in those 10 years. Let’s just say the (3!) kids baby books are pretty picture empty. :(

Love your site!

891 erin September 8, 2010 at 9:33 pm

holy crap … i have to pick just one thing?

okay, okay. the seat belt camera straps are AWESOME!

892 Jill September 8, 2010 at 9:43 pm

wow – everything on their site looks pretty darn fun! Love the camera lens mug. Dig the bottle cap tripod (what a novel idea!!). The camera bags are adorable. And coveting the double shot camera.

893 Lissa Springstead September 8, 2010 at 9:48 pm

Hey, Heather! I love the website and especially the store. The bottlecap tripod and the magnetic photo rope are two of my favorites!

894 Sher September 8, 2010 at 10:07 pm

I love that they say “Shiz” and “Kick-ass”… Let’s me know that there are some hip people working behind the scenes at that company. I can’t put those words in my compnay newsletter or site…I am so jealous!

895 Alana September 8, 2010 at 10:50 pm

Totally diggin the chalkboard speech bubble. This website is actually pretty cool!

896 Kelsey September 8, 2010 at 11:16 pm

Mkay, so I don’t think I’m too late… I’m trying to do the crazy time zone math in my head right now. Hopefully I’m not!

I get the Photojojo newsletter regularly. I love the entire thing, but if I have to narrow it down, my favorite newsletter was the (quickly sold out) one talking about the AWESOME lens mugs. I wanted one, alas, didn’t get one. The Photojojo site in general as well as their newsletters are so helpful, and I look forward to getting great tips on a regular basis. That, and they’re pretty hilarious, which is a plus!

897 Ellen Grasso September 8, 2010 at 11:23 pm

I love the time capsule idea! I have way too many digital pictures that I don’t get to look through enough. I think it’s awesome. I also like the plaid background on the home page but that’s because I’m a dork :)

898 jen September 8, 2010 at 11:49 pm

ps: just keep swimming, sisterbelle…you’re doing just fine. :)
