One burped easily, one holds them in.

Isn’t it funny, the things that are similar and the things that are different, between siblings? I have made lists like yours (in my head, mostly), and wondered “is this a boy/girl difference this time? or a first/second/third child difference? or a personality difference?” In the end, I think it doesn’t matter – of course we’re all different, however like the rest of our family we are. Each our own person.

It must be terribly bittersweet to make the comparisons, but I hope it’s healing too. Because, for all their awesome differences, they’re sisters, meaning that so much of Maddie’s beauty and spirit will be in Annie. Annabel is blessed with her parents AND her big sis.

I’ve read your website daily (wow) since you’re little girl’s passing and I think I kind of love you a little bit. Is that creepy?
My heart has been so broken for you and Mike over the last year…I’m SO sorry for your loss and yet SO happy for Annabel. I know that she won’t replace that huge hole that has been left right in the middle of your heart, but she certainly is a blessing to you.
It’s kind of weird, but I actually look forward to your posts EVERY morning. I can’t wait to see pics of the new munchkin’ and read your very entertaining, very witty writing.
Thank you for sharing all that you do. The good and the bad and I wish so bad that I could help you. Keep on keepin’ on.
