I know it sounds strange but the ashes are in a box inside the doll it reminds us that he is always here with us. I think it would be an excellent idea for you to have a little doll and dress it up in her clothes and things. I know it sounds strange again but it works for us we see that little doll and it comforts us and makes it seem like he is always there...we even dressed him up today for halloween.
