I can’t believe she’s a year old, you guys.

My tiny six pound, 19 inch baby that started in the tenth percentile is now in the 95th percentile for everything
weight: 24 pounds 7 ounces
length: 30.75 inches tall
head: 19.5 inches
hair: wild
She is so incredibly cute and fun lately. She loves to kiss everything, especially her toys. She points at new things, and if she’s close enough she’ll poke it with her finger (I’ve had to keep her away from my eye). She is OBSESSED with Rigby, much to the dog’s dismay. She chases her whenever she can, and laughs when Rigby growls at Annie for pulling her tail. Bad girl.
She isn’t walking reliably yet, but she’s getting bolder about taking steps. We don’t have to encourage her to do it anymore, she’ll just take steps if she thinks it’s the fastest way to get where she’s going. She stands independently all the time, and she does it without thinking. She’ll be playing with a toy and not even realize she hasn’t been holding onto anything. And then when she does realize, she suddenly loses her balance. It’s funny to watch.
She doesn’t like it when anyone leaves the room without saying “bye bye” to her. If you don’t say bye to her she’ll scream and cry (even if you’re going to the bathroom), but if you DO say bye to her she’ll wave and say “baaaaaaaaah byyyyyyyye” over and over in the sweetest little voice ever.
Her climbing gets better and better every day, much to our chagrin. I’m pretty certain she’s going to be left handed as she uses her left hand for everything – pointing, feeding herself, waving, etc.
She wasn’t pleased to have her check-up with Dr. Looove – she cried almost the entire time. But after she got her shots, she was super tough, only crying for a moment. Her sister would be so proud.
The best new development? She is starting to come around to being cuddled! It makes me so happy.

These pictures of Annabel are so precious. My little girl loves to kiss everything too. At night, after we put her in her crib, I’ll hear hear giving kisses to her bunny and blankie while she’s winding down to go to sleep. It just melts my heart.
I feel lucky if I can cuddle my daughter for even a few seconds since she’s always on the move.

What a precious gift you are giving her by taking all those gorgeous pictures. When my godson was born he was the 3rd child in his family just like me. I knew he wouldn’t have many pictures so I began documenting his life and also kept a baby book for him. He turned 16 last year and I gave him his photo albums and baby book – not sure what he would think – but what he said made me day, “”this is the best present anyone ever gave me”. He actually had a tear in his eye, which is sooooooo not him. He tossed aside the card with the cash and spent the night showing everyone his books. Annie is a luck girl to have such a special mommy and daddy.

I can’t believe she is one! Her hair is identical to mine as a baby at her age. Around 2 years old mine turned into a full afro of curls – you could see through it! And now it’s still wavy but is all over the board – some days it’s pure banana curls. Maybe Annie will have some variety too.

And I’ll share, my girl was 7 lbs 1 oz at birth and soon after was and always has been in the 97th percentile for everything. She turns 10 on Saturday and the top of her head fits right under my chin and I’m 5′ 9″!
You’ll find out when she’s 2 and she’s playing at the park and the other kids will look at her and say “why is that kid still wearing diapers”… Mine looked 4 when she was 2.

In a year? Look at the difference in just four months! She looks like a completely different baby between month eight and now! Wow. And she’s too CUTE. She seriously looks like a living doll Heather.
Also, I wanted to mention something. The other night I was on youtube looking at old videos of Maddie, and I came across one I had never seen before. It wasn’t even uploaded by you; in it, you were with Maddie on the ground when she was about four months old and I think it was a photo shoot with an aunt.
It was seven minutes long and amazing. Watching it, my heart broke and soar all at the same time.

I’m in catch up mode, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t thought of your family frequently. It’s good to catch up with my favorite family who have always brought me both tears and laughter. Those pictures are sooo freaking adorable and it blew my mind to see her development over the course of one year. I tried and failed to do that with mine. But I must go now I still have lots of catching up to do.
