Annabel has started giving us kisses spontaneously, and it’s so amazing. I can be laying on the floor, or sitting at my computer, and she’ll crawl over and give me a big sloppy wet kiss. I live for those moments.
Lately, though, she isn’t saving her kisses for me. She’s doling them out left and right…to her TOYS.
She tongue kissed her new dinosaur ride…
…her jingle bell instrument…
…the Belle doll she got from Santa…
…and most interestingly, a picture of herself.
My mom loves to play Annie videos of herself, and Annie tries to kiss the screen. So my mom thought it would be a great idea to give Annie a mirror. She stares into it and talks to herself and, you guessed it, kisses her reflection constantly.
So, now when I say, “give mama kiss!” she just looks at me like, “hmm…no.” and then crawls away and kisses one of her toys. What the heck! How am I supposed to win back her affections from toys?
I want my kisses back!

My niece (as a baby) used to do what Annie does til one day, grandpa decided to cuddle the doll instead of her and that totally changed her tune. She wanted nothing to do with her favorite doll after that. Lol!
As long as she doesn’t make nice with things like the light socket, hand held mixer and upright fans… you’re good.
Plus, she’ll be super popular in school!
My daughter did this too… It stopped after about 2 months of wiping up a lot of drool.

OOhhh Heather….I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN!!! One of my all time favourite memroies was carrying my then 9 month old first birthday to get his diaper changed when all of a sudden, he grabbed my face wirh 2 hands, squeeled and threw hie sloppy, drooly mouth upon my cheek. It was so gross and sweet at the same time!!! I will NEVER EVER forget that moment for as long as I live. So, I know exactly what you mean!!! I LOVED and still do every single one of them!!!
My grandson does the same. He will kiss the picture of the mermaid in the book but refuse my request for a kiss.
But then, out of the blue, he’ll grab me and kiss me and hold me so tightly.
Babies- who knows?

Annie is just too cute for words! My daughter loves kissing anything and everthing too. I thought I had seen it all until yesterday when she made an effort to kiss her lunch plate and tell it bye-byes.

Babies learn about things by putting them in their mouths and touching them with their mouths. It’s gross, but what can you do? She will kiss you again soon enough 
That is absolutely precious. If she’s already becoming ‘vain’ from seeing her image now– get ready! My son [almost 3] checks himself out in the mirror almost daily, smiles, and says “I look good.” Kids these days.
