Heather was so anxious to be able to move, partly because she wanted to start healing, but mostly because she was so excited to take pictures of Annie. It took a while for her to really be up and moving (I’ll write the birth story soon, because it’s a doozy), but once she was able she got some amazing photos of our amazing Annabel.
We’re soaking in every beautiful inch of her.

I hope Heather’s recovery is quick and that it’s not too painful. I had a c-section and didn’t realize till the 2nd day I had lost a lot of blood but luckily I was oblivious but well taken care of. I hope everyone at the hospital takes WONDERFUL care of Heather and Annabel.

I am going to risk making myself sound like a complete lunatic here, but I think that there is something extra special about Annabel’s birthday! I know someone probably already pointed this out (I can’t read through all of your thrilled readers’ 10,000 comments
), but I think it is so amazing that her birthday is a palindrome~ 01/22/10. If I’m not mistaken, there are only a few years each century in which that is possible, and within those years, only a few days! Annabel is special for a million reasons, and that is just one more!!! 
That sweet little angel’s name made me cry my eyes out when I first read it! Annabel is such a gorgeous name- it is classic, beautiful, timeless and just perfect for your little angel!! The Edgar Allan Poe poem, the dream that you had about Baby girl A_____ Spohr, the fact that Annabel means “grace and beauty”, it is all just so wonderful and fitting!
Oh and don’t even get me started on that middle name! Violet is just so perfect and sweet nd amazingly touching! It means “little purple flower” and that is exactly what she is- a beautiful little delicate flower!! I also love, love, love that it is a way to honor Annabel’s big sister, but in a way that is all her own. You guys seriously could not have picked a more spectacular name for that beautiful girl.
Ok, back to me being crazy- I also noticed that Annabel’s guardian angel Maddie’s birthday was so unique as well- 11/11/07. They just seem to go together- both have two 1′s, 22 is double 11, etc. etc. I know, I know, I am a weirdo- I just have always noticed patterns and such with numbers and I think both of your baby’s birthdays mean something.
I am just going to go ahead and believe that Maddie picked this extraordinary birthday for her amazing little sister- so that it could be even more special, and also so they could share a little something more. I just know that Maddie sent you that little blessing, and I have a feeling that you could feel her in the room with you as Annabel made her debut. I imagine Maddie Moo was watching over and protecting her precious baby sister and wonderful Mommy, both of whom she loves so much.
I couldn’t be happier for all of you, Spohrs and Buchanans!! Heather, it is so evident in your writing, photos and videos what simply incredible parents you both are, so it is no wonder both of your sweet daughters chose you as their Mommy!

The whole area erupted in applause and joy! In that moment, my heart did little leaps for the wonderful thing that is social media, which allows us to take part individually and collectively in such life-altering events as birth and death.

It must be incredible for the two of you to be able to hold her-no oxygen, no cords, no monitors, nothing. Just Annabel.

There are no words….she is so utterly precious, sweetie, …you look so at peace with your healthy little lady…you don’t know how happy it makes me to see both of you with your arms full again.
