When I was a kid I absolutely hated going to the mall and trying on clothes and shoes. I dreaded back to school for this reason. Going to the mall meant getting out of the pool, and in the summer all I wanted to do was swim all day with my friends. I really don’t know where Annabel came from because she loves picking out and trying on clothes. That’s literally her idea of having a good time. At least that means back to school shopping with Annie is fun!

Tea Collection’s back to school set is out, and the fun people at Tea asked Annie to make her “picks.” This season, all of Tea’s clothes are mix and match, so every piece looks great together. You can get just a few items and have a bunch of outfit combinations. I think Annie did an awesome job creating outfits – and she had so much fun with it.

When I order Annie clothes from Tea, I usually go a size up – not because the clothes run small, but because I want Annie to get a lot of use out of them. The clothes are well-made and last through dozens of washes and play dates.

Annie and I thought it would be fun to do a little “back to school” photoshoot, with commentary on why she likes the outfits.

Annie says: “I love the circles and squiggles on this dress. I like the skirt part, too. It’s beautiful! I like the hoodie but my mommy said it was too hot to wear it.”

Annie says: “I LOVE the flowers on this. It’s red and very pretty. Oh and it’s spinny! I like spinning in it.”

Annie says: “I like this because it has so much dots on it. I like that it can have the leggings because the swing was hot and burny.”

Annie is beyond excited to go back to school, and I’m glad that getting her dressed in the morning will be that much easier!
