I am very lucky to be blessed with nice skin. I used to take terrible care of it; that is to say, I didn’t care for it at all. I slept in my makeup, never washed my face, and when I did I just used regular bar soap. Now that I’m older my skin is more sensitive and I can’t get away with neglecting it. I’m picky about what I use, because whenever I switch products my skin freaks out. When I was asked if I wanted to try BeautyMint I was hesitant, because I was fine with leaving well enough alone.
Then I looked at the BeautyMint website and I was immediately sucked in. You start with an online skin care consultation, where you answer questions like, “does your skin burn easily?” and, “how often do you experience breakouts?” Once your consultation is complete, a customized set of BeautyMint products are recommended. I liked that it addressed the things I really wanted to pay attention to, like reducing dark circles and puffiness around my eyes.
My products came right before Christmas in this cute little bag:
I started using them right away, obsessively checking my face every morning and evening for breakouts. And…none came! My skin gets really dry in the winter and it’s really loving how nourishing the products are.
I’ve noticed that I don’t need to wear make-up as often, and the bags under my eyes have visibly reduced. YAY for looking rested!
Want to win your own personalized skin care set? Leave a comment below telling me your current skin care regimen. If you don’t want to wait, you can go to BeautyMint.com and enter in the discount code SPOHRS to save $20 on your first purchase. Cool!

Rachel W. says:
My routine is pretty simple right now, I wash my face with “Say Yes to Tomatoes” morning and evening, then follow with Boscia toner, Clinique Dart Spot Corrector and Boscia Moisturizer with Sunscreen. At night, I spot treat as needed, and use a light night moisturizer around my nose and mouth. Oh, and I use an Rx cream for excema and a wrinkle cream around my eyes. I guess it’s not really that simple.
Lindsay C says:
I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, but only when I’ve been wearing makeup or sweating a lot. Usually it just gets a rinse in the shower. I use a moisturizer with sunscreen in it too. That’s about it- nothing fussy here!
Nicole says:
I’m an Ivory soap in the shower girl as well. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to get away with it…
charlsie says:
I currently use your old skin care method. Sleep in makeup, rarely wash my face with soap. As I am getting older it would probably be wise to start doing something nice for my face. Thank you for this chance!!
nicole says:
My skin care regimen is NO skincare regimen. I just wash my face and slap on some face lotion. And that is why i need to win this!
Callie says:
I use makeup remover and stride-x pads at night and I use creme and moisturizer in the morning when I remember.
Marnie * says:
I use a mild facial cleanser twice a day and I use oil of olay.
Emily E says:
I wash my face in the shower at night with what ever face wash from Avon I have on hand. In the mornings, I just splash with water. And I moisturize am and pm. That’s it. Simple but works well.
Aliesha says:
I love this giveaway because oh my gosh, I could use it. My skin has been terrible since I had my daughter, and I don’t know why or what to do about it!
Right now, I wash it with whaver brand of facewash I have at the moment (usually clearasil or something like that) every morning. When I get out of the shower I use Oil of Olay Sensitive Skin moisturizer with SPF 15 sunscreen in it. That’s it. I rarely wear makeup, but I when I do, I probably wash it off about 50% of the time. Other times I just go to bed all made up and hope for the best. And honestly I can’t see that it makes it any worse. Ugh.
meghan says:
I wash my face with an anti-breakout cleanser and them moisturize with jojoba oil. I don’t wear make-up much, but when I do I sleep in it… whoops.
Jen says:
I use a gentle scrub in the shower and Cedaphil at night. And I’m totally ADD when it comes to picking lotions.
Shevaun says:
I wash my face in the shower, and I use moisturizer at night. I also don’t wear makeup.
I took the beautymint survey, but I was a little disappointed. I said that reducing wrinkles and increasing firmness were of no importance, but that it was extremely important to reduce my pores. All of my recommendations, however, were the “firm it up and reduce fine lines and wrinkles” variety. Hrmmm…maybe they know something I don’t?
Angi says:
I use everything. I’ll try anything once. I wash with Cetaphil in the shower in the morning. I alternate between makeup wipes (lazy) and Nutrogena at night. And I use moisturizer religiously. I’m afraid I’m starting to show every single one of my 37 years.
Lucy G says:
I’m totally in denial that I’m now in my thirties and need to actually take care of my skin. I think it’s the disgrace of having wrinkles and pimples appear on the same face.
I wear sunscreen facial cream every day (hello – redhead!), but I don’t wash my face at night, don’t use any special potions, treat pimples with the same stuff I’ve used since I was 13, and I wash my face with good ol’ Clean and Clear! I know – I’m pathetic. I really do need to start treating my skin like it’s my age.
Sarah Macon says:
Don’t know that I would call it a regimen! Kinda like you used to, I wash with hand soap by my sink at night. Thats it, my skin hates me. Its dry as a bone.
Liz says:
I’m not entering because my routine is massively complicated and mostly prescription. BUT I just wanted to say that I really appreciate that you do your sponsored/solicited/review posts in addition to, and not as a replacement for, your regular posts. I love the consistency, and the consistent quality of, this blog. Happy Monday, Heather!
Heather says:
Oh, thanks Liz! It means a lot to me that you noticed and appreciated that!
Leiah says:
I currently cleanse my face with Albolene, then use toner, moisturizer, throat cream, under eye cream…you name it – I’m a beauty product junkie. I’d love to find something that works that makes me want to stick with one line. A girl can dream, can’t she?
Sophie says:
Generally, I just wash my face with one of these low intensity cleansers … And usually just when I shower. My poor face!
Tara says:
I use Dove soap to clean, witch hazel to tone, and various Boots products (from Target and Boots stores in London) for eye cream, moisturizer, and masks. Somehow, my skin is still dry (maybe it’s the soap???), but apparently it’s working a bit because our babysitter totally thought I was 8 years younger than I actually am.
San says:
I use Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit Cleanser and then I use a 30SPF moisturizer from Eucerin in the morning. Then I apply a light make up. That’s usually it. Nothing fancy here… but this Mint line is intriguing.
TRISHA says:
I use a Neutragena cleanser at night and a breakout toner and lotion during the day but it doesn’t work. At 33 I am having breakouts like a teenager again.
Nikki says:
I’m with Trisha, I very rarely broke out when I was a teen…I’m 32 and breakout like crazy, would love to try something new
meg palmer says:
I am extremely careful about sunscreen, every day, and hats in the sun. I am a fair-skinned Irish gal. I also exfoliate and cleanse with Aveeno and use Neutrogena naturals moisturizer every day.
Monica says:
I use a cleanser to wash my face and baby oil to remove makup. Sometimes if my face is really dry, I use baby oil to moisturize. I do not have favorite products because I have not found anything that I love.
Lisa says:
My skin is very oily, and I’ve gotten breakouts since I was 14 (I’m now 31). To say I’m over it is the biggest understatement ever. I simply wash with a gentle cleanser in the shower each morning, then apply a tinted moisturizer with SPF. I’m no good in the evenings – I rarely cleanse before bed, though I know how bad it is. I could handle a waterless product (such as a toner-style cleanser/ treatment) but I know my lazy butt well enough to know I won’t wash my face and put on any treatment lotions, etc. at night with any regularity. Give me an all-in-one toner and I’d be happy!
Laura S. says:
I wash my face with Aveeno foaming cleanser in the shower and use makeup removing wipes at night. Sometimes I just use a plain old Dove beauty bar – it works great to remove makeup. I moisturize with Cetaphil when I remember.
Jennifer says:
I wash my face and use Garnier gel in summer and Clinique lotion in winter. That’s pretty much it.
Samantha F in St. Paul says:
I am almost embarrassed to admit that my regimine is basically non-exsistant and has been most of my life. Basically I will wash it in the shower using the same body wash I use on my body and then slap on whatever lotion I use on the rest of my body as well.
Now that I’m getting older I am finding this is sorely lacking and that I need to use better products-however, I’m clueless as to what I should be using.
Whitney says:
Pretty much the only GOOD thing that I do for my skin is daily sunscreen!
Kendra says:
I’m pretty basic. I rinse my face with water and I use some lotion after I shower. I have oily skin and the more I wash, the oiler it tends to get. With only the occasional few pimples it seems to be working.
Heidi T says:
I use Philosophy face wash in the shower and moisturizer afterwards. Makeup maybe once or twice a month. I am low maintenance.
Jamie F says:
I am using Serious Skin Care C line right now, but am always open to change! Thanks for hosting!!
Natalie says:
I am that version of you who neglects her skin. Shame on me. I want to be better. I remove the smudgy mascara w/ eye makeup remover & occasionally wash my face in the shower with body wash. Naughty me
I would love to win a set of Beauty Mint! Those dark undereye circles can use some help!
Sheryl says:
I don’t have a routine per se. I wash it with Mary Kay & wear makeup when I feel like it. Sad, but true…
Joy says:
When my computer comes on at work with face recognition for access, I scare myself every morning, guess I need some help!
electricdaisy says:
My skin care is rather simple, as I’m also doing that annoying early-twenties thing where you don’t do great things for your skin. I have a Target-brand facewash with ginseng and Vitamin C in it that I use. I just started mixing warm honey and brown sugar for a natural scrub and using that once a week.
Jayme says:
I use a really, really gentle cleanser to wash morning and night, and moisturize religiously. I have super sensitive skin, so the products I use have to be free of pretty much anything. I don’t wear makeup everyday, but when I do, it’s just a lightly tinted moisturizer. And I slather my face and neck in sunscreen.
Beverly says:
I use Neutrogena Foaming Cleanser and their Alcohol Free Toner and then I use the Aveeno lotion. At 43 I still get breakouts here and there and I am always up for trying something new since it seems nothing keeps my face 100% clear. Thanks for this opportunity!
Amy says:
I pretty much wash my face in the shower and that’s it. I’m just awful about taking care of my skin. I get a random break out, but i’ve always been lucky when it comes to that.
rachel says:
I have a similar skincare system that I’m using right now. I like it, but I would love to try something different and see what happens! It would be great to have a chance to try BeautyMint out before deciding to pay for it every month!
Jen says:
I am just like you! I used to be able to neglect my skin and lucky me, things would just turn out fine. But now it seems more and more products irritate my skin. Maybe it’s just I am using the wrong ones? Right now I am only using Aveeno products as they are hypoallergenic and my skin agrees with them. Thanks for the chance to win! Also I am glad these products are working so well for you.
Cheryl says:
I hate to admit it but I hop around trying basically everthing! I currently have in my cabinet, Mary Kay Timewise, Oil of Olay and Orgins. It depends on my mood which one I will use in the morning. My skin is getting more sensitive though, I am noticing more redness and capallaries at the surface. I am very fair (and a redhead) so it would be nice to find something that I like and would actually stick with!
Kristin says:
I use Basis face wash in the shower, and, more often than not, just some variety of makeup remover cloth before bed, but if I’m not being lazy, I LOVE the smell of Burt’s Bees orange facial cleanser. Most days, I put a moisturizer with SPF on under my makeup usually something like Neutrogena. And then I occasionally try any freebies that I get from Clinique when I buy my foundation. I tend to break out, rather, um, cyclically, and I’ve gota few dark spots, but otherwise not too many complaints. My skin is hardly radiant, but I’m still pretty wrinkle-free as I’m entering my 40s, so I don’t have too many complaints…
divrchk says:
How bad is it that I don’t really have a regimin? I wear some makeup once in a blue moon and wash it off at night but I should use more products more regularly. This would be great to win!
Melissa says:
I use Mary Kay products, but I do not do a good job of consistently washing makeup off at night
Sara R. says:
Oooh, I am always on the lookout for good skincare products! I am currently using the Aveeno Active Naturals set I got for Christmas, but my favorite products are from Juice Beauty.
Jessica says:
Right now, I am using Philosophy Hope in a Bottle and Hope in a Jar. My skin almost always breaks out when I switch to a new product and I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant and worried that my skin is going to flip out and give me deep dark purple pimples to deal with at any moment! It’s great that you were able to switch over without a problem!
Rebecca says:
My current skin care regimine is water….I just wash my face with lots of water and pat it dry with a towel. I need something. Maybe I’ll win this and Voila! I’ll look beautiful.
Erin C. says:
I just wash it with Ivory Soap or Dove (when I remember to buy it!) And moisturizer when I think of it. Pretty bad routine, so I think this kit would be perfect for me to get into a BETTER routine!
Shana says:
Cetaphil is my go-to cleanser. I’m currently using a Kiehl’s eye crea (hate), Nivea Pure and Natural day cream (LOVE), and Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for blemishes (also love).
Emily says:
In the evening, I wash my face with the Clinique facial soap bar and then followup with the clarifying lotion and moisturizer. Trying my hardest to incorporate daily sunscreen into my morning routine …
Heather says:
Hahahaha…my routine? It isn’t much of one! Cetaphil to wash, Pond’s to moisturize, Aveeno face sunscreen during the day under makeup. Voila! I could probably be doing more.
Maria says:
Aaah, I have terrible skin! I don’t know if it’s much of a regimen but I wash my face morning and night, use whatever product I’m currently trying for breakouts, and then moisturizer.
amanda says:
Gosh, i keep telling myself one day I’m going to remove all my make up and switch my basic neutrogena cleanser for something more revitaling- night shift and babies don’t help my dark circles….maybe today is the day
Chris Moraes says:
Really need to start taking care of my skin now (almost 36) so could really use this. Plus, saw a friend recently and the first thing she said was I looked tired (puffy eyes I’m sure).
Vickie Couturier says:
Ive used moisturizer everynight since I was in my 20’s an I dont have many wrinkles now at age 56
vlbelk(at)Hotmail.com
Jamie In Indy says:
I use Olay body wash at night with cold cream as a moisturizer! I need a new plan because my face is very dry.
Lisa says:
I need a good routine, my post-pregnancy skin is pretty whack. I use mostly drugstore cleansers (Clean & Clear cream cleanser, Biore anti-breakout something or other) and whatever lil pot-o-moisturizer looks most moisturizing. Right now, it’s Regenerist. Pretty good, not revolutionary. Beauty Mint sounds snazzy, and I’d love to try it! Thanks for the giveaway.
Kathy Stevenson says:
I would love to win this!
Crystal says:
Right now its just Dr Bronners and a warm wash cloth. I could REALLY use this!!
Chelsea says:
My skin seems to break out no matter what I do. Right now I use ProActiv, but because it’s winter I can’t use it everyday or else my face gets too dry. I’m looking for something that will help clear my skin without making it feel sandblasted!
Becca H. says:
I normally wash my face with face soap and then slather on the moisturizer. I’m a fan of Neutrogena moisturizer! I do this about every other day though. I’ve not yet started to do that on a daily basis.
AuroraLynn says:
Hi Heather!
I live in Canada so I can’t win this one, (I’m bummed..Oh well!) but I went to their website anyway to check it out because I’ve been feeling like I need a change to my skin regime now that I’m getting older…
I was just wondering whether you thought you would use up all that stuff in just one month. The website says they will auto-resend to you every month, but I couldn’t see how many millitres were actually in the bottles from the pictures, so I couldn’t compare with my normal skin care products to see if it’s worth the price.
Thanks lady!
Heather says:
I actually did NOT use it all in one month. I don’t know if I am not using enough, or if my natural hoarders-instinct is making me stingy, but for me, it took me two months to go through it all.
Lisa F. says:
I went on Accutane a few years back because I was not able to get a handle on my breakouts. It has helped, but I’ve currently found that my skin is starting to break out a little again. So I have tapped into my stash of Proactiv. We’ll see if it works.
Kim Q says:
Haha! What regimen??? :o) I’m doing well if I get my face washed. But the dark circles under my eyes (why won’t you sleep baby???) really need to magically disappear.
Karen says:
I use Target brand Cetaphil and whatever SPF moisturizer is on sale when I’m shopping, but I’m starting to think I need a real regimen.
Adrianne says:
Ok, my regimen is really complicated, so prepare yourself! It goes like this:
1. put on makeup in the morning.
2. wash off makeup before bed (MOST nights) with wet makeup remover wipe (brand depends on what’s on sale at the grocery store)
3. occasionally use Aveeno face wash in the shower when I’m feeling like being extra clean and diligent.
Yeah, I think I need help!
Heather says:
I use a Biore cleanser, but every month I’m still getting breakouts. And I have no idea which sunscreen to use. Blah, I need help!
Carla S says:
I wash my face every morning with Clean&Clear Morning Burst.. Then I towel dry it and put on eye shadow and mascara. Occasionally, I’ll put on face moisturizing lotion. My face stays dry, it’s always red.. Poor face. Lol
Sabrina Ethridge says:
I wash my face with aveeno in the shower and then put lotion on in the morning. I try to do a face scrub every week , but I forget sometimes. With 3 kids, I’m always looking for something to get rid of the dark circles under my eyes, but I rarely remember to use what I’ve bought.
buttah says:
My beauty regimen sucks!! I wash with an oil of olay cleanser and moisturize with an oil of olay SPF 15 lotion…but I have hormone issues and my skin freaks out no matter what!! I have more acne as a 34 year old than I did at 16!! I need help BAD!!! I’m considering trying Proactiv too, but I would love to find something that will help clear my skin up and make it beautiful and glowing again!
Rachel says:
I use Garnier Daily Exfoliating Gel in the shower because I like to feel like I’ve scrubbed my face, though the softer stuff is probably better for me. Then I use either Garnier Skin Renew moisturizer (if I’m feeling cheap) or Clinque Even Better moisturizer (if I’m feeling flush). And that’s it!
Katya says:
I have extremely sensitive skin and a slight case of rosacea. I have breakouts MOSTLY under control, but would love to see if I could find something that would eliminate them all together!
Paige says:
I have no skin care regimen. I have noticed now that I’m getting older that I need to moisturize, but haven’t found a product that I like yet.
Lindsay says:
I would love to try BeautyMint! I’m always looking for something to make my skin feel healthier and more wrinkle free!
Cathy says:
Pshaw. What beauty routine? Who has time to take care of your skin when sleeping in is so much more important? J/K. I use noxema in the shower and Dove moisturizer when I have time.
Erin says:
I’m still in the ‘sleep with makeup on and wash my face with bar soap’ set. The sad thing is, I’m way too old to still be doing that. Maybe BeautyMint will change that?
Lori Dumas says:
I don’t do a lot besides washing my face at night. I would love to check this out.
Kay says:
This looks like it’s right up my alley- I’m in my early 20’s, but my skin is beginning to act up the way it never did when I was a teenager (like you, I was pretty neglectful as far as skincare was concerned, but biology was very forgiving to me). Now I find I’m beginning to break out more often for no obvious reason, which is really quite annoying. I need to find a new regiment to deal with this before it gets too bad.
Sara says:
I use Cetaphil face soap and would love to try a new product!
Kristina says:
I am now 34 years old and think it is long pass time to start taking care of my skin. I would love to try something. Thanks Heather for the information on these products.
Erin F. says:
Cetaphil face wash daily, Apricot scrub a couple of times a week, lotion and eye cream in the morning, anti-wrinkle night cream at night. It would be fun to try something new!
Sandy says:
I really don’t do much of anything. I don’t wear makeup, so usually its just using a face wash daily in the shower. I wouldn’t mind trying something for puffiness though.
Mel says:
I am very low maintenance, but could really use this. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and since then my skin is so dry. I am getting older and should do something beyond washing and using Clinique moisturizer at night.
Theresa Corrigan says:
My skin is similar to yours, Heather. I have used the same products for ages because I break out like crazy any time I try anything new! I currently wash my face with Cetaphil, both in the morning and at night before I go to bed. I follow up with Cetaphil moisturizer (SPF 15). I wear makeup occasionally, but I try to avoid it so I don’t break out.
Heather says:
Theresa! You are the winner!!! YAY! Email me: thespohrs at gmail.com. Congrats!
Rhea says:
I am really into Josie Maran’s Argan Cleansing Oil lately. I massage some into my face at night, slather on some anti-wrinkle cream (I’m only 25…. sad day, paranoid day) and hit the hay. I don’t typically wash my face in the morning because my skin has been a bit dry and weatherworn lately. Everything seems to be working, though!
Beauty Mint looks really cool.
Mommy Boots says:
I have really temperamental skin. I’ve had to work really hard at finding something that works. I finally figured out that my skin is a jerk and has expensive taste and likes Mary Kay. And I only use mineral makeup.. Everything else feels yucky on my face.
Michelle says:
I have to say that I used to take better care of my skin before I became pregnant. Once I was on bed rest for four months and then I had a newborn I never really got my skin care back to normal. I now wash my face when I shower with my body soap and then if I have time I will put some moisturizer on it.
Kassia says:
I wash my face when I shower. I shower three times a week. I’m not proud of either of those things. I’m not going to talk about my dental care or how long it’s been since I shaved my legs or armpits. I have to small children (16 mo apart), a 40 hour a week job, a house to keep clean (ish) and a husband that needs more attention than he gets. So yea, I could really use some skin care. And a nap.
Rian says:
I use mostly Origins products. I love that everything is natural. I too suffer from acne and dry winter skin. I’d be willing to try something new if it worked.
Mary O says:
I try to keep up my facial routine, but I admit that I can be lazy, for sure. Which usually leads to breakouts. Hmmmm.
Gamanda says:
I’m currently using Burt’s Bees Tomato Facial Scrub, followed up with Burt’s Bees Tomato Toner and then Aveeno lotion. The BBs does help firm my pores, but I’m still having breakouts, so I could definitely use a new regimen.
Jaedeanne says:
Currently? Baby shampoo. That’s my daily facial routine. I grab whatever bottle of shampoo that my toddler is using, scrub my face all over, including my difficult-to-remove mascara, and rinse off. That’s it.
*sigh* Having actual product to use sounds lovely!
Jen says:
I’ve got a pretty good thing going with Mary Kay’s Timewise cleanser, Oil of Olay Moisturizer with SPF, and Clean & Clear pimple gel for breakouts. Mostly, my skin is decent… but I’m noticing LINES. AND WRINKLES. IN THE EYE AREA. Gah. Oldness is comingggg….
Bee says:
Don’t enter me! Just commenting to let your readers know that if they DO order from BeautyMint, they will be agreeing to a “membership” that will be automatically charged to their credit card each month. You will need to call them to cancel (or keep it, and just keep buying whatever amount of stuff they charge to you each month, if you like the products). I’m not a fan of that kind of setup, personally, and felt ripped off when I did this based on another blogger’s review and discount, just like this one.
Ali says:
My poor little regimen has always been subject to change currently, It’s Mary Kay face wash, followed by a light daily moisturizer with sunscreen and, well, that’s all I have time for before the baby starts asking for attention, or the dog needs to go out, or the maiman comes…:)
Heather G says:
I currently wash my face in the shower in the morning. I always use a moisturizer. If I’m good (and remember) I repeat at night.
Abigail @ Skywaitress says:
I’m so lazy with my skin care. I have really easy skin so I usually just wash it with warm water in the shower and put whatever lotion I have at the time after. Often as not it’s not even face lotion. Gasp! I know. I do have the worst dark circles though so I would love something that helps with those.
Shaynee says:
I am zealous about sunscreen (hello first skin cancer at 30) but relatively simple otherwise. I like the Keys RX line, as it is all natural and my skin actually tolerates it. But I am open to other options!
Connie Petruzziello says:
I use philosophy’s Pure face wash and kiehls absynne moisturizer day and night. works pretty well but i have a very red face and uneven skin tone.
this company looked pretty cool and the price was right, but i don’t love how they lock you into a “subscription” and you have to call and cancel if you don’t want to receive products from them for the rest of your life. seems like a lot of hassle for skincare. i’d be more willing to take a chance and buy a kit if i could get it on a one-off and i wasnt enrolled in the club or whatever. waa waa life is so hard
Lena says:
I’m always looking for new skin products because my skin has so many issues! I wish I was blessed with nice skin! Right now I use a Clarisonic with AcneFree cleanser, then the toner and lotion. I just started using FirmX for my crow’s feet and under eye wrinkles.
Briana says:
I don’t have much of a routine, but I need one! I just turned 30 and I am so scared of having old skin! I wash my face one time a day with a cheap cleanser and use moisturizer once a day. I would love this stuff!!!!!!!
Amy W. says:
I wash my face morning and night with a Clean and Clear scrub.
Jennifer says:
I used to actually take care of my face and do make up but once I got pregnant with my daughter (5 years ago) I kind of stopped that and then after she was here I never had time. I now have a son as well and only wear makeup on a really special occasion and I only wash my face every morning with plain water.
Tracy says:
I have a bar of soap, because I’m cheap.
Hannah P. says:
I changed my skin care regimen lately as I was noticing more acne. Now I use a gentle cleanser from the spa I go to, Olay anti wrinkle night lotion and retin A at night. During the day I use olay sunscreen. I’d love to try something new!
Gabby says:
I wash my face with Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castile Soap. I used to use the Biore pore cleansing scrub, but it left my face dry and oily. Now it’s just semi-dry and oily. I can’t find a good face lotion so I use Aveeno and then wipe off the excess.
Jessica says:
I don’t really have a skin care regimen, but I need one! Occasional washing just isn’t cutting it anymore.
Christina P. says:
I’m so lazy and I really should take better care of my skin. I was my face in the shower every morning with Dove bodywash and then Apricot facial scrub. In the evening, I take my makeup off with Neutrogena make up removal/cleaner towelettes. That’s it, I’m ashamed to say.
Nicole says:
Ha! I’m just like the old Heather….I sleep in makeup and rinse my face with water in the shower. Ta-DAAAA! Done.
Leah K. says:
I have really dry skin. I sleep in makeup and rarely remove it until I need to clean it up in the mornings. I keep a cheap face wash in the shower, and as long as I wash my face every time I shower, my skin is usually decent. In the summer, I will sometimes use a baby wipe if I feel like I need a little extra washing. I rarely have breakouts, but when I do, the spots never form right so I end up with an ugly scab for days — horrible on fair skin!
Dee says:
Skin Regimen – wash with gentle facewash (aveeno) and lotion up (oil of olay). Don’t use much make up – eye and lip that is it
Karen M says:
I wash my face with a gentle scrub, then lotion it up!
meekasmommy says:
I have a pretty basic routine – wash face, motion morning and evening, minimal makeup…
Elizabeth says:
Well, I definitely fall into the “no regimen” category, but unlike most of the other commenters I read, I know I am past due for updating. Maybe a new, correct formulation would be motivating.
Rachel says:
*Sigh*
My skin is so high-maintenance. Right now I wash it with clinique face wash in the am, follow with clinique clarifying lotion, then clinique face lotion. Then at night I use acne free sensitive, follow with their moisturizer and spot treatment. I wear bare minerals make-up because it evens out my skin tone and doesn’t make the breakouts worse. Adult onset acne is teh suck. I’d definitely give this stuff a try!
KaraB says:
To be honest, I am terrible about taking care of my skin and now that I’m 35 (ugh) I should really pay more attention to it. Basically all I do is a quick wash and occasionally I’ll use a moisturizer, especially in the winter! My skin is so super sensitive so I get a little wary about putting anything on it as well. It sounds like this isn’t harsh at all so I think it’s worth a shot!
Chelsea says:
I wish I could get away with not washing my face…JEALOUS!! Morning and night I use clean and clear scrub and moisturizer. Once a week I use a biore nose strip, and once a week I use a purifying mask. I finally have my routine nailed down, but I’m totally willing to throw a wrench in it to try this new stuff! Looks fun!
Laura says:
Oh you have no idea how timely this is for me! Just this weekend I was whining to my best friend how unhappy my face is lately, and how it’s just breaking out all the time! I’d love the chance to try something new for free.
Lately I’ve been using cleanser and lotion from clinique…it worked for a while, but not really anymore! I just switched to a face wash by garnier and face lotion by olay, used in the morning and before bed. But this beauty mint stuff sounds really neat with the personalization!
Bridget says:
I clean my face in the shower with Neutrogena face wash, and sometimes use makeup removal cloths at night. I’m so lazy!!
Shannon O says:
I’m not that great to my skin. I have some Burt’s Bees orange cleaner that I use sometimes when I’m bathing.
Nicole says:
I sleep in my makeup…and wash my face every couple days with an exfoliant when I’m in the shower…. my skin hates me.
AJO says:
I don’t have enough of a routine, unfortunately. Wash it every morning…. night time is much more of an occasional thing. Whoops, bad me. But I’m tired! :-\
Alyse says:
I’m embarrassed to admit… I barely have one. I consider washing my face almost every night but more couch time always wins out. I do wash every morning in the shower, exfoliate every couple days, and ALWAYS use a moisturizer with SPF. Hopefully that has some redeeming value!
Manda says:
Sounds like something I need to try! I do not currently have a “regiment” except for wash the face in the AM and PM. I’m 34 guess I better start now! lol!
Jenn says:
Cool giveaway! I have oily skin that is prone to breakouts so my skin regimen pretty much consists of the Clinique Acne Solutions line twice a day (cleansing foam, clarifying lotion, and oil-free clearing moisturizer) followed by the Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector. I also use the Clinique exfoliating scrub a few times a week.
I have tried the Josie Maran argan oil cleanser, but I couldn’t tell if it was reducing my breakouts after a week or two, so I went back to Clinique. The argan oil does make your face feel soft and moisturized, though.
Heather Drudge says:
I have 5 kids and pregnant with my 6th so I am lucky to wash my face or do anything for myself for that matter. I use Cetaphil for my cleanser and Oil of Olay for moisturizer. Thats it. Thanks.
Jessica Makuh says:
I exfoliate with St. Ives and wash my face with Aveeno. It works most of the time as long as I do it. Many nights I am just too tired and don’t bother, which makes me break out sometimes. I’m trying to wash my face twice a day during the day, before I get too tired, but it doesn’t always work out. Back when I was in college, I washed my face twice a day, rain or shine. Now that I’m a Mom, my skin gets a lot less attention.
Jen says:
I use mostly Bare Escentuals skincare. Deep Cleansing Foam in the morning with my clairsonic. Moisturizer is Garnier, renew and hydrate eye cream from BE. At night I use BE’s purifying facial cleanser to remove my make up and the new Active Cell Renewal Night serum to help with moisture and my garnier moisturizer. Then I top off everything with my BE Pure Transformation night treatment to help with my redness and large pores. Three times a week I use Biore even smoother micro-derm exfoliator.
LibraryGirl62 says:
Don’t have one! But since I will be 50 in two weeks…maybe I should start
Jess V. says:
I wash my face in the morning and at night, and moisturize both times. About once a week I exfoliate.
Jess D says:
Let’s see, in the morning, it’s St. Ives apricot scrub, Neutrogena toner & Aveeno positively radiant moisturizer. At night, it’s makeup remover wipes, Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Cream wash & more Aveeno. I could use a product makeover!
Stephanie says:
My only routine is using my Clarisonic cleansing brush. I’m turning 26 this year so my skin is currently transitioning and no matter what I use I have little breakouts. Maybe I’m drying it out when I should be moisturizing more…who knows?
Amberlee says:
Currently I use cetaphil in the mornings and St Ives scrub in the shower. My skin tends to be dry and is NEVER blemish free unfortunately. I also have bags under my eyes constantly.
Lisa says:
I use Olay Pro-x. Morning and night, and I still break out. I can’t stand it, I need a new solution!!!!
Lauren says:
Ugh, I have awful, oily skin- I’m in my early 20s so my acne isn’t quite as bad as it used to be, but I still break out fairly frequently and I have some residual scarring. Basically this means that most days I wear concealer because I apparently will never outgrow being self-conscious, wash it off before I go to the gym at night, wash my face with acne wash after the gym in the shower, and use spot treatment acne zapper stuff. Plus sunscreen in the summer because I also burn easily. I’m always up for trying new products that will keep my skin normal!
Mikki says:
I have none and I need to start. I wash my face with regular soap and it gets horribly dry or I just rinse with water and don’t feel like it gets clean enough.

Tara R says:
Oil of Olay foaming face wash is what i use nightly. I tend to skip lotion because i sometimes break out.
Joyce says:
I have a bad habit of falling asleep in my make up (I have a baby and toddler who think sleep is overrated…) but I swear by Aveeno Skin Brightening facewash and Oil of Olay daily spf 15 moisturizer. When I have a bit extra in la banque I go for Murad exfoliating facewash and Clinique moisturizer. Totally up for trying some new fancypants products though!
Katie says:
I’m bad at skin care – I wash my face in the shower and rarely wear make up but when I do I rarely wash it off at night. I guess now that I’m [almost] in my mid-30s I should start caring a little more…
Kate says:
I’ve been a dedicated Mary Kay user since college, which has always served me well but lately my skin just looks a little dull. Can’t be all the wine, right? Must need new skin care!
jenny schmidt says:
I don’t do a whole lot-at night I wash with a green tea scrub, i think from aveno? (but i’m not sure) and just put moisturizer on. in the morning, I use a toner to clean my skin and moisturizer again and light foundation. I’d love to try something new like this!
Mary says:
I wash my face with water and use Oil of Olay moisturizing sunscreen; I sometimes try other products but don’t know how to figure out which ones won’t irritate my sensitive skin! I’m glad to hear about this product!
Dianna says:
I use Olay products to clean and moisturize my face.
kelly says:
my regime is virtually non-existent. on occasion i was my face, on another i may moisturize. it’s sad!
Trishk says:
Mary Kay products. Wash night and morning. Moisturize, sunscreen…etc.
Kellye says:
Currently, because of my very sensitive skin, I’m limited to washing my face with Aveeno cleanser. But I’ve been looking for a new skin care regime and would love to try this!
kathryn says:
I am lucky that my skin is pretty easy…I rarely break out, and usually just have to moisturize to keep it happy. I exfoliate once or twice a month, but that’s about it.
Amanda C says:
Morning I use a premoistened face wipe and then moisturize, eye cream and makeup. Evening I again use a face wipe and moisturize eye cream again before bed, I tend to breakout on my chin and forehead occasionally and have TERRIBLE dark eye circles which is why I tend to use makeup every day to cover up. I’d be interested in a new eye care regimen!!
Caitlin says:
My skincare regimen is a blend of Bliss and Clinique products. But, sometimes I skip washing off my makeup. (Bad, I know). I’d really love to try some new products though, as I still have acne, even though I’m 21 years old.
angie says:
I wash my face with nutragena acne face wash and then I put on lotion. Does that count. Obviously I need help!
Kari says:
I can’t seem to find anything gentle that works with my skin. I would absolutely love to give this stuff a try!
Rachel C says:
I use Purity by Philosophy, morning and night. I use Philosophy’s acne gel in the morning, and I’ve been using Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion morning and night also. I am still mourning the fact that Philosophy discontinued the best moisturizer ever made: Hope in a Bottle. Woe.
Courtney says:
I wash and moisturize my face day and night. No specific products, but always sunscreen during the day!
Tammy M. says:
Wash and moisturize – morning and night. That’s it.
Diane B. says:
Wrinkles and breakouts together–joy. But if I stopped breaking out once a month, how would I know when to expect cramps?
shelly says:
I have very sensitive skin – so I usually use a mild face wash like cetaphil, followed by CeraVe moisturizer. I just recently bought the clarisonic too, hoping that improves my texture and prevents my “monthly” breakouts!
Sarah says:
I use clearasil daily scrub in the shower, and once i’m out of the shower i immediately moisturize with eucarin face lotion, spf 30.
Amanda M. says:
I was told years ago by a dermatologist to use Dove. Since I’ve had my daughter two years ago, I’m HORRIBLE about washing my face at night (by the time she’s bathed, ready for bed, so am I!) But I do use the Dove in the morning and some Mary Kay mosturizer.
Cara says:
My beauty regimen is to wash with Neutrogena Face Wash and apply whatever moisterizer is on hand..voila! So I may need to start re-thinking that one…
Danyelle says:
I rarely wear makeup, but I try to remember to smear on moisturizer every morning and night. I generally use neutragena or anew.
Christina says:
I’m 35 and Im conVINCED I see lines…I really gotta lay off the bar soap and be a big girl find real products
Amanda says:
I use Burt’s Bees Sensitive face wash in the shower and whatever random moisturizer I pick up in the store at night. I desperately need a new routine because this winter is being BRUTAL to my face.
Amy says:
I’m awful…my skin is really good- a little dry, but no major breakouts. I just wash my face with drugstore wash and then moisturize…and I don’t do that every night. Yikes! I’m going to regret that when I’m older, right?
Emily says:
I don’t have a great skin care routine…. I just started using Neutrogena naturals facewash and not sure how I like it… I use cetaphil lotion because my face is super dry. I would love to try something new!
Linda Campbell says:
My skin routine is whatever works at the time. I am 46 years, and since I was 11, I have had terrible skin. I still break out, I still have the oiliest rotten skin in the world. If someone can find something to make it better, I swear I’d give them anything. I has changed the person I am.
Lauren says:
I’m not so good at taking care of my skin- because it’s so finicky! I have SUPER sensitive skin and can’t even put regular sunscreen on it without an itchy breakout. I’m definitely interested in this BeautyMint line- right now I use only Aveeno products that don’t foam, and although I do relatively enjoy them, I still get a punch of zits!

Melanie says:
My routine is pretty sad right now – I wash my face with whatever I picked up at the drugstore. I need serious help! A personal set would be perfect!
Sarah a says:
Umm routine? If I’m lucky I’ll wash my face before it hits my Pillow
Ali says:
I have pretty icky skin, and unfortunately can’t afford to buy those insane products that “work miracles” for some people. BUT I do deal with what I’ve got. I used Neutrogena redness soothing acne wash. Once a day, (well only at night right before bed) and it seems to help somewhat!
Marisol says:
I use St. Ives apricot scrub and then clean and clear morning glow moisturizer, but for the past year or so my skin has not been what it used to! I need new products for my face and have no idea what to try next!
Heidi Herbst says:
I wouldn’t call what I do a routine. I wash my face in the shower with some face soap I bought at Target. I follow-up with some Burt’s Bee’s eye cream and moisturizer.
I’ve been looking for something to help me look younger and am hoping this works for me. I just ordered some at your recommendation.
Emily says:
I use some sort of philosophy face wash, but that’s it.
Lori says:
I use a clarisonic and cetaphil, but would love to try the beauty mint on my fair but dry skin =)
thanks!
Lisa says:
I wash my face, when I wear make-up, which these days is about once a week. =p My cleanser is usually Neutrogena. I also use moisturizer with sunscreen, again on the days I actually bother with makeup. I’ve been noticing that I’m starting to get fine lines, ect. and wondering if perhaps I should step it up, but haven’t been sure where to start, so thanks!
Leslie says:
I use Clean and Clear cleanser, astringent, and moisturizer twice a day, and I drink as much water as I can hold! I’m really starting to get OCD-ish about taking care of my skin
Jean says:
I need a routine! Maybe this can help!
Chelsea says:
I have horribly dry skin so I use whatever is gentle. Right now that’s Say Yes to Carrots face wash and a Cetaphil moistureizer.
Maureen says:
I am a full time working Mom with 2 boys 5 and 11 – I have no beauty/skin care routine… I am grateful for a shower and clean close. I would love to have a routine that was easy and not too expensive that I could manage with out to much hassle.
I love reading your blog….I don’t comment often because I am usually busy and have to run to do something. I came upon your blog after my sister died.
Becky says:
I don’t do much just use a basic cleanser and then use a daily moistureizer with sunscreen. I only wear makeup for special occasions. I always feel overwhelmed with all the choices when it comes to skin care and beauty products!
Leigh Elliott says:
My skin care regimen involves a squirt of generic ‘cetaphil’ skin cleanser in the shower. I love that it is not “soapy” and it’s simple, yet strong enough to get yesterdays make-up off of my face. After the shower, I use a little “Clinique” – Dramatically Different lotion, or sometimes I use Garnier’s refreshing gel cream. I especially like the gel cream after a day out in the sun, it makes my skin feel so good. That is it!
I know I should be doing more, and I just turned 40 last week….I feel like I am at the age now where I need to pay closer attention to this stuff if I want to keep wrinkles at bay.
Tabitha says:
You know, I don’t have a facial care anything. I am getting closer and closer to the big 3-0 and was just telling my hubby that I need to start taking care of my skin because I’m not 25 anymore (although ask me and I’ll claim to be!) This would be a great way to get me started and help me find something that I can use long term.
Anne DiNapoli says:
Glad to see I’m not the only person who neglects their skin. Horrible habit! I will check them out. Thanks for the info.
Meghan says:
I usually wash my face at night. But not all the time. gah. The face wash I use is by Aveeno. It is okay. This giveaway sounds awesome!
sammysweet says:
When I turned 30 I noticed the dreaded dark circles under my eyes – ugh, the never ending battle now!
