This is a sponsored post and $150 giveaway from Tea Collection. Thank you, Tea Collection!
I’ve mentioned it before, but Annabel is my little fashionista. I didn’t really start caring about my clothing until I was at least eleven or twelve, but Annie started caring (literally) years ago. As soon as she could stand up she was pulling down outfits from her closet or out of her dresser. Ninety percent of the time, I am fine with whatever ensemble she puts together (the other ten percent of the time she’s wearing, say, a lace dress to the park, and that’s not okay). One of the things I quickly learned was to put the nicer items where she couldn’t reach them. Another trick I picked up is buying her clothing in colors that are complementary. This isn’t always possible, but it definitely helps eliminate the “did she dress herself” questions that can sometimes follow a child’s more…interesting…outfits. Although, Annie’s outrageous outfits don’t bother me because they really show off her personality (and they don’t happen very often because the girl knows how to dress).
Tea Collection is all about helping children express themselves through clothing, so they are a great fit for Miss Annabel. The colors are as vibrant as Annie’s personality, and the clothes themselves are extremely well-made, which is important to me because I need Annie’s duds to withstand lots of washes. I mean seriously – they last YEARS: some of my favorite clothes of Annie’s are hand-me-down Tea Collection items from my friends with older daughters.
Tea Collection was kind enough to send Annie a gift card to spend, and she sat next to me and picked out every single thing she wanted. When all her new clothes arrived, she had a blast putting together outfits.
Every single look really screams ANNABEL:
The outfits in the video are the Lychee Twirl Dress, the Ocean Jewel Shoulder-Tie Dress, the Venda Outfit, and the Cape Point Beach Dress.
She is also obsessed with the Seafarer Rumba Dress:
and loves the Sea Gypsy Outfit (with purple shorts instead of pink):
Tea Collection is generously giving one of my readers $150 to spend in their store. Awesome! You have two ways to enter to win. The first is to leave a comment describing the way you or your kid (or the favorite kid in your life) expresses him or herself, be it through clothing, performance, etc. The second is to go to the Tea Collection website, sign up for email updates (sign-up is located in the middle of their homepage), and then leave me another comment telling me you’ve done so. Winner will be chosen via Random.org. Contest will close at 9pm pacific time on Monday, May 27th. US Residents only.
Also? Tea Collection sells clothes for women, too! I have my eye on a few things, and once this tummy of mine is gone Imma be spendin’.
Thanks everyone, and good luck!

My daughter is only 2, but she’s already expressing herself via art! She loves to color, and even at 18 months she would get very upset if we couldn’t guess what she drew. I’d love to be able to get her some bright new outfits to match her colorful personality!

My 5 year old is all about frills… she won’t wear pants. It is only skirts and dresses for her. And, when trying them on, she spins to see if they twirl well enough. It’s very funny.
Mindy says:
My daughter (middle child, only girl) was all about her shoes when she was 1. She would walk around pushing her foot out for someone to compliment her shoes. She then went through a Superhero phase….which then lead to Superhero/tutus. Now she’s all about dresses and shoes again. She has more style than I ever did.
Amy D. says:

I have 2 boys (1 and 3) and I really try to dress them with a lot of color while I can. I know some day they will have opinions and start dressing like little teenagers or men so while they are little and I can choose their clothing I like to see them in lot of color (bright blues, orange, bright green, etc). I love Tea Collection since they offer such a nice escape from all the generic boy clothing I see in stores!

My grand-niece (sighs, I’m not even 40) is a little diva already! It runs in the family and I fear/know that the second grand-niece (again, not even 40 here) is going to be the same! I cannot wait to spoil them both, as they’re the only baby girls so far. Even better is that it’d do double the work as the outfits would become hand-me-downs!
Nicole says:
My daughter expresses herself in her clothes – and shoes!!! OMG don’t try to suggest a shoe to her, she’ll tell you NO 99% of the time and look at you as if you’ve personally offended her by suggesting she wears THOSE shoes with THIS outfit. She’s very Devil Wears Prada, and I’m more…. punky brewster meets lazy stay at home mom when it comes to my clothes… I’m SO in for it when she starts school and needs to keep up with the other kids!
Alejandra Hernandez says:

I have three year-old triplets and they express themselves in completely different ways. One is a stripes over stripes type of gal, one loves to match complementary colors and the third doesn’t care what she wears as long as it’s her panda shirt. So fun, I love to watch them get themselves dressed, that are pretty hilarious.
Lynn says:
Tea collection sounds like a good option had never heard of them…

My three little ladies have no problem expressing themselves verbally, sometimes too much so! However, my middle daughter especially is very particular about what she wears, and it HAS to be comfortable. Which is one of the things I love most about Tea Collection clothing. They are very, very wearable and downright comfy-cozy.
Susan Alberda says:

I also had never heard of this company. I looked real quick on their website before leaving this comment just to make sure they have boys clothes. My 5 year old son would LOVE the shirts I looked at. Pretty much his style is anything scary. He loves shirts with sharks, dinosaurs, monsters, super hero’s etc. He really doesn’t care what kind of pants he wears, though he prefers no buttons or snaps. I would love to win this prize. Thanks for the opportunity.

Ohhh…I have a little fashionista myself! Amelia can express herself through words, but her favorite way to show her true colors is through her clothing choices. Unfortunately, her dad gets her ready for preschool each day, and he absolutely lets her choose her clothing. Sometimes, it looks great. Sometimes, not so much. She would LOVE to have a Tea Collection shopping spree!!
Courtney says:
Does it count that my son doesn’t care what he wears, except that he always wants to be wearing his Bryce Harper jersey?

LOVE Tea Collection! My almost-two-year-old expresses herself through her mad Martha Stewart-like skills. She is the consummate hostess, asking if you’d like more water the instant your cup is dry (“Mo wawa, mama?”). She decorates and redecorates the house like no one’s business. Great if you love “random chairs placed throughout the house” as a theme. She even loves wearing her apron! I have no idea where she got any of this from, but I love it!
Colleen Rose says:

My sweet Amelia is the most artistically expressive of my children. She has always dressed however she has wanted, and at almost 7, this hasn’t changed. She is an artist, a writer, a poet, a songwriter, a creative free spirit, and I love it.
Kim says:
I have been getting Tea Collection’s emails for about 4 years now. Love them!!!
Mallory says:
I have 3 favorite little girls in my life, my 3 nieces! Chance is 11, and she expresses herself through drawing and creating visual art. She is an impressive artist! So cute! I have a niece who is a lot like you were, she just doesn’t care what she wears and is 9. Then I have my two 4 year old nieces who are very opinionated. Jackylnn loves big bows and anything “cute.” The kid loves to do anything the big kids are doing. And Ashlynn always wants to look “beautiful” and “Like a princess.” She loves to dance, sing, and talk a LOT and LOUD. She also loves to snuggle and take care of her younger siblings, and is the most sensitive little thing. THey both love dressing up and picking out their own clothes!
Rach says:
My daughter wears dresses while she rides her bikes. It’s kind of adorable, but probably not super safe. Sue me!

My goddaughter enjoys clothes. Colorful, bold, her. As long as they are weather appropriate, I have always encouraged her with pride.

I love Tea Collection! I like to buy “hand-me-ups” for my niece, who is one year older than my daughter. I know that Tea Collection’s stuff will hold up over time and come back to us looking like new – and it does!
As far as expression, my 2-year old loves to pick out her hair ties based on color. “This one’s blue just like water!” or “I like the green like trees!” and she’s surprisingly good at matching to her outfits.
Nicole says:
My daughter just turned 1.5 but she HAS to be shown her clothes before I can dress her. She’ll object with a stern “No.” if she finds something objectionable, and I’ll choose another shirt. I have no idea where she got this, as I didn’t care about clothes till I graduated college!
Nicole says:
Signed up for the email!

My daughter at 18 months has begun a shoe obsession! She must wear a pair at all times, usually pink Mickey crocs, and if she puts them on herself they are probably backwards!
Annalisa says:
We’re already signed up for their newsletter, as I fell in love with Tea when my daughter was an infant. Their clothes are a bit on the pricey side, but thus far they’ve been worth every penny. My daughter’s only beef with them is that they don’t make enough yellow clothes (the girl is obsessed with yellow right now… so we’ve had to supplement her wardrobe with Mini Boden and the like…).
Katherine says:
McKenzie is all about her “high heels” and her “real ballerina clothes”. The highlight of her life was when we were in line at Target and the woman behind us introduced herself as a professional ballet dancer and asked Kenz if she was in dance class too.
Kristen says:
Already getting heir emails but we would love to be entered. My daughter is a huge fan of their clothes, especially the tunics. A tunic length top over jeans is practically her 1st grade uniform.
Leah K. says:

Leah K. says:
We express through accessories a lot. Plainer outfits with standout jewelry or hair pieces. We really like headbands at our house!
MG says:
The way my kids express themselves is mostly by dressing for comfort/active play. My first 3 are boys…although they do have some odd desires….the eldest, always wants to wear “comfy” pants, the second would love to look like a Star Wars character and the youngest LOVES orange…it’s cute. My littlest is a girl, at 9 months old, I love to put headbands in her hair!
MG says:
AND….all signed up now!
Mommy says:
Omg so cute! I need a girl!!! My oldest expresses himself by wearing costumes- like almost every day it’s a new costume and that day we have to call him that character or animal name all day long. It’s adorable and part of what makes him him, though I do love when he wears actual clothing that we have bought him too!!
Mommy says:
All signed up! They have super cute boy stuff, yay!!

Ellen says:
I would describe my daughter as quirky. At 7 years old, she has a fantastic sense of humor and is developing characters and faces that make me laugh. She is the reason why I am more than once doing belly laughs at the grocery store while other shoppers stare at me if I am a loonie. She truly is the Duchess of Whimsy to me.
Melissa says:
Registered for the emails!

My best friend’s little girl is almost three and has to show off her outfit to everyone but her strongest obsession is shoes. She will prance around in anything cute, bright, and/or sparkly. We went to lunch recently and she insisted on wearing her pink high heel “princess shoes” and wanted to tell me about her auntie’s wedding shoes. Apparently she test drove them when everyone was at the house getting ready for the wedding. She’s so cute that even the doctors sneak her chocolates when mommy isn’t looking. Makes for an interesting time.
Bridget says:

My girls are so different. The oldest expresses herself through all of her activities (soccer, tball, dance, etc.) And my youngest, well I find her best way to express herself is when she is without her older sister, when she isn’t trying to be just like her. At those moments we experience the “True Mia”.
Heather says:
First your Annie is too cute for words! My Annie is almost 5 and for the longest time didn’t get a hoot how she looked and what she wore, but all the change recently. Now she’s wants to pick out her own clothes AND do her own hair. And we let her and we laugh (to ourselves) at what she comes up with and we just enjoy how she chooses to express herself.
Beth says:
My girl loves to put on a show for any audience, no matter how small. No performance is complete without a personally crafted tune (lyrics and all!) and her own outfit styled from the contents of as many dresser drawers as possible.

My two and a half year old loves to dress up, and now that she can put her clothes on all by herself she will frequently come out of her room (or mine) proudly wearing some random piece of clothing. The other day, for about two hours she sported a particularly fabulous look – snow boots, pink sparkly tutu, cheerleader top, purple cape, white satin gloves, four random hair clips and an upside down happy meal box for a hat all accompanied by a huge grin and frequent giggles. She also loves to tell me what I should (and shouldn’t) wear when I get dressed.

My 3-year-old son has suddenly become very particular about his clothing choices, which does not always thrill me because I thought I wouldn’t have to give up that control for at least a while longer with a boy, but it is really cute! He gets dressed and then goes to the mirror to check out his look before he leave the house every day.

Keri says:
My daughter is just like Annie. She turned three last month and started with picking her shoes when she was a year old. She is the easiest kid, except when it comes to telling her what to wear. I’ve also tried to buy coordinating colors and I hide the Easter dresses and clothes that don’t fit yet…with moderate success. The good news is your baby boy probably won’t care about clothes. My son just turned five and he still wears whatever I set out for him
Jamie says:

I have two daughters, Abby and Lauren. Abby is 6 and Lauren is 4. Abby loves the color pink and recently told me she wants all her clothes to be pink. She has become very particular about her clothes! Lauren loves skirts and soft clothes. She gets upset if there isn’t a clean skirt in her dresser or closet. She also doesn’t like jeans or anything else she considers not soft. She even feels clothes before agreeing to wear them! As you can imagine, dressing them has become difficult!

Diane B. says:
When both my girls (9 & 5 3/4 if you ask her) were in preschool they would always ask, “Is this appropriate?” because they BOTH love picking out their crazy outfits that are not always seasonally appropriate. The youngest one is much more opinionated on clothes than her older sister was at her age. If they don’t go crazy for an outfit in the store, I KNOW there is a snowball’s chance in h*!! that I’ll ever convince them to wear it…unless it’s my clothes. The youngest adores wearing my pajamas…even when they fall off her.
Diane B. says:
Just signed up for their newsletter as well. Super cute outfits. I’m just bummed that my oldest is on the bubble–pants/shorts might fit her. They are very much my youngest’s style–bright, comfy and flowy.
Gina says:
My daughters are 4 and 7 and they each have a totally unique style. One wants comfy pants and tops and the other dresses all day every day! I love how Tea Collection offers both options!

My four year old already expresses herself through fashion. She gets herself dressed every morning without being asked. Her outfits are….unusual to say the least. Even when I question her choices, she is steadfast in her choices, and tells me why her outfit is perfect!

My daughter’s (6yrs) most recent way to express herself is with her hair – she just learned how to braid her own hair. She has gotten on the school bus more than once with a braid literally hanging down the middle of her face (I’m picking my battles)!
Thanks so much for the opportunity to win!

My daughter Willow is currently expressing herself through her Daddy’s favorite hobby… playing drums! While it’s not my artistic expression of choice (baby brother’s nap times are not so quiet around here), I’m glad she’s tapping into her musical genes. My daughter likes to sing everything out in full dress up! She fully believes we are little mermaid – and I am scratching my head wondering if we need a stylist or voice lessons first
Aimee Dos Santos says:
Signed up for email too
Lex says:
My twins express themselves by dumping out all of their clothes from their drawers. And attempting to try on everything. And then end up running around in three shirts and a diaper. Fun times.

My daughter loves mixing fashion; she’ll wear a star wars shirt with pearls and a skirt with sneakers (all in one outfit). She doesn’t commit to one style just yet but likes to incorporate a little bit of everything.
Heather says:

Megan says:
My girls are about two things: dresses and bows. My oldest daughter especially wants to wear pink dresses. It’s harder to pull off than you might think!
Megan says:

Love reading how all of these other toddler girls are so into the accessories as well. My 18-month old is never without a hat, purse, scarf, or mama’s old necklaces…

Shannon Morris says:
I am on the tea collection email list

Angel says:
Whatever my 3 year old wears, she’ll flip her hair jut out her right hip and claim… “I’m a flip-flop girl!” or “I’m a flower shirt girl!” or “I’m a summer dress girl!” If I wear something to her dismay she’ll tell me NO and will pick something else out for me. Future fashion designer in the works for sure!
Maureen says:
So, my little guy expresses himself primarily in mud and dirt with streaks of sidewalk chalk for color. But, I love the clothes from Tea both from a durability standpoint, but also the cultural influences they weave into the clothing. Since our travel with a 3 year old and 18 month old is basically limited to the local park, at least the clothes let me feel like we’re exploring the world.
Steph F says:
My 4 year old son loves to dance and dress up. And Tea clothing fits him perfectly!
Steph F says:
Signed up for emails!
Heather Romano says:
We would be new to tea collection but I know my daughter would love it! she has always been a fashionista and definitely has an eye for fashion
Jen says:
My 3 year old daughter loves to wear dresses because she is a princess or a fairy. Also, fairies don’t take naps. How convenient.
Barb in Michigan says:
Clara is our 2 1/2 yr old fashionista in Chanhassen, Mn. She absolutely LOVES Tea Collections. She TWIRLS and DANCES with delight whenever a clothes package from Grandma arrives, eepecially the bright Tea Collection clothes. Clara changes her own clothes as her mood and wishes change which means about 10 to 15 wardrobe changes every day! Imagine her Mommy’s and Clara’s glee if they could choose from the Tea Collection to their hearts’ delight.
Tara Reme says:
I have a 4 year old and 2 year old daughters. My 4 year old loves to not only pick out her outfit but also pick out her sisters outfit for the day. She likes for them to match colors but not the exact same outfits. We have a couple Tea Collection outfits that are perfect because the pieces all coordinate and the two girls can match but not be in the same exact outfit.
Barb in Michigan says:
All signed up for the email alerts, but I think I already get them. Our daughter, Stephanie, LOVES Tea Collection for her kids’ clothes.
Peggy says:
My 7 year old is all about colors for summer and her favorites are combinations of red, yellow, orange and pink. Especially orange. As the third girl and the younger sister of girls with the favorite colors of blue and green, respectively, she has made her own fashion path!
Corrie says:
My girls (7 and 10) endlessly express themselves through song. Sometimes they’re singing songs they’ve learned; other times they are just making up lyrics as they move through life. Our house is rarely a quiet place. Their brother (3) has taken to joining in as well.
and p.s. We LOVE tea collection!
Adara says:
I have a cousin who is all girl! Loves to dress up, look good, and she is a diva! So cute!

Cathryn Iten says:
My 5 year old LOVES all things girly – dresses, tutu, necklaces, nail polish, etc, etc, etc!! My youngest doesn’t have much interest in those things, but loves TRAINS!!!
Sarah M. says:
My 3 1/2 year old daughter is quite the fashionista: cami tank tops, panties and rain boots are today’s “around the house” ensemble. She enjoys pairing last year’s leggings (now capris) with random t shirts and rain boots, of course. I don’t stress when she wants to leave the house dressed a little “odd.” She loves being a big girl and dressing herself. I love her independence.
Sarah says:
My oldest daughter loves clothes but probably expresses herself best by art – she’s always making stuff, asking to make stuff, or thinking about what to make.
Melinda says:
My son loves to dress up. He will put together the most bizarre outfit combinations, like a cowboy dragon wizard, complete with tail, cape, and cowboy hat. I love seeing what he comes up with.
Melinda says:
I signed up for emails.
Laura Lou says:
Both my sons are typical boys and don’t care what they wear. I like that Tea has options other than trucks, trains, and dinosaurs. They express themselves with their voices–loudly.
Brooke says:
My daughter is not so much into fashion as she is dancing and singing. She’s always belting out songs or shakin’ what her momma gave her to a song with a good beat. It’s so much fun to see her personality develop the older she gets.
Brooke says:
Signed up for email alerts with Tea Collection. I’m so excited to have a new place to look for clothes!
Lindsey says:
My kids are all grown but you better believe I am already stocking up on grandchildren clothes! Just got to get these girls married — they and their boyfriends seem quite content to live together but that’s not getting me any grandchildren….would love to win for my future grandbabies!!

My stepsons are entertainers. Singing, dancing, and general showing off. They have a great time waiting in line at Silver Diner, listening to “old” music
Judy says:
Would love some cute summer outfits for my kids! My kids have a thing for shoes and my 5 year old girl only wears dresses and t/shirt with shorts – never jeans or pants.
Liza says:
My 2.5-year-old is all about the clothes and insists on dressing herself every day — one recent memorable ensemble included two dresses, one on top of the other, with sweatpants, a safari hat, and patent leather shoes
My 5 year old loves pink, but her most important form of self-expression is art. She draws pictures about whatever is making her sad or mad and then feels better.
Amy Stone says:
My 2 1/2 year old little sweetie loves to sing and dance and perform gymnastics for us! She is truly outgoing and loves to be expressive! Such a difference from my middle daughter who was SO SHY until the age of 6!
Amy Stone says:
I have registered on their website! Such cute clothing!!! I’d love to win!
Alyse says:
At only 9 months old, my son has some time to go before he even notices that he’s wearing clothes… but dressing him up is one of my favorite things! I cant get enough collared shirts and plaid shorts. So stinkin cute. I also have a brand new neice that I’ve happily been grabbing up cute clothes for. Girl clothes rule over boys. Tutu’s and headbands and glitter? Yes!!
Stefanie says:
I have a sweet-but-already-sassafras 7 month old baby girl…she is quite vocal and loves expressing herself through squeals and shrieks! I can’t wait to see what styles she comes up with on her own soon.
Stefanie says:

I have 4 boys and they all have such distinct personalities; they don’t have to do anything other than be themselves to express themselves.
Liz Sanders says:
Bella is just like Annie! She loves to get dressed up and if I let her she would change her clothes every hour! I love to put her in dresses because they are just so easy for her and in this hot weather coming up the easier she is to dress…the better!

My little lady is just a couple of weeks older than Annie, and also quite spirited little Until recently I couldn’t get her into a skirt/dress, but now that she enjoys a good princess dress up and “dancing shoes” (my heels or her dress up shoes) she’s all about dancing and twirling. Love the outfits!
Rachel says:
My 3 year old boy does love the bold graphics of his tea collection shirts…but the way he expresses himself…through words words words and more words. He regularly tells me that someone at school is a good friend because “they commun-iate with me.” This is his highest compliment!
Lia says:
I don’t have kids but I love to wear fun hair accessories that my best friend makes me!
Christina says:
My 4 year old is all about dresses! She loves her Tea dresses and even wears them as tunics with shorts or leggings as she grows out of them. Tea is one of my favorite lines of clothing!
Allison Dossett says:
My 2.5 year old is just all sass. She loves her dresses but wants to be able to really move and play which is why I love Tea
Angela says:
My daughter at age 5 does not care about clothes. She does not care what color or style. My 3.5-year-boy is the opposite. This week there was even a melt down because I insisted he wear socks that did not match his underwear. Yes, I’m the mommy who did not think to buy character socks to match his underpants and t-shirt. I would love to try Tea. I will dress my daughter in pretty girly outfits as long as possible.
Emily B says:
Fallon has always been obsessed with her hair. Hair bows, headbands and funky braids compliments of Nonna. At two it was to her butt and by 6 it was to her knees. At 6 she made her first locks of love donation. She grew her hair out again to her butt and two months ago made another donation to locks of love. Her hair is shorter now but it doesn’t stop her from rocking feather and braids!
Emily B says:
Also I signed up for updates! What awesome clothes they have!
Karen says:
All signed up! Do they make a Seafarer Rumba dress in Women’s?
Jen F says:
My son wants to do everything his sister does which includes wearing dressed and carrying a purse. We try to encourage other clothing items and a “Cars” bag, but some days it is not worth the argument. He will most likely hate us for the photo collection we have.
Jodi says:
My almost 2-year-old “bonus daughter” (which I call her because I think it sounds more pleasant than “stepdaughter”…and she really has been such a bonus and a blessing in my life) has really been into HATS! Of all things! I love it though because she has naturally curly hair and some mornings when we are in a hurry to get out the door, simply running a comb through her hair isn’t even an option because it ends up looking worse than when she woke up. I especially enjoy it because, although I have two sons of my own, they never really wore hats.
Now if I can just teach her that sunglasses are not only a fashion accessory but also functional and not just a toy…
