Things didn’t get any cooler here today, but thankfully Annie was a trooper and put up with the heat once again. That may have had a little to do with Gramma and Bampa filling up her kiddie pool again, but whatever the reason, Annie was officially a good kid today.
To thank her we had ice cream for dessert, and Annie LOVED it. But her ice cream eating skills? They have a long way to go.
Ever watch a little kid eat an ice cream cone? It is freaking adorable, but it also takes a long, long time. Want all the cute without the time commitment? Check out this super-speed video of Annie to see her finish off an entire ice cream cone in only sixty seconds!
She takes after Mike in how she eats.
Elle says:
I love how towards the end she sticks her finger into the cone. My daughter does that with food. It’s always the one index finger and she’ll keep on poking whathever she’s eating, like she’s not allowed to use any other fingers.
katrina @ They All Call Me Mom says:
So sweet!
and I don’t just mean the ice cream
Pgoodness says:
What a great video!!! She’s so cute!
Kris says:
I loved the finger painting and the attempts to stand the cone up in the cup holder and then on the tray.
Thanks for the smiles.
Tammy says:
LOL…great video to start my Friday with!!
She’s perfect!!
Sue says:
Soooooo cute!
Shan says:
That is too cute. I think my favorite was how she painted a lil bit on the tray at the begining!
Angela says:
hahahah that is some funny shiz!
Tammy says:
Priceless!
Jessica says:
OMG that is too cute!! What a perfect way to start out a dreary Friday!!
Jamie says:
I actually laughed out loud watching it. When the ice cream fell out and she rather nonchalantly picks it up and stuffs it back in the cone? LOL! Funny stuff.
Bobbii says:
That is my favorite part too! I also like the way she spins the cone around a few times on the table every few minutes/seconds?
B in Oz says:
That sucker was just not going to stand in that cup holder…
She’s too cute
Skye says:
Thanks for starting my day off on a happy note!
Casey says:
That is the funniest video EVER… I love that she tries to put the cone in her little cupholder…and it’s so cute when she starts poking the cone at the end. Too funny – thanks for sharing this!!
Monica says:
hAHAHA! Love when she grabs the ice cream and puts it back in the cone. She is a hoot!
charlsie says:
Oh my I am in tears that was so funny.
edenland says:
That made me sob. For beautiful and sad reasons.

Nolita says:
That is so great…I like how you condensed it down. Annie is so adorable!
susanmig says:
i think i’m pretty much in agreement with other posters: literally laughed out loud watching this one!! parts that got to me: her expressions (!), finger painting (classic. brought back SO many memories), putting the ice cream BACK into the cone (killer cute!).
thanks for the friday hilarity. that kid is a hoot!
peace out!
Only in Louisiana ~ documenting the adventures of life! says:
That is precious ~ love her face when the last bit of ice cream falls out of the cone.
Colleen says:
Add music and YouTube that, it will go viral. So dang cute, thank God you gave her vanilla……
chelsea says:
best. video. ever! I loved all the squeaks in the background–was that the voices being sped up? It added some extra hilarity, especially when a particularly loud squeak matched up with an Annie frown
nona says:
(I think the squeaking might be fingers moving on the strings of a guitar. But I wonder if it was Mike playing?)
Kelly says:
Oh, she is so cute. My Mea still takes half of forever to eat an ice cream cone, at 5! Speeding up the video was brilliant!
Lora says:
That is supremely cute…I love the absolute focus in the beginning, followed by the increasing experimentation. And I love her hair SO much- I have two practically bald children, so all that glorious brown hair…jealous!
kris says:
Thank you for sharing!!!! That video is so darn stinking cute. I loved when the ice cream fell out and she picks it up and puts its back just for it to fall out again. I also love her hairbows! She is beautiful!
Leslie says:
Love it! Now I want ice cream
Carrie says:
I loved that…really cute, great idea!!!!!
amourningmom says:
Adorable! Thank you for sharing. Take care.
Snarky Mommy says:
I love that when it fell out, she just put it back in and tried to act like it didn’t matter. My almost-2-year-old would have been a hysterical weeping mess if it fell out.
Glenda says:
freaking adorable… love how the scoop falls out and she puts it right back in…and then pokes her little finger through the cone to get a bit on her finger and licks her finger… thanks for making me smile and sharing annie with us.
have a great weekend!
LuAnn says:
EASILY my favorite video! She is a hoot! My daughter is the same age and for some reason, they love to put things in the cup holder! Thanks for sharing! Hope it cools down soon…..
Zoë says:
Fantastic!
nona says:
Great idea! I love it! And, it goes without saying that Annie is adorable, but if everyone did stop saying it, you might get worried.
I wonder if the 2-yr.-old girl for whom I nanny could handle an ice cream cone. When she eats a popsicle, she screams if one drop gets on her! Annie handled the melting like a pro!
Mama Kat says:
That was awesome!
Sherry says:
HAHAHAHA!! That was great!!!! It’s ice cream, it’s a pencil, it’s watercolors, it’s a cup, it’s a ball, it’s ice cream again!
So funny, thanks for posting this. It made my day!
Maren says:
Aww that made me smile so much! I think (almost) all kid videos should be shown in fast forward. I have so many of Jack that are mostly just waiting for him to do that one cute thing, but in fast forward, would be fuuuuuuny.
Heli says:
I always wondered how kids got so messy during a meal. And usually I’m too engrossed by slamming my meal to see the art. It really is a work of art. And Annie captures it so nicely
Rebecca says:
I’m not too sure what was the best part, the fact it was in speed vision of a kid eating ice cream or the fact that I didn’t have to clean up the mess. Either way, I love it!!
Kristin says:
That was super cute! My 4th old got a kick out of it too. Love that she tried to put the ice cream scoop back in the cone.
Kayla says:
Cute!! And I now officially think little kids are the messiest creatures on the planet Earth, lol. (;
Heather says:
That. was. too much:)
Mary Ann says:
That was the cutest video ever. Now I want ice cream…actually I always want ice cream but now I can blame in on your video – thanks!
Cindy S. says:
Seriously adorable!!! I love the finger painting w/ the ice cream.
AmazingGreis says:
She kills me! Love this!
C Ramirez says:
Thank you – I had some a long day at work and needed a laugh – loved when she shoved her scoop back into the cone!!!
Abigail @ Skywaitress says:
This made me giggle so hard. Oh the patience you had to have sitting through that in real time.
Alexa @ A Life in Drive says:
There’s a photo of me somewhere as a toddler where my parents gave my black raspberry ice cream and I was covered in it! I kind of picture when Veronica turns blue in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Ha!
Aimee Hensley says:
That is one of the best videos I have ever seen! SO much fun, loved the end with the finger in the cone. Loved it!
Josee says:
I’m usually a lurker, but love your website. My dd is a month younger then Annie and it has been great to see their similarities. But I have to say… HOW is it possible that she doesn’t get ANY ice cream on her shirt???
Bampa says:
That ever changing white design on the upper part of her top…..that’s ice cream.
Josee says:
upon a second look, I stand corrected… I guess her ubber cuteness distracted me from the ever changing white design. ooops
Al_Pal says:
SO cute!
Alexandra :) says:
That was too cute! Love Annabel!!!
Jessica says:
She is too darn cute! I love how you just let her go wild with her ice? cream
