The Editor in Chief of the app/website I’m the LA editor of was in town at the beginning of the week, so the two of us spent three days checking out a dozen family-friendly places in and around Los Angeles. It was very successful from a work standpoint, but I definitely felt a little guilty seeing so many fun places I knew my kids would enjoy.

To make up for that, yesterday I brought them along on another site visit, this time to a new space that opened up this week. This place is a kid’s dream: Mini golf, rock walls, rope course, laser tag, laser maze, bumper cars, and a “soft zone.” The soft zone was perfect for Annabel and James. It had a two-story climbing structure, slides, spinning “tea cups,” a race track for bikes, and an enormous ball pit. Annabel wanted to go down the big, twisting tube slide, but was a little nervous. I promised her it was safe, and after we went down the slide together once she was hooked. She took this video with my phone so she could, in her words, “Show my daddy how brave I was.”

She went down the slide at least a dozen times, and James even went down a few times as well!
