Annie was super-hyped on the bike she got for her birthday six months ago until, like a typical kid, she lost interest in it one day. The bike and bumble bee helmet sat there, forlorn, for months. The good news is that, like a typical kid, Annie is suddenly super-hyped on it again. The first day she re-discovered her bike she climbed on it, put her feet on the pedals…and actually propelled the bike forward. Pedaling had finally clicked for her, which means the days of us pushing her on that bike are OVER. DO YOU HEAR ME THEY ARE OVER I WILL NEVER EAT THESE WORDS EVER.
Anyway, she’s also crazy, crazy fast on this bike. And not really great at the whole “steering” thing.
What’s the minimum age for participating in the X Games?
Kati says:
She’s really cute with the helmet – put some racingstripes on it and then IT IS ON!
It looks like she’s almost too tall for the bike already – how about a “normal” bike with supportive wheels? Maybe the steering thing works better when there is more space between her body and the handlebars?
Krissa says:
Awesome! Go, Annie!!! … The music is great especially when she’s putting the helmet on! How funny! Too cute, but totally intimidating.
Kayla says:
A real girl wears her flower sandals and bikes like a boss! You go Miss Annie!
Caroline says:
Love it!! Especially the ” get my bike up!!!!”. She is so adorable!
Lynn from For Love or Funny says:
WOW, Annie’s hair has gotten so long!
Shannon says:
So cute…and I kinda love the helmet too!
Lisa A says:
Does that bumble bee helmet come in adult sizes?
Bella says:
Ready for a scooter bike!
You can draw some chalk lines to practice steering.
Annalisa says:
Adorable, but I agree that maybe she’s already too big for her trike. We have the same problem with our munchkin. She’s not even 2 and people think she’s 3 because she’s tall.
She was boss at steering her rider toys, but lately she can’t quite make it work because her legs have gotten too long for them. I’ll think we’ll skip an actual tricycle and go straight to a training bike.
As for your question, we have a skate park near our home. No kids under 10 allowed without parental supervision (which doesn’t quite stop my daughter from trying to run in there while the skateboarders do their thing). So there you go.
Glenda says:
Thanks for putting a smile on my face this Friday morning.
Love, love her helmet and the 2 curly pony tails… reminds me of my daughters hair
Have a good weekend!
Melli says:
Cute! When Annie outgrows that helmet, I saw hemets that have blingy crowns attached. Very cute. Annie might like them.
