I love having daughters. I’m a girl so I know how they think, I have all the same parts, I feel somewhat qualified to raise one. But, I was a bit of a tomboy growing up. Annabel? Well, she’s all girl.
Annabel wants you all to know that singing as a baby is hard, and she would prefer you all to ignore how pitchy she got at the end of her song. She was tired.
Kate @ UpsideBackwards says:
Wow, she can sing! That’s great, and so clever. I think my favourite outfit is the one with the shower cap
J in eire says:
Oh wow !!! Beautiful bonnie baby, her expressions are so like Maddies, that wide open hearted smile, she has lots to smile about with such loving, devoted, FUN parents. All these videos and your blog will mean the world to Annie when she is older.
Elle says:
Bravo Annie!! You are so expressive and adorable, “giant Spohr head” and all. I’m so envious of your shoe collection. Call me if you ever need someone to take those off of your hands. I will somehow get my feet into them.
Haley says:
What a fabulous voice she has! She is just so so darling!
Becca_Masters says:
this was absolutley adorable and I loved it. Just the thing to make me smile and cheer me right up!
I also can believe she has so many shoes!! girl is on the right track!
Lynn from For Love or Funny says:

Audra says:
This must have been so much fun to make.
Veronika says:

Sarah says:
Heather,
Your blog has totally brightened my morning–I have 3 daughters and always thought people were crazy when I was pregnant and they asked “are you trying for a boy this time?” Um, no, actually, I am trying for another GIRL! (Not that there’s anything wrong with boys, my husband is a boy and he’s ok, but I grew up the only girl with 4 brothers!) Now my oldest is 16…and although there are the Trying Teenage Moments, overall it is lovely, wonderful, and so so so much fun.
Thank you for sharing these moments in Annabel’s life–I really miss those days and it is awesome to relive them a bit through your beautiful daughters.
Sarah says:
You know that movie “When Harry Met Sally”–the scene where Bruno Kirby and Carrie Fisher hit it off on the double date? And Carrie Fisher’s character quotes something she read somewhere and Bruno Kirby’s character says “I wrote that!” And he was amazed that someone actually quoted him TO him? In bed last night I was thinking…hmmm…I think I quoted Heather Spore to Heather Spore (without attributing it to you of course which is of course called STEALING) but something about the line “my husband is a boy…blah blah” makes me think–did I read that here somewhere??? When I started reading your blog I read A LOT at once. So not sure–but if it is your writing and I (truly truly did not mean to!) used it as my own I am sorry!
Am I scaring you yet? I would scare me if I were you…
Catherine says:
Oh I love the shoe collection! And, those baby chub cheeks are adorable…great video Friday.
Be well.
Lisa says:
Heather, that was adorable–absolutely loved it! You have a great voice! Annie is so darn cute–love those cheeks. Thanks for a great wakeup on Friday.
amanda says:
Every time I see a video of Annie, I think it’s the best one, and then you top it with something like this! Go Annie – you rock, and you have a great voice! My daughter (3) absolutely loved this video and basically hogged the computer so I could barely see it myself. : )

I went to your site first thing this morning (7:00 a.m.) b/c last night, Maddie was in my dream and so was Annie. Both we so cute!!! Watching the video made me reminded of Maddie again since Annie has so many expressions!!!
Thanks for the video!! It was so cute! My favourite part was at the end and Annie squell with such delight. What a lucky little girl to have such creative parents!!!!
Elaine says:
Gorgeous voice, Heather! And I love that scene with her Daddy — you can just see the love and adoration on both faces.
Mary Ann says:
I totally get that being a girl thing. I have five neices and love shopping for outfits for them, girls do have the best clothes. Plus if it’s super cute I HAVE TO buy it, just for the photo op. I love that song and I am amazed at Annabels range singing it. My favorite parts are the shower cap scene and dancing with Daddy. It brought a little tear to my eye, remembering my Dad doing that with me a million years ago, very sweet. You can tell she’s a Daddy’s girl by that smile on her face. I know I am going to be belting that song driving to work this morning…better roll your windows up people.
Jen L. says:
WOW! That was epic. I will eat her up, she’s so cute! She’s looking a lot like her pretty big sister these days.
I’m so glad you post videos every Friday. Not only do my son and I love watching them, it’s often the only way I know what dayof the week it is.
Chantelle @ photo mommy says:
Cute! You’re videos are always great!
Nellie says:

Deborah says:
HAHAHAH! I love her in the shower cap! And the robe! And when she bounces up and down! And when Rigby was shown! What a funny, clever little video; I can’t imagine how much time it must have taken to put together. All of the loving shots of shoes and clothes reminded me of the Marie Antoinette movie.
LOVE IT.
(((hugs)))

Meg...CT says:
How many takes did that take you guys…you must have been CRACKING up!!!
It was adorable. That Annie is a gem.
mp says:
You have a great singing voice, bravo!
I love having both a boy and girl–you get to see and appreciate the differences and realize there are more similarities than you would have imagined! Before kids, I wanted a daughter simply because I had only sisters and that was what I knew, but now that I have an amazing wonderful son, I realize how much I would have missed out on had he not been born to me. Thank goodness I wasn’t the one to choose! I also know now I would have LOVED growing up with a brother.
I think whatever you end up with, that’s the best!
DefendUSA says:
Well, Annie’s mommy has a great set of pipes and it appears she can write songs!! That was fabulous!

Brianne says:
Does this count as fulfilling your goal of being a parody song writer, a la Michael Scott?
Becca says:
Very cute. I really enjoy Annie’s videos! This one is definitely one of my favorites, because I am a huge fan of musicals and this song is by Rodgers and Hammerstein, some of the best composers ever. Thanks!
Susan says:
Ah….and now I am happy! I so look forward to reading your posts and especially to Annie’s videos. She definitely is a “girly-girl” and there is NOTHING wrong with that! My 21 year-old daughter will attest to that. Oh, and she has a MAH-VELOUS voice!!! Have a great weekend! You made mine awesome!

Kati says:
Oh my god, so absolute adorable and amazing!
I think my favourite scene is where Mike and Anabel are spinning around and she is snuggeling herself closer to him everytime he spins around… that cute laughing face… so lovable!
Kristi says:
Another great video! I loved all the costume changes and the bathrobe in front of the mirror. I liked the little touch where you added some about flowers from her Bammpa. Hands down my favorite parts were the scenes with Mike and Annie together. The love they share for each other is so obvious. Every girl needs a dad like that. I was so touched by the way he was twirling her around and the look on his face. Precious! I can only imagine how much Annie will treasure this when she is older.
Carrie says:
OMG.. I am cracking up! VERY Cute!
Mer says:
First of all, she is so very cute, and seems to be a genuinely happy baby. Second of all, I definitely see her sister in her face. Not that they look so alike, but some of the expressions, the smiles especially, just immediately reminded me of Maddie. Beautiful girls!
Leslie says:
Austin just watched this with me and was saying, “Annie…Annie…Annie” the entire video. She’s already got groupies screaming her name

Ray says:
It surprised me in the beginning of the video and in the ending (when Annie’s wearing blue jeans, with the white shirt with pink floral): to see so much of Maddie in Annie. A lot of her facial expressions mimic her big her sister so greatly. It is both amazing and a blessing. It just caught me by surprise and it really was an awesome thing to see.
I think you have a FASHIONISTA on your hands!!! Hehe. Awesome video as always. And I love that song! =D You did a great job singing it. Thanks for the video.
