We’ve spent the last week in packing overdrive. I hate packing, but what I hate even more is throwing stuff away. I am a total hoarder. Not in a “there might be a cat under this pile of garbage” kind of way, but in a “I can’t throw this receipt/letter/scrap of paper away because what if I neeeeeeeeed it” kind of way. And even when I find a receipt for a pair of jeans I bought three years ago, I still hesitate to throw it away because what if the zipper breaks and I need to return them? I have issues, I know. Luckily for all of us, Mike is good at purging. So that’s his job.

The moving van is coming on Monday. This weekend is NOT going to be fun.

While Mike and I slave over boxes, Annie and Rigby have been hanging out at the new house (with supervision, of course). Rigby is TOTALLY freaked out by the move. She has no idea what’s going on and is a clingy, shaking basket case. Annie, on the other hand, is having NO problems with the new place. She loves nothing more than to run through the house squealing. Unfortunately, she’s also discovered the areas where the floor is slippery, and she’s misjudged a few turns. Annie won’t let a few tumbles keep her from exploring her new house.

Annie does have a favorite feature in the house – the mirrored closet doors. If only I’d known what a great time she’d have looking at her reflection, I’d have installed mirrored closet doors all over our apartment.
