For Annie’s second birthday she wanted Yo Gabba Gabba, balloons, friends, and cake. Of course the first three things would’ve been meaningless without cake because the girl is cake crazy. Ever since Mike’s birthday six weeks ago she has been asking, “Birthday cake? Birthday cake today, mama?” It was a happy feeling to be able to say to her, “Yes, Annie! Birthday cake today!”
Cake for everyone!

Have a great weekend!
Dee says:
Looks like she’s a Lefty for the moment! From a fellow south-paw, go Annie!
Missy says:
I agree! I was so hoping my little girl was going to be a leftie too, but at almost 4 years old, I don’t think there’s a chance she’s going to change now.
I’ve finally gotten used to putting her fork on the “wrong” side of the plate, but helping her write is nearly impossible!
alisha says:
the special effects on this should win an award. awesome.
Jenny says:
She is a dainty eater! The tiny bites are hilarious!

She holds her pen and fork really well! Better than I do, I think.

I loved that you all dressed up! Also, considering that your blog and Matt Logelin’s are the only two I read consistently, I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw them at the party! Looks like Annie had a really wonderful, special day. Great job!
Susan C. says:
Ditto – Always look forward to posts from the Spohrs and Matt!
Mary Ann says:
The girl likes her cake – I love the special effects. Sad but true that’s how I eat cake with no special effects. She looks like she enjoyed her big day you did a great job!

How cute is she??? My youngest, just before her 2nd birthday, would reply to anyone who asked her what she wanted for her birthday – “Happy Cake!” – her words for birthday cake. Happy Cake, indeed!
Pattie says:
Again, this looks like it was such a fun party. Miss Annie definitely likes her cake. As it is, my 16-m.o. learned the words “cake” and “more” at a friend’s birthday party the other day. Little girls and cake.
Julie Wilmes says:
Matt & Maddy! Ollie! It’s like a huge guest cameo show!
And Annie looked so happy (especially with the cake.)
After all who doesn’t love cake?
