When you’re up late at night, delirious because your child WILL. NOT. SLEEP. you start getting a little desperate. So you do things hoping that they will make your baby tired, like put her on her stomach for tummy time, or making her sit in a chair or practice her standing. And then when she still doesn’t fall asleep, things get…ridiculous.

Ok…well, I had a pretty crappy day. So I just watched a video of one of my nieces, one of my nephews and this one to make me feel better. It worked.
I still want to kick a few people’s butts, but at least I’m smiling now!

I’m sure my laughing here in Luxembourg can be heard by you guys in LA!! Annie Spohr is a star and so worth staying up for. Oh Mama…I remember these nights waaay too well! It’s the WORST part of having kids. If not for the sleepless nights, I’s hae ten!!!! I am NO GOOD with out sleep! Just last night, Abbie peed in her crib and I had to strip her bed at 4 am, she would NOT go back to sleep! Needless to say, I have been up since 4 am!!!! Bleh! Hang in there!

That was too funny. I remember those late night up all night times with my first. My youngest however has been a great sleeper. That is when she is in her own bed.
Too funny! You know i wish I could say it gets better, but I have a video taken last month of my 2 yr old running around the kitchen at 3 am hyper as all hell refusing to sleep. We finally took out of his crib after an hour of listening to him talk and giggle. So, we let him run around to tire him out. Guess Annie’s still a bit young for that!!

Hilarious! I don’t know how you do it without cracking yourselves up! I would never have made it through that! I bet you’re tired of getting all kinds of unsolicited advice…but I’m gonna shoot some atcha anyway!;) Do you have a baby swing? That was the ONLY thing that worked for my son when he was little and I was desparate for sleep! I put it next to my bed, turned off the lights and put the lullaby music/swing motion on low and he would drift off to sleep in no time…so would I!!:) Of course, we went through alot of batteries, but it was worth it when I got much needed sleep!:) OK, my apologies if I just really irritated you by sharing that! I am wondering if you can make any corralation to your Blood sugar levels being elevated and Annie being wide awake, or did she just sleep enough during the day. Sleep is so important it is when they grow the most, like overnight, for real!! At least she is proud of every ounce of her and bet you are too!! When she weighs 11lbs 11oz just 1/2oz to go the angels will sing for sure!!
