Halloween is only ten days away, so I’ve been talking to Annie about potential costume ideas. It should surprise no one that my little fashionista has VERY strong ideas about what she does…or does not…want to be for Halloween.

2 questions…..
#1 – Just how many costumes DO you own? WOW!!! I have 3 kids plus we do foster care and we don’t even have that many costumes! ha ha They were great…all of them!!!
#2 – No offense but what the hell was Mike doing with his face at the end of the video? Is that his scary face?!?!? Ha ha ha

Annie watched Mike as Heather applied the makeup or it would have never worked. She did give him the hard stare a couple of times but whenever he shook his face Annie couldn’t control her laughter.

This was so freakin adorable!! I can feel it…one day Annie is gonna be a star, you can see it written all over her face! My Boys are 23 and 17 so those cute days are over, but funny thing is they actually wanyed to all carve pumpkins together but wanted nothing to do with it when they were little…. you guys are so talented and funny, did you actually write that song??? She obviously hated the dalmatian costume so I’d scratch that one and go for either Dorothy which she seemed to love or the little purple skirt with the skeleton shirt. Adorable! But you don’t want her crying.

It’s so precious that Annie mouths the words and dances along now. The costumes are all great. My daughter wore her Halloween costumes year round, every day was dress up day around here for years. She had a giant box of dress up clothes and costume jewelry. You guys have fun dressing up with that cutie!

That was the cutest video ever. I love watching your movies. I asked you before, but I forgot, are you just using windows live movie maker? How do you do the voice overs then? I’m looking to create awesome videos of my kids, just like you, but not sure what software to get. I’m not looking for anything complicated.

We use iMovie (since we have Macs) and it has all the bells and whistles to do voice overs, title cards, transitions, etc. I think you can do all that stuff too with Windows Live Movie Maker (although I am not familiar with it). Sometimes it just takes some getting used to using these programs which can be kind of complicated. I just found this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCCMs5rDeN4 for a YouTube video on how to do voice over with windows live movie maker. There likely are other vids there to help you understand how it works. Good luck!

For whatever reason Annie was NOT a fan of that costume! And then we took her outside to film and it only made things worse (as you saw). We quickly went inside and took the dog costume off and she was our happy kid again!
