The time has come for James to start eating solid foods. We picked up some rice cereal, but when Annabel heard about our plan she insisted on handling it all herself.
So…welcome to the second installment of Cooking With Annie: Baby Food Edition!
If you can’t see the video above, click here.
James reacts better to Annie’s “cooking” than anyone in this family has to mine.
Vicky says:
Love it! They are both so cute!
Jenn says:
Seriously Heather….I LOVE that baby’s smiles!!! They are so full of JOY & LIGHT!!! He truly is a Treasure as is Miss Annie with all her reporting!! You are beyond BLESSED and so are WE! thanks to you and Mike for sharing your beautiful family with us All!!! xo
Sue says:
Annie must have put a pinch of extra love in that cereal, because James looks like he really likes it,,,,very little coming back out of his mouth!
shannon says:
What an infectious smile that little James has.
Stacy says:
James is so stinking cute and I love how Annie has nothing to say about her cooking after she “tried” it… sounds about right for baby food!
Tracy says:
Consistency! OMG! So adorable!
Karen says:
Annie’s reaction to rice cereal is priceless! She is thinking, “Whoa…not good. Not good at all!”
Too funny.
You measured out the perfect amount of cereal to milk, too! Very impressive. I always had to make adjustments!
Johanna says:
So adorable! I love when she says consistency and then Peace Out at the end.
Marie says:
Yup, we always started with rice cereal also. It’s the least likely to cause an allergic reaction, or so said my doctor. It always smelled funny to me lol. And obviously to Annie also. I never did try much other cereal, once they got to liking this, I started baby food or mashed bananas. Little Jamsie looked like he enjoyed his first meal.
Hugs from Minnesota,
Marie
Annalisa says:
We did oat cereal a month in, because my kid got bored of rice after the novelty wore out, and our pediatrician insisted on either iron fortified cereal once a day, or giving her a liquid iron supplement, and giving her things she is not willing to ingest never ends well… (I just lately finally got her not to gag on her toddler vitamins, somehow… Before that I had to mash them and ‘hide’ them in yogurt).
It’s slightly tastier than rice cereal, and just as hypoallergenic.
victoria says:
