Annie has been agitating to see the Easter Bunny for weeks. Mike and I were pretty hesitant since not only has taking her to see the Easter Bunny never gone well (except when she was too little to escape), but as you may remember, Santa was mostly a big fail. But she wore us down with her repeated, “Can I see the Easter Bunny today? Can I? Can I? Can I?” so we finally relented.
I don’t understand how she finds the Easter Bunny less-frightening than Santa Claus.
Anne says:
Cute!! My 5 year old is cool with Santa, but the Easter Bunny still freaks her out a little…Me too, actually!
Karen says:
Maybe she’s just not down with how judgmental Santa is! The Bunny just brings the chocolate, no questions asked. Also, that was back at Christmas time! Annie’s stage of development is at such an explosively marvelous point that perhaps she really just has moved past that fear in the last few months.
Also as an aside, I love how much your parents are involved! It’s beautiful to see the love that surrounds your girls from all sides.
Karen says:
Oops, and your boy! Poor Acrobat, in my head he was a girl for a minute. I blame my cousin, who I am very close to, for having three girls.
Marie says:
The Easter Bunny would freak me out a little bit, but good for her. It’s funny how kids are. And no pictures on the set! LOL That’s because they want you to pay for the pics that they take. Same with Santa here. Your dad and mom are just so much in love with Annie it’s ridiculous in a good way.
But mostly I just wanted to say I love how your baby boy is showing so much and he’s still in there. It’s lovely to see after all the things you have been through.
Hugs from really, really snowy Minnesota
Marie
Casey P says:
You, Annie, and the bunny are all super cute. But what I took away from the video the most is YOU ARE ALL IN DRESSES. AND SHORT SLEEVES. OMG, so jealous of your weather!
Lauren says:
I rarely post, but I wanted to say I started watching this to see how cute Annie is with the Easter Bunny. But I have to tell you, all I did was stare at you Heather. Your baby belly outshines everything. You look so happy!
Donna P says:
She is so adorable!!
Annalisa says:
The Easter Bunny totally freaks me out, probably because I didn’t have one growing up. Kudos to Annie for being comfortable with it. I also think she’s just moved past fearing mythological characters, so hopefully you’ll get a smiling Annie and Acrobat Santa picture in December.
Heidi says:
First of all that was darling, but what struck me most (after the whole “no cameras” thing which always annoys the heck out of me) is how much your parents remind me of mine. My parents also to come to all these things and even this year (my children are 8 and 10) my mom simply had to come and watch them get their pictures taken with Santa. What a gift for everyone, the grandchildren, the parents and the grandparents, when these little and big moments are shared and enjoyed so much. I feel like I get to enjoy the experience even more because I love watching my parents and my children interact. What a huge blessing.
Marisol says:
You look so cute with your belly!!
Carrie says:
My kids’ reaction- “Annie didn’t cry!” They’re very proud of her.
Mommy says:
Sooo much cuteness- your belly!!! Annie’s dress! The hopping!!! Her chubby little hand pointing at the Easter Bunny’s tie! Your parents!!! OMG.
Thank you for sharing your very special family with all of us!!!
xoxo
ps. SO LAME about the no pictures/video rule. I get it, they have to make money, but if you are buying the ridiculously overpriced holiday pics, they should let you film! Santa would have been cool with it.
Auntie_M says:
That was one of the LEAST creepy Easter bunnies in Sphohr history!!! Where did you find this relatively normal (though huge) rabbit?
I love how Annie always skips ahead, with great excitement, dressed to the nines!
And this was an absolute success!!!!
PS–I am lovin’ your bigger & bigger baby bump!!!!!
Amanda says:
I am fairly certain my twin and I were TERRIFIED of the Easter Bunny. That one doesn’t look too much like a creeper, but still. It’s a giant bunny. Not sure I would go near it now! Very brave of Annie.
sara says:
no pictures on ‘the set’…
Seriously?
You probably spent $87 on a 5×7…and you can’t use your cell phone?
That drives me nuts.
Asmae says:
She’s absolutely geogorus. Love how you set up the shot and that you used the same props at one week as you used at 5 months. Look how she’s grown! There’s nothing better than having the joy to create experiences you create for others for your own family and friends. Lovely pics in all.
