Annabel has what seems like limitless energy. I’m pretty sure if it was possible she would literally bounce off our walls. She’s also been using this energy to run and talk. Sometimes she says words, sometimes she babbles, but no matter what she is making noise.
To help wear her out and save our eardrums, we take her to the park as often as possible. Here is a snippet of her time there!
If you can’t see the video above, click here.
Her squeals of joy and screams at the ducks crack me up!
Lisa says:
That is adorable I love her reaction to the birds flying by!
We have a boundless energy kiddo. She is 3 and still talking our ear off and full of endless, seriously endless, energy. We use the park a lot to burn off some of that energy. Parks rule!
Jenn says:
Ity was soooooo cool to hear her voice!! She has such a low voice!!
I bet you loved when she ran to you and said “up”!! I must say your little one cracks me up!!! I bet she’s gonna love watching herself!! Thanks again for sharing….hearing Annie talk fist thing in the morning??……

Adorable and hilarious! “Duckie! Duckie! Duckie!” and the drunken stagger are my favorites! I love the voice-over movies you guys do, but I love this one even more – so nice to hear her actual voice and see her personality!

I feel like I say this every single time but this was the best Annie video ever! She’s adorable and your video’s are always fun to watch. While I do love your ‘scripted’ video’s, it is nice to hear you and Annie interacting. Thanks for the entertainment. You guys are the best and Congratulations again on the new house. Courtney says:
OMG I love it! Annie and my 14-month-old son would have such fun at the park together – and maybe she could teach him to say “duckie”.
Jules says:
Is there an announcement forthcoming? A new baby on his or her way?!?
Madi G. says:
Aw, she talks! How cute!
I was shocked to hear how deep her voice is! (She’s been hanging out with Rigby too much! LOL!! Rigby is, after all, a girl with a deep voice that sounds suspiciously male!)
I imagined her as having Maddie’s high-pitched voice. I actually love little girls with deep voices…too cute!
I also see she still has that drunken sailor walk (especially at the end!) Made me giggle.
Madi
Trisha Vargas says:
She is too cute Heather! Even though she got scared from the birds, her grabbing onto you and saying “UP!” was priceless.
The part in the video towards the end where she is walking and leans a little to far to the right and then catches herself and says”WHOA!” is too cute.
AmazingGreis says:
I miss that kid!!
cj says:
too cute!!
Kayla says:
OMG, I can’t believe how big and old she is Heather! I’ve been with you for years, but I think for me this is really the first time I’ve appreciated just how much of a true toddler Annie is really becoming!
When did baby Annabel go?? And who is this giant toddler in her place??
Amy says:
I absolutely love it. Annabel is a joy to watch. I can see the joy she gives you as well as the love you have for each other. She is getting so big so quick and I love her personality. She is a little Diva.
I cannot remember how I found your blog a little over a week ago but I was hooked immediately. I have actually gone back and read it all. I have cried and laughed and hurt along with you in your posts. No I am not a stalker but am a loving mother of a little boy who I love so much it hurts and your story of what you and Mike have gone through amazes me. I think it is any parents fear to out live your child. And I know that Maddie looks down and is smiling on the two of you for the love you have for her and now for Annie as well. And the work you have done in her name is amazing. She is proud of you as I am and I only know you through this blog.
Thank you for sharing your story and continuing to do so. I know I will be continuing to read and enjoying.
BTW my son Ethan was totally loving your videos and I know they are going to be ones he will ask for again and again.
Deeds says:
That was so cute!! Her walk at the end made me laugh! She looks like she’s had one too many! haah
Leigh Elliott says:
so cute! I loved her saying “UP” to you. My daughter still says it at almost 4 years old. She always says “Uppy” though, it’s always been “uppy” for us. Very funny.
Annie is so much fun to watch here – love her little outfit, it suits her perfectly. She is discovering SO much right now. Love how your park has SAND. We have woodchips. and they get into EVERYTHING. Shoes, hair, underwear.
Tami says:
So Adorable!!!!
Brittany says:
So cute! “Duckie quack quack” I swear is what she was saying as she immitated them! Don’t you wish you could have an ounce of the energy these little toddlers have? lol
AuntieMip says:
Oh how darling this little ne is. Such vintages and personality. What a fun time you must be having sighted.
I’m not sure if you recognize me. I comment occasionally. I wanted to sign n the other day when you posted about your recent little purchase. Congratulations on your “little slice”. I am a single girl is about four years ago was able to upgrade a a larger slice from my very tiny 1st time home buyer slice. Home ownership is a HUGE accomplishment. I am so happy for you.
I also wanted to recognize that in the midst of all the joy of moving, choosing new furniture, decorating, putting a stamp that screams Spohr on hour new home, there is also the heartache of leaving where Maddie physically was. I cannot imagine how hard this might be for you. I cannot imagine how painful the packing will be and moving those last tangible pieces of Maddie to a place she never was. I have always been so fascinated at the seamless way joy and sorrow can so easily coexist. I marvel at the elasticity of the heart to feel such extremes of passion all at the same time.
It is a brave and selfless thing to do, to step aside from your own pain to do what is remarkable for Annie. Your Maddie is so very proud of you. She goes wherever you go. You carry her with you. I hope saying that doesn’t constitute one of those silly, thoughtless platitudes people offer when they know nothing better to say. I genuinely mean it. You both have honored Maddie in all the best possible ways. Congratulations on this wonderful, life changing event. I hope and pray your new digs provide thousands of beautiful memories and a lifetime of happiness!
