I know a lot of people and their kids enjoy watching Annabel’s movies, but in our house, we watch Madeline’s movies. When her sister comes on the screen, Annie lights up like it’s Christmas morning. So, for today’s movie, Annie wanted to introduce you to one of her favorites.

Seeing Annie smile at her sister…it’s beyond words.
pamela @vampiresmitten says:
That is just so beautiful.
Elle says:
I’ve seen this video of Maddie so many times and it is so precious. I got my daughter that little tykes guitar for her first birthday back in April and she loves it, especially the whammy bar.
Lea says:
This is adorable! It made me cry, I remember watching that video and thought it was so funny. My favorite Maddie video is the one where she is learning how to crawl and she gets distracted by a toy animal. I think it was a duck. So cute and funny! Thanks for sharing!
Kate @ UpsideBackwards says:
I just love that video. My own Babess is very musical too, and will also sing along. I’m sure that, growing up in such a talented family, Annie will also be a great performer!
Katrina says:
So precious. That video of Maddie has always been a favorite of mine. I love how you and Mike “played” with her so much. It’s great that you got so much of that play time on video!
(off topic — ever since your blog has had it’s recent changes, my commentLUV doesn’t show my last post anymore. Any idea why that happened?)
Thurieyyah says:
I can always count on these two beautifull & talented sisters to make me smile!
Poppy says:
Ditto! And kudos to their parents for making such precious videos
k says:
Wow those beautiful daughters of yours never cease to amaze! Heather thank you so much. I just love to see Maddie singing. I have been thinking about you since reading your last post. To be without that glorious girl, to pass that building on 15th, the tsunamis of emotion and grief must at times seem endless. Annabel’s joy in seeing her big sister making music(and Annie just being Annie too) must help you and Mike keep your heads above water. Keep swimming. Sending you love and gratitude.
Jenny says:
Good choice, Annie! This is one of my favorites, too.
By the way, I love the new website format. The font reminds me of “Bewitched” (nose wrinkle & head nod, can’t resist!).
debi says:
This is one of my favorites too. It really just breaks my heart. What a beautiful family you are.
Inna says:
Can’t agree more! :’-)
Jen says:
it brought tears to my eyes! She was just so beautiful! I love that Annie smiles when she sees her as if they know each other! And you know i bet they do! In some spirtual way they do! Annie is the angel that was brought to you from maddie! Maybe that sounds weird but it’s true! She’s a sprit that will always be with you always!
Sarah says:
I like this. The video made me cry, though that was probably the opposite of what it was supposed to do. I haven’t sat down and figured out the timing- lol- but I think Annie was conceived after Maddie died, so maybe Maddie had a chance to talk to her before she came down to earth.
AmazingGreis says:
Such ROCK STARS, both of them!!
cj says:
i completely agree with AmazingGreis…..they are total ROCK STARS!!!
Nikki says:
What beautiful girls you have!!
XOXO from GA,
Nikki
karen says:
OOoh, I love this. And it’s clear Maddie had an appreciation for music from a very young age!…
I have never seen a seat like the one Annie is sitting in to play the piano, those are awesome! They weren’t around when my kids were young.

Annabel has great taste in movies! That was an adorable video of Maddie.
Lora says:
I’m pretty sure this is the first video I ever saw of Maddie over a year ago when I first found your blog. She is just so incredibly precious, so bright, so happy. I am glad Annabel will always have these memories of her sister to see, but it breaks my heart to think they will never get to make music together.
You have beautiful, beautiful girls.
Ninabi says:
What a sweet way to have your two beautiful girls together in the same video. Maddie enjoying music was one of my favorite videos and to see Annabel enjoying it so much was wonderful.
I love the videos you make.
Sherry says:
I bet Annie’s not the ONLY one who lights up like it’s Christmas morning when she sees those videos! It sure put a smile on my face too!

Mary Ann says:
Maddie always makes me smile, she is so adorable in that video especially when she sings Ohhhhhhhh… I recently found an old video my father made when he got his first video camera. He always whistled, at the time it was annoying, but when I put that video in and heard him whistling in the backround as he filmed I lost it. The video ended with him holding my new baby cousin in our kitchen he had set up the camera to record himself talking to her…unfortunately he chopped off his head in the video but you could see her perfectly…I had to laugh. I miss him so much, I wish I had more of those videos. I’m glad you have those Maddie movies. Hugs.
Camie says:
Seeing Annie at Maddie’s piano just gives me this funny feeling of pure rightness and joy (which sounds a little. . .a lot crazy, but it just makes me smile a lot). It’s so awesome that Annie has these videos to watch and love as much as we do!
Jenn says:
And videos of either of your girls makes my 6 month old son light up with a huge grin! I think he has a crush
Kim says:
Love your 2 girls!!! Both are so adorable and the videos make me smile every Friday.

Christen says:
Fridays are ALWAYS hard for me… I can’t watch the videos you post until I get home (stupid work!! Blocking video… what do they expect me to do around here? Work?!)
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I like the new layout. Very cute!!
Jenn says:
So bitter/sweet…..seeing them together! Annie has Maddie’s smile. I wish just so much she was here with your family in person. My heart aches for you….eyes weep for you and the feeling of utter despair every time I see a picture of Maddie or watch her in a video is overwhelming. She was a light who was gone too soon. I will be sad for you forever.
Thinking of you always.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Love,
Jenn so
Deborah says:

So cute! My littlest one is sitting on my lap asking for “Mo, Mo, MO. MAMA MO!!!’ Is it just me or do your two girls have the same nose? When the video switched to Maddie I couldn’t help but think, man, those girlies share a nose!
Freckle on the Nose of Life's Complexion says:
I wish hospitals gave out video camera as new parents left the hospital – everyone should have home videos like this. Ahh, this preservation of memory is so sacred.

I just love that video more and more each time I watch it! Madeline was such a doll and soooo talented! I love how she plays along in every gig you post her in! I can see Annabel has her talents already. Thank you for sharing your world with us. You bring a smile to my face on days when I am down! Thank you so so much!
P.S. The more I see of Annabel the more I love her name! It is such an eloquent name yet I don’t hear it often. You did a great job in choosing names for your baby girls.
Dee Dee says:
Quick question? Where is your “hmmm not sure what you call it…sign, ticker, advertisement????” that showed your progress toward reaching your goal of $10,000 for the March of Dimes? I looked at it every day when I visited your blog.
Heather says:
Oh, it’s down now – the fund-raising time is over. I got so close!!

Alexandra :) says:
That was lovely, Heather. i haven’t seen pictures of Madeline in a few weeks-well, of course I’ve seen the one with her in the yellow dress everywhere on your site, but I haven’t really LOOKED at them. I’d forgotten how beautiful she was. Her hair and her big bright eyes especially. It’s hard to believe that she’s not here anymore when I see her. It’s stupid. She’s so pretty and sweet natured. Why can’t she be in the new videos with Annabel, too? I hate it. I have tears in my eyes right now.
I love you + Mike + your girls + Rigby,
Alexandra
Amy says:
That is one of my favorites too! Good taste Annie!

Heather,
I know that you miss Maddie more than words can say every single day but I can tell that lately it’s been even harder for you. Big hugs to you. I wish I had the words or a magic wand to make it all better for you but I don’t. Just know that I care.
Kim

Dana says:
My children fell in love with the cute “Amazing Annabel.” They wanted to watch her videos all the time. So I went to youtube to all of your videos. And now, they watch Maddie videos, too. They talk about how cute Maddie is, and they laugh at her cuteness. To them, Maddie and Annie are about the best thing on the internet! They have their favorites of both of your girls. We are all so lucky that y’all share your precious Maddie and your precious Annie with us.
cindy w says:
I remember the first time Maddie’s video was posted. Still love it. And love Annabel”s intro too.
Catherine Lucas says:
My heart aches… Beautiful and sad at the same time. It’s so hard to understand that Maddie has gone. Life can be so cruel.
Neat to have the two babies tied in together in this movie. I think Annabel might be a good performer too! They both rock!
Audra says:
thanks for posting this! too cute!
Molly says:
Oh! They are both so cute. Annie has just the hugest smile watching Maddie and clearly Maddie had a real love for music. So nice to see them both!
Marianne says:
This is beyond precious! I’m so glad you have these wonderful videos of Maddie. My goodness :’-)
neeroc says:
Yesterday my I was surfing some blogs while my daughter was having breakfast. She looked over and saw Maddie’s picture on someone’s sidebar and asked me who the baby was, so I decided to tell her about Maddie and then come look at some pictures with her. While she loved the piano video (every time I ask if she wants swimming or gymnastics lessons she answers ‘piano’ so she might be a bit biased there) her FAVORITE is Maddie’s Noises. She asked me to play it over and over, and again today that’s the only one she wanted to see. *g* She loves Maddie’s eyes (as do I!)
Michelle Pixie says:
I would have to agree with Annie…That is one of my favorites too!
Dawn says:
That was soooooo precious!!!! I remember the first time my mother and I found a video of my brother after he passed away. It was amazing to see him and hear his voice. I am so happy you have the videos to watch. They are truly heaven sent!
