I seriously needed more pumpkins (I wasn’t kidding. It’s a sickness.), so I forced Mike and Annie to go to the pumpkin patch with me. We didn’t go back to the Farm; instead I took them to the patch I’d taken Maddie to four years ago. At first Mike was like, “wah, it’s hot,” and Annie was like, “wah, I’m a toddler,” but then Annie saw the animals, the bounce house, and the slide. She specifically saw me go down the slide four times. You know, to show her how fun it is.
I’m so proud of how into the pumpkins she was. She might look like Mike, but she’s allllll me on the inside.

Aw, she looked a little shocked when she got to the bottom of the slide! Like that last picture of Maddie in the pumpkin post
Hooray for little kids and pumpkins!

We loved doing that when the kids were young, except it was mostly for apples….pumplins were a small part. No air jumps though, they had massive hay bale piles for climbing, a hay ride through the orchard, a brat stand (this is Minnesota) and inside lots of apple pies, cookies, cobblers, ice cream, well, you get the idea. Afterwards we would drive a little farther into the country and have dinner at a spectacular German restaurant. Such fond memories. This will be something that Annie remembers for a long, long time!

You guys are the BEST!!! We wanna come & play with you all too!!! ha ha
Jennifer Dawn says:
You guys got the bounce house all to yourselves? You lucky ducks! Every time we go, it’s filled with about fifty sugar-fueled 10-year-old boys and we have to skip it.
Love Annie’s outfit, btw!

This looked like a fantastic day! I was pretty impressed with the way Mike carried her on his back while climbing the rope ladder, (and the way she held on!). You really took some sweet footage. Thanks for sharing.

You + Mike = Funnest. Parents. Ever!
Aubrey says:
Can you guys adopt me? You have got to be the coolest parents ever.

I love pumpkins and gourds too! When we went to the pumpkin patch I just kept filling up our wheelbarrow. I had no idea where I was going to put them… they’re all just so beautiful.
I love how you put them in your fireplace! They look gorgeous!
Glenda says:
Looks like a fun afternoon…but Annie doesn’t look too excited coming down the slide… it’s like “Daddy wants to try it” NOT ANNIE LOL
Have a great weekend!!
Lisa says:
Love how she’s all “whatever” at the end when you yell bye…..

The sippy cup in Mike’s back pocket when he was being a badass and winning at that Crow game was classic!
