Annie, like most toddlers, is on the go all day long. For posterity’s sake, Mike and I thought it would be fun to capture one of her on the go toddler days by filming her doing whatever it is she’s doing at the top of every hour – from the moment she wakes to the moment she goes to bed.
I would be exhausted after a day like that, too.
Abigail says:
What a sweet idea. I’ve seen this done with pictures but this is the first time I’ve seen it done with video. She sure does have a wonderful little life.
Lynn from For Love or Funny says:
I love this idea. Heck, it would be worthwhile filming the top of every hour no matter what the age of our kids…
Lisa says:
She is such a doll!
I love that idea by the way. I think I’m going to do that with my girls.
Kim says:
Love it!!!!!!!
Michelle says:
She is so freakin’ adorable!
Karen says:
I would give my right arm to be greeted by that face every morning! That girl is a treasure….
Laura says:
My gawd she is adorable! How can you stand it? I would munch on those cheeks all day long (figuratively–I’m not planning to eat your child, I swear!).
Heather Drudge says:
Your daughter is adorable. I love this video. I also love the hamster dress. Do you remember where you got it? I would love to buy one for my little one. Thanks.
Bampa says:
It was a birthday gift for Annie from friends.
Celina says:
Heck, I want a hamster dress for ME!
Jenn says:
What a Beautiful, Happy little girl you have!!! Heather, you & Mike are GREAT parents & I love how many treasures you are giving her. She is one lucky little girl!!!
Rachel says:
Awesome idea! I’ll have to do this when my daughter starts dating (can you imagine popping up where ever she was with a video camera every hour while she was on a date?) Mine is 15, so dating is just arount the corner & I find this idea hilarious! I’m sure my daughter would disagree! =)
JenC says:
So sweet!! I love it. Yo Gabba was so funny.
Shan says:
I loved it…especially that we could hear her little voice…Yo Gabba Gabba. Her dress is super cute too!
Carolyn says:
This is SO sweet. What a great keepsake. It would be so great to do every 6 months or every year. Thanks for some great inspiration!
Candice says:
What a great idea!! She is so cute!!
Kristina says:
I never comment, but I just had to drop a note to say totes adorbs. She is perfect.
Mommy says:
So cute!!!! That girl goes through so many outfit changes in one day, but she looks adorable in every one! Love this!!
Annalisa says:
We do all that stuff, but my girl never seems to want to go to sleep. It’s even worse on days when she goes to child care (I’m a full time grad student) instead of staying home. I’m kind of tired of being greeted with “Sigh, she didn’t nap today” when I go get her.
Last week she was sick, and she had 3 hour naps to make up for not sleeping at night. I have to confess that part of me was glad to have the midday break (getting up half the night? Not so much).
The funny part is that considered how much she struggles to sleep, she’s the most well adjusted, cheerful kid. She’s always all smiles. The other day I exasperatedly asked her “How can you be so cheerful? When mommy only gets sleep in 3 hour increments, she wants to scream in a pillow!”. She just shrugged and brought me a book (which I would mind less if we could actually even finish a book together).
Tammy M. says:
Annie is so cute and fun to watch. She’s a little ball of energy, isn’t she? She is really good at feeding herself! (No macaroni on the tray with that bite!)
I hesitated to write this next part – but I know you think about her all the time so I’m going to go ahead. Heather, I just re-read (and cried over) some of the posts from after sweet Maddie died. In one post you mentioned that you hoped she would come to you in your dreams. Has she? I really hope so.
Hugs.
Finn Reeds says:
I love how that child just blurts “gabba gabba” every once in a while. It really makes the day so much better.
Also, do not google “guinea pig dress” like I just did because you will be alarmed at what people do to their guinea pigs.
Annalisa says:
You mean, other than marry them?
True story: one time during my student teaching days, one of my students told me they had gone to a wedding that weekend. “Oh how nice!” I told her. So she prattled on about it, and I didn’t realize until it came out that the bride’s name was Bubbles and the groom’s name was Squeakers that in fact the wedding in question was a guinea pig wedding.
The bride apparently lived with the girl down the street, and understandably had no plans to move in with the groom. I didn’t really want to ask whether the groom was neutered. I sure hoped so (guinea pigs are incredibly fertile, much like rabbits).
Sleeping Mom says:
I love this! Man, and I thought *my* toddler was rowdy during “nap time.”
Lisa says:
Wait-If I counted right, there were two day wardrobe changes in there too??
Jena says:
I love everything about this video. What an awesome idea!
Trisha says:
Well she bounced herself right to sleep at naptime
She does a great job with tooth brushing. Maybe I should show this video to my 3 year old for inspiration. Tooth brushing is her kryptonite.
Jen says:
Best video you have ever made.
I thought this one wasn’t trying to be silly, it was honest. That’s what I loved. It showed a highly intelligent, creative, sweet little girl you are raising. More like this one!
Nanette says:
I loooove this!
Sally says:
Such a sweet idea. Really enjoyed this. Should do it with my son, who is just a few months older than gorgeous Annie.
xo
Catherine says:
SO sweet.
Jen says:
This is such a cute idea! She’s adorable. And busy
Kristin says:
What a wonderful idea!!! Wish I would have done this. I guess, its not too late to start though, huh? This will be a summer project for sure. Thanks for the idea!

Love it!!! Such a cutie-patootie! : )
