Heather’s Sparkle Punch

It’s New Year’s Eve tomorrow! I love NYE – a new year stretches before you, and hopefully you are starting it with friends and family by your side. Maybe you’re throwing a party or going to one (or maybe you’re kicking back on the couch because babysitters cost a mortgage payment on NYE), and you want something delicious to drink. I have you covered! This is my super special recipe for Sparkle Punch. You can make it in two minutes and then forget about it until the ball drops. Perfect!

Sparkle Punch

You need:

ingredients

1 bottle rosé wine
1 bottle sparkling wine
1 1/2 cups orange juice
1/2 cup grenadine
1/4 cup lemon juice

add orange juice

In a large punch bowl, pour in 1 1/2 cups orange juice.

lemon juice

Add 1/4 cup lemon juice.

grenadine

Add 1/2 cup grenadine (after tasting, I added a bit more grenadine to my punch – it’s personal preference and I wanted it a bit sweeter!)

rose wine

Pour in one bottle of rosé wine.

sparkling wine

Add bottle of sparkling wine just before serving (use something inexpensive – save the good stuff for midnight!)

ready for punch

Put a cherry in the bottom of each serving glass.

Heather's Sparkle Punch

Ready to drink.

cheers!

Cheers to 2012 and beyond!

the tasting

Doing our best to not down the drinks in one gulp…

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!

I wonder if they’ll have chilled sparkle punch waiting on me in the hospital room after my C-section in February? ;)

LOL, sorry I have to say but the guy in the picture standing next to Uncle Kyle kind of looks like Robert Pattinson (aka Edward from Twilight) :-) Happy New year!
