Annie has started playing a game where she pretends she’s asleep, and Mike or I have to kiss her to wake her up. Obviously we read and watch lots of fairy tales in this house. Today when we were playing I took just a liiiiiiiitle too long to kiss her awake, and she-who-never-naps actually fell asleep. A happy ending!
Annalisa says:
Awesome. Maybe you should keep that in mind as a trick to get her to nap (you can always give her extra kisses after she wakes up, to make up for the delay. ;)).
Valerie L says:
That melts my heart.
Jenn says:
What a GREAT story!! She is such a little lovey!!! xo
Mrs Catch says:
Oh, she’s just so gorgeous! A real princess.
Michelle says:
How absolutely sweet! Mine usually end up falling asleep when they’re on “time out” and I wait a liiiiitle too long to come in to talk to them.
Meg...CT says:
precious
Debby Pucci says:
That just made me giggle…too cute!
Lynnette says:
So I have to ask. When she-who-never-naps actually takes a nap, is it harder to get her to bed at night? I’m finding my 2 1/2 year old on the verge of not wanting naps and when she does, she doesn’t want to sleep at night. Annie’s a beauty!
Heather says:
Yes, if I’m not careful. It depends on when she falls asleep. If it’s at a normal time, she usually has no trouble falling asleep at night. But if she naps later in the day, it can be a problem. I try to only let those later naps last for 30-45 minutes, which helps.
Tara says:
Aw! Such a precious girl
Auntie_M says:
She-who-never-naps sure is beautiful when she does: Sleeping Beauty indeed!!!
Bet you’re really encouraging this game every afternoon, now aren’t you? hahaha
