Bathing suits, picnics, juice boxes, and friends…that’s how I remember my childhood summers, and I hope she does, too.

Oh she will remember all that and more. And one day she will sit at a computer and read the beautiful words her parents have written and be all the richer for them. And she will see that even in your grief, you kept going and did what was necessary. What a legacy. What an example.
I too lost someone way too early. As special to me as Jackie! is to you. I am sorry, deeply sorry, for your loss. Take your time, do what has to be done and forget the rest. And enjoy Annie!

We have so many pictures like this from our childhood – everyone in swim suits, sitting on a blanket, having a snack. Classic childhood – I’m sure Annie will have awesome memories of all of those things!

Funny how so many of us probably have a picture (and memories) so similar to this. Summer perfection.

Awwww classic summer picture & memory!
And, as Paula said above, how special for Annie that in the midst of their grief, her parents are still striving to give her that classic childhood summer memory.
You two are amazing parents!
