i LOVE babies hands. they are so amazing especially when you imagine all that those amazing, tiny hands will do.
dream big!
may i also offer keep on enjoying the ride like you are. my “baby” got married yesterday…oh em gee, i am a mother in law!
That is beautiful, Heather! I remember lying in my hospital bed after my son was born in the first moments that we had alone together. I looked at his tiny hands and the same thought crossed my mind. I imagined them working hard. I imagined them in surgical gloves saving lives. I imagined them writing short stories. I imagined them playing instruments. I imagined holding a newborn. Then I imagined them weathered and gnarled like my grandfater’s. And I cried. Oh, the places these babes will go!
well, i’m a total sap because this pic brought tears to my eyes! those tiny fingernails, the little creases in her knuckles….such a gift to capture these little moments and features on sweet Annabel as she grows up. this might be my favorite photography post so far.
