Annabel’s glasses arrived yesterday. She needs to wear them for, as it was explained, “anything within arm’s length.” That means while she reads, does school work, is on a computer, etc. It’s not really a nearsighted/farsighted thing, but correcting the double and blurry vision caused by her astigmatism. She could not WAIT to wear them at school this morning, and even though we told her that her glasses are “for inside only” I let her wear them to drop off this morning. As I walked away, most of her class was circled around her, looking at her new glasses. I caught a glimpse of her giant grin right before I turned the corner. She’s gonna be just fine with glasses.
