This is such an adorable picture and I love her cute pink striped pants. I wish my little girl would sit for even a few seconds. I think that’s why we have fewer pics of her as she’s gotten older. She never stays still long enough.
Ohhh how I love them sitting on their knees like that. Just last week one of my twins was doing the same & I kinda squeeled so I had to explain to her why momma was so happy!
Oh, I love it! My son is doing this all the time now too. There’s something so baby, but getting to be a big kid about it. I hope you and Annie are having a fun rainy day today!
Hehe, I sat like that for years, until I was about 13 and people started asking if I was uncomfortable (answer was no). Sadly 12 years on I can sit like that no more.
I’m am going to be a downer here, sorry don’t let her do that too much, it’s really bad for her knees. I’m a special ed teacher and the therapists tell me that all the time about my students. But she is awful cute!

Interesting fact – babies don’t have knee caps so it makes it a whole lot easier and more comfortable for them to sit all day on their knees! Just thought I would share that tidbit! Also – I agree – LOVE the baby sitting on knees style!
I can attest to that. In a not so distant past, like 30 years ago, I used to do stunt-man type of stunts from the coffee table. I remember I got my roller skating pads (I was like 3 at the time) and I used to jump from different places, usually testing the pads, by jumping down straight on the knees (I think I was unsupervised). I know had knee caps then, but a child’s resilience will get them through any pain.. it did for me.
It’s so cute when a baby sits like that!! Unfortunately, I’m a 24-yr-old, and that’s my preferred floor sitting style. After a while, the “awwws” turn to “ewwws”when people see a grown woman doing it: like gingham, mary janes, and all-pink ensembles, this one is best left to the under-10 set. Hard habit to break!

It can’t be bad for her knees yet, babies don’t develop knee caps until they are around two years old!

It’s not the knees that you need to worry about, it’s not good for the hips.
