I’ve been working on Annie sitting more modestly now that she’s no longer wearing diapers and diaper covers. When she sat like this on her dad’s lap, I might have given myself a little pat on the back (after I giggled because she’s so hilarious).

We did a lot of leggings and tights of all lengths at that age. I bought thin tight cotton shorts for under skirts too. I’ll admit I’m a little paranoid about sickkos so something under a skirt is a must in my book.
Heather says:
I definitely do tights and leggings when it isn’t too hot. The cotton shorts are a good idea – where do you get yours?
Alice says:
I found some at Gymboree and Target. I would also buy them small so that they fit a little tighter, like biker shorts, lol.

I still wear bike shorts with skirts/dresses if I’m not wearing leggings with them (usually it’ll be over tights or silk long underwear). I started with the uniform jumper in grade school and never stopped. (My mother started making me wear bike shorts because I refused to stop climbing on top of everything. Everything. Oh, yes, monkey bars and other playground stuff, but also the fridge and the dresser and the car . . . )

Now, if only someone could remind me to sit up straight & proper!

She is so stinkin’ cute! Monkey Bars Buddies are fabulous little shorts for under dresses and skirts. I saw a less expensive brand recently, but forgot to bookmark it.

Such a little lady. I find that these Monkeybar buddies help when my girl wants to wear a dress and still be crazy.

She’s so adorable! I have two girls, and my 8 year old still isn’t very ladylike. We have loads of bike shorts and leggings for under skirts/dresses, and I usually get mine at the children’s place.

Someone please, for the love of God, teach my four year old to sit (let alone act) like a lady. Everyone has seen her underpants. Everyone.
