I get I dunno, with a shrug of the shoulders, or lately it’s “So?” *sigh* she is only 2 1/2

But does she immediately follow it with the answer? My DD#2 just turned 3 on 14-Apr and here is a typical conversation:
Me: Honey, where did you put your cup?
Her: I dunno. (2 second pause) It’s on the table.
You gotta laugh, you know?
