Annie picked out both of their outfits. “So we can both have anchors, Mama.” (His onesie has tiny anchors on it.) Apparently Annabel is the official clothing chooser in our house.

As another DG, I had the exact same thought!

This was us last year.
My son was born in April, just a few weeks after my daughter turned 4. She was just as enamored as Annie appears to be, right down to liking them to match. I am milking that for all it’s worth (smocked dresses and john johns, anyone?) because I imagine it won’t be long before neither one of them will be cool with matching.
Enjoy this time…my son is now mobile and big sis is not happy that he no longer wants to be held, kissed, etc. all the time. But new adventures await! Congratulations…I think you’ll love watching the big sis/baby bro experience!

Love the photo and the little double chin of James! Annie looks stoked.
Jessica says:
I’m so glad everything is going well and you are mending. James is a beautiful baby! When we had our second daughter, our 2 year old was ecstatic. She loved her immediately, just like Annie. I was so pleased because a friend of mine was not so lucky. Her 2 year old used to tell her to put the baby away and even bit the baby once! Anyway, they are still very good friends 4 years later even with the many arguments. My favorite time was when the baby started to crawl. Abby immediately realized what was about to happen and said, “Oh, no! She’s crawling towards my toys!” From then on, Abby would always bring Lauren toys in the hopes of keeping the baby away from her toys. We have a lot of photos of Lauren surrounded by so many toys, she can’t get away to bother Abby’s. It was really funny!

That would be my happy place too! And of course Annie is the official dresser of the family! I’m surprised she lets you guys pick out your own outfits…or were you all wearing outfits w/anchors on this particular day?
They are precious!!!!!
Heather says:

I wonder if he will want her picking out his clothes when he’s going on a date? I know, I know…too soon for that topic. Just don’t blink.
