So sweet! How fun that she can wear the same clothes that you wore when you were a toddler. Looks like your mom bought you nice, timeless things made from natural fabric. I had to pitch all of my 1970s tiny polyester pants suits. No way my girls were going to put up with those.

I really, really enjoy your blog. I’m so sorry for your loss :*(. I appreciate the realness of your posts about your grief. My heart breaks each time I read them. I ,too, lost a child, a preemie born 4 months early that lived for 11 days, 9 years ago in June. I feel like I barely got to know him and it hadn’t even really sunk in yet that I had given birth to him SO early before he was gone. I always wonder what he would have been like.

Thank you, Jenn. I definitely feel that he is! I was lucky enough to go on to have 2 more beautiful babies. Another son that was born just as early and spent 6 months in the NICU. He will be 8 in August. Then my daughter was born 3 months early and that extra month she got made a world of difference. She spent 7 weeks in the NICU with no complications. She just turned 3 at the end of last month. I am blessed :*)

I have a dress from when I was a baby, and I put it on my baby when she was about the same age so I could take a picture, but sadly, she hasn’t worn it other than that, since it didn’t age as well as your dress did. It’s so worn now you can practically see through it and the color is almost completely gone. It’s great to have that connection though!
