OOHHH May Heather….she is so beautiful! How can a person fall in love with a little girl she never met? EASY!!!!! Just like her big sister! They have me….line, hook & sinker! I adore both Maddie & Miss Annie! Thank you for sharing them with all of us! How lucky are we?!?!?!?!
Jealousy!!! My little girl is a couple weeks older than Annie, and I was just able to do a bow (sort of) for the first time yesterday. It feels like pigtails are a long way off. She’s adorable!
Oh my hell – that is too cute! My ‘baby’ is 23 yrs old today and I can still remember the first time I was able to put her hair in pigtails. Last night I was looking at some pictures for my birthday blog post for her and found one of her looking at herself in a mirrored closet door and it made me wonder how many more of us have those pictures.
Looks like your little doll is saying “so what’s the big deal, this is just the beginning! of fabulous hair moments for me, mom!” What a little darling!!
So cute! I love how she so clearly doesn’t like them. Or for all I know, she’s unhappy about something completely different, but I’m choosing to interpret it this way. Regardless, isn’t it fun to force cuteness on your kids!
I remember when my oldest girl finally had enough hair for ponytails!
She was about 4. and her brown hair was stick straight, slick and hair accessories all slid out in moments. She now dyes it orange.
I remember when my younger girl finally had enough hair for ponytails!
The day she was born. It was curly too, and deep glossy chestnut. she now spends hours making it as straight as her sister’s hair.
and just the one time, when he was about two and had never had a haircut, I put my little boy’s lovely thick blond hair into pigtails for just a moment, and got teary eyed at what a beautiful girl he woulda been. no, I didn’t take pictures. I mean, I do have pictures of it when it was long, just not the pigtails. I gave in to the pressure to cut it a few weeks later. It is nice, now that he’s a constantly dirty 4 year old boy, that short hair is so easy to wash and dry.
I love this post. Too funny.
My daughter is 20 months old, and she sounds like she has your first daughters’ hair type. Stick straight, holds nothing, and hardly anything there. LOL!
Too cute! Is her getting lighter? Her baby curves are precious but she seems to be thinning out, especially in the face (probably because she’s mobile now). Anyway, she looks more like a little girl and less like baby:( So beautiful!
