I absolutely j’adore her sense of style!!! Sheesh, as an adult I wish I possessed that same gift of knowing what to wear and how to wear it the way Annabel does but alas, I do not…major bummer!

Why are hats not allowed? that seems pretty odd for pre-school.
Heather says:
They don’t want kids bringing anything extra to school – no hats, toys, jewelry, etc – because it can cause sharing issues (lame, I know) PLUS I think they don’t want to have to keep track of one more thing, because you KNOW a room of four year olds can lose anything and everything!

Dude, that “no bringing stuff to school” thing is a bit wacky. My twin boys who are 4 go to pre-school and can bring whatever they like to school (like a lovey, a small car …etc … except a any kind of peanut product) as long as it fits into their assigned cubby. A few weeks ago my son James (I loved it when you named your little man James as well!) brought his binoculars to class – the teachers loved it because he shared them with every one and they were so proud of him.
Anyway, j’adore Annie’s outfit. Girl’s got style!
Heather says:
They can bring something on their share day (Annie’s is Thursday). I actually am glad they can’t bring anything extra to school because Annie is a little scatterbrained and I KNOW I would spend 20 minutes at pick up searching all over the place looking for whatever random thing she’d brought to school that day and misplaced!
Lee Cockrum says:
I agree, she looks darling, and why on earth are hats not allowed?!

ok…this kid is amazing and has better fashion sense than i do. i want to start sending her pics of my outfits and letting her coordinate them for me. she is such a rockstar!!!!! Happy Birthday, Little Miss Annie – you go on gurrrlll!!!!
Chris says:
OMG, she is just adorable. I love the hat, but understand not allowed at school. But geesh, it’s cute. I wish I could wear hats like that, I’m just not a hat person, they never look good on me.
Wendy says:
What a great hat!
aqua6 says:
Could also be a lice issue – easier for the lice to hop from head to head if hats are shared.
Paula says:
A Door A Bull. That girl has style.

The hat thing doesn’t seem weird to me at all. We were never allowed to wear hats/caps of any sort, from pre-school all the way through senior year. The only exception was that some of the schools I attended (I was at several over the years) would have a special “hat day” where everyone wore hats that one day only. There were always a variety of reasons…. lice issues, gang affiliations (one school in high school referenced this…obviously not in pre-school!), distractions, easy to tuck things into/under them without being noticed, teachers can’t see the students eyes (baseball caps) and they’re not conducive to learning, blah, blah, blah…
