She looks so grown-up and her little scarf gets me every time. I’ve taken cabs in NYC and I bet Annie can do a better job of driving.

Is she sitting on your lap? Wow, that would freak me out. Is it the norm in NYC to not use car seats in cabs? She is such a cutey….love the tongue!

OMG! I had this same question recently! Our big kid seat is such a pain the rear to get in and out I wandered if it was the norm in big cities to not use them!

I had the same question! I have no idea what to do with the kids when we go to a big city, I know it’s legal not to use a car seat. Bit is it the norm? I guess you don’t have much choice right?

In New York, you barely have time to get in and out of the cab with all your belongings, never mind having the time to properly install a car seat.

I lug around a Scenera (It’s very lightweight and easy to tote around) and the first thing I do is tell the cab driver when they pull up that I WILL pay them extra for their patience as I install the child seat. I can get it in in 30 seconds now. I would never, ever transport a child in a vehicle without a car seat. Scary!
Either transport safely or walk, please!

LOVE her scarf!!! And I, too, always wondered how parents of little ones worked out the cab situation (car seats, or not) in big cities?
