We gave Annie a Furby for her birthday and she’s currently soooo obsessed with it. They have somehow managed to get creepier with each generation (it’s in the eyes). It’s also worth noting that every Furby develops a personality depending on how you treat it. Annie’s Furby has a “Valley Girl” personality which can only be achieved by talking to the Furby…pretty much nonstop.
Anais says:
Those things give me nightmares. I had one when I was 10. The thing started talking on its own one night. (IT HAD NO BATTERIES!!!) My sister (who’s 5 years older) and I screamed bloody murder and threw the thing in the back of our closet! Apparently they still look just as creepy
Caitlin says:
Me too! Right about the same age as well. I thought I was the only one… Middle of the night, it was turned off, in the back of my closet, no lights on, and it started talking! SUPER CREEPY! (shudder)
Jen says:
My 7 year old daughter got a pink Furby for her birthday. It currently lives in her closet and every time I need to go in there she warns me not to wake it up.
Leah says:
Ok so I admit I am picturing your child a bit children of the corny but that warning from an innocent child is so perfectly creepy, I am delighted LOL
Kelly says:
There is a reason that Mea will most likely not ever have a Furby. Her older sister’s scared the crap out of me many years ago.

Lanie says:
We have Furbys (plural sp?) at our house too. We have yet to download the Furby dictionary app but our twins are always trying to teach them English. Except when they tried to create a Furby “school” neither of the Furbys would be quite. So our 5 year old twins closed the “school” because the students were too annoying. . .
Lanie says:
meant to write quiet . . .
Tia says:
Lucky for me my kids have never asked for one.
But I just wanted to say how much I’m loving Annie’s hair in this picture! She is so adorable!
Amy S. says:
My 9-year old got one for her bday and IT.NEVER.SHUTS.UP! It’s purple and I agree, VERY creepy! LOL!
Auntie_M says:
Those things sound creepy…but I love that Annie’s is a Valley Girl! LOL
Steph says:

My daughter and her 2 little girls live at home with her dad and I. After a hard day and finally getting to sleep at 3AM somehow that damn Furby woke up as I went by on my way to the bathroom. It scared me to death. Even after being thrown with great force into the nearest wall that darn thing still blabs it’s head off. Thank goodness little bells has lost interest in good ol Furby. He’s moving into the closet soon. I still love the old toys that made us use our imagination.
