I really, really enjoy your blog. I’m so sorry for your loss :*(. I appreciate the realness of your posts about your grief. My heart breaks each time I read them. I ,too, lost a child, a preemie born 4 months early that lived for 11 days, 9 years ago in June. I feel like I barely got to know him and it hadn’t even really sunk in yet that I had given birth to him SO early before he was gone. I always wonder what he would have been like.

Thank you, Jenn. I definitely feel that he is! I was lucky enough to go on to have 2 more beautiful babies. Another son that was born just as early and spent 6 months in the NICU. He will be 8 in August. Then my daughter was born 3 months early and that extra month she got made a world of difference. She spent 7 weeks in the NICU with no complications. She just turned 3 at the end of last month. I am blessed :*)

I have a dress from when I was a baby, and I put it on my baby when she was about the same age so I could take a picture, but sadly, she hasn’t worn it other than that, since it didn’t age as well as your dress did. :/ It’s so worn now you can practically see through it and the color is almost completely gone. It’s great to have that connection though!
