Ever since a friend posted about the problems with HFCS a few years ago, I quit buying soda, and now just buy club soda / seltzer water, and mix it with some HFCS-free juice: cran, pomegranate, blueberry, ruby red grapefruit...
Langer's is a good brand for using real sugar, and there are a few others. If you don't want bubbles you can just mix juice with plain water.

I love hummus, but garlic makes me burp like a mofo, so I make mine without, or with only a little. ;p

Pretzels are pretty amazing with onion dip, FTR. :P

We eat a lot of garlic, onions & spicy stuff in our house. I think it definitely passed onto my son's taste buds when I was breastfeeding. He's the only 2 year old I know who will hang of the fridge and beg for a dill pickle. He eats salsa with a spoon and will cut you for a piece of garlic bread. Don't even get me started on his sharing a plate of beef curry with my husband.
Forget the goldfish crackers, this kid has a far freakier palate!!

Have you tried the True Lemon (or for me, lime and they also have orange)?

It doesn't have the sugar substitutes or strange chemicals you can find in other drink mixes. I like to add a splash of juice (cranberry is my fav) and a lime packet when I'm in the mood for something other than straight water. I'm also hopelessly addicted to seltzer water with a little juice. Probably from all the mocktails I've been drinking over the last 3yrs of being preggo and nursing.

My husband is also addicted to Diet Coke. This drives me nuts: He'll open a can, take a swig, and then walk out the door for the day. When he gets home, he'll resume drinking from that can. Gross!

Add a splash or two of lime coridal (Rose's is nice) to your water. I promise, you won't regret it!

Forgive me if these have already been mentioned, but I LOVE Vitaminwater 10 and SoBe LIfewater (the light kind). Both are available at Costco.

Please don't add Crystal Light or those other processed junky fake sweeteners to your water. Keep it natural. Use lemon or lime. Also, fresh coconut water (from young Thai coconuts usually sold at farmer's markets) is one of the most delicious, hydrating, nutritional drinks available, and one of those coconuts costs about the same as a can of that DC your husband is addicted to!
