Three years ago I woke up to rain.
My friends came over and helped me get ready.
We hung out a little bit while we waited for the rain to clear.
When the rain stopped, we danced in the streets.
We stood in the shadows of famous buildings.
An a capella group from our college sang rock and Christmas songs (every wedding needs a capella Smashing Pumpkins)…
and a Fab Foursome sang us some classics.
We ate cake.
Did I mention the dancing?
We got married.
The rain that morning didn’t bother me at all.
We’ve had the for better. We’ve had the for worse.
We have each other.

That’s a lot going on in your lives for having being married only 3 years. I thought you guys were married longer as you two seem so in sync with each other. Of course, what happened to sweet Madeline will have had its impact. But as you wrote a while back: it made the bond stronger. A lot of marriages don’t last after the loss of a baby. I was married a bit over three years ago in that same dress! I hope you felt as awesome in that dress as I did. Corset dresses are like a hug that you keep on for hours.

Corset dresses make you look HOT but man, was I happy to take that thing off at the end of the day. My ribs have yet to recover.

What a gorgeous wedding and couple! Happy Anniversary- my husband and I also had a Dec wedding (12/14) and I told my son a couple days ago that it was the birthday of our family. And so today is the #3 bday of your lovely family. Undoubtedly, Maddie is enjoying a bday cream puff in your honor. While you’ve been trying to just survive daily during most of year #2, sublime to it all was the strengthening of your marriage which is no easy feat.

The reason I come to your site on a daily basis, other then of course,to send you messages of support, love and friendships. Plus, b/c of my illness, I am often home a lot during the day. Reading & responding to you posts makes me feel less alone. I will ALWAYS appreciate you for that.
I really do find your life to be interesting and unique! I love how you and Mike compliment each other and how you both just seem to have SSSOOO much fun with each other.. I love to hear your stories, see your video’s & pictures.
But, the BEST part of coming here is watching Maddie’s video and hearing you and Mike laugh in the background!! I LOVE THAT!!! When this does happen, I smile and laugh instantly and am just so touched to see how much you were enjoying your Maddie and just how lucky she was to have such FUN and LOVING parents.
