Too cute! Btw, you were an adorable baby! And you’ve probably heard that before, huh?
holy crap, that is an intense baby picture of you. i see you’re rockin an intentional double chin. a girl i went to college with called that “the thumb” face. some people end up looking like thumbs.
i don’t want to sound hateful (because i’m not. i’m honestly confused) but am i the only one who cannot make heads or tails of this ultrasound? it kind of looks like a rorschach test. in 3-D. can someone explain where everything is on this? i’m sure that once someone says, “this is where her face is, and these are her little hands etc. etc…” i will instantly figure it out.
but i can definitely see the family resemblance between you and maddie. let’s hope binky will be just as expressive as her big sister: fists of fury a’flyin; big eyes opened wide; and a bright, glowing smile stuck to her face.
That’s ok, my dad can’t make her out either..he says it looks like a batch of cookie dough to him. Everything with my dad is a food reference.
But, Binky’s fists are on the right, and her head is in the upper left corner. She is in side profile. Hope that helps!

Katy, Binky’s hands are right in the middle of the picture. One is very bright. Binky’s head takes up the entire upper left corner of the u/s. Her body is curled around and her tush is in the lower left corner. Can you see her now??

I too.. even after reading the explanation of the ultrasound… still can’t make heads or tails of Binky’s U/S. But I do see the hands in the middle so I guess that’s all that matters. Too cute! Those fists of fury are too cute! Can’t wait to see Binky wield them.

Is it bad that I can actually make out the baby better in traditional ultrasounds? I can’t make heads or tails out of the 3-D/4-D ones.
I love that series of pictures of Maddie. I always want to hug her. I remember what my own feel like at that age; warm and soft and smelling yummy from the bath.

i left this on Newborn identity bc when i read it i thought of the two of you. i do not write on you blog often but read every day. i never know what to say to you – but today i read this and it felt right.
What moves us is a silence a quiet sadness a longing for one more day one more word one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon or why you left before we were ready to say goodbye but little by little we begin to remember not that you died but that you lived…and that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

I have three boys. They are all so much like their daddy, I used to joke that they only used me to carry them to term and refused to use my DNA. Well, I was blessed with a little girl and, Holy Cow, she is my mini me!!!! It is almost scarey how like me she is. She looks just like me and acts just like me and has a lot of my quirks. I love it.
