This is my second Holiday Hair post. I rock this look all the time – it is SO easy.
If you have medium to long hair, this is a hairstyle for you.
Next week, I’ll be showing you how to use a straightening iron to get silky smooth hair with lots of movement and volume. It CAN be done!
Eric's Mommy says:
Love it! I have those little corkscrew things from Goody also, they are great.
Erin says:
The Spin Pin! Yep, those things rock. Got mine at the new Walgreens down the street. Thanks for all the great hair tips. I just wish my hair wasn’t so curly, because then your styles would actually work for me. Oh well. Anyway, you look fabulous!
Ms. Moon says:
You are so cute. I mean that in the beautiful-cute way.
Okay?
Thanks for the holiday hair tips. And the twisty pins? Genius. I love mine.
peach says:
so cute. i love this twist on the high bun. i’ve been looking for a better way to do my hair for interviews to contain my wild mane and this is perfect!
susan says:
i have major hair envy! i’ve been growing my hair out from a pixie cut for about a year and 1/2. you’ve got a fabulous head of hair!!! nice bun, LOL!
Rachel says:
Now that my hair is finally sweeping shoulders and a bit beyond.. I can get a spin pin! Love them!
Miss that sweet face xoxxo love ya
Jeannine says:
That’s a great look Heather! I LOVE those pins from Goody.
I think I end up wearing mine at least every other day?
Thanks for the cute hair tips! =)
Tamaya says:
I seriously cannot wait until next week.
Rebecca says:
What about lots and lots of waves? Can that be done to hair that is terribly thin and fine and fly-a-way?
Katrina says:
Check out those little hair-screw-thingies! I’ve never seen those before! Very cool.
I wear my hair in a mommy-bun whenever I’m in the house, and my husband hates hates that. He’d rather my hair be long and flowing for his looking enjoyment all. day. long. But who wants all that hair hanging all over when you’re doing laundry and tending to kids? Nope, gotta have it up and out of the way. I think I’ll start switching it up and will try your idea — it looks much more stylish!
Katie says:
I am a total fan of these hair tip vlogs! we have the same hair…or at least it looks that way to me…but i have been able to do little more than whip it up in a nasty messy bun. these tips so help.
Nicole says:
Thank you thank you thank you!! You saved me from another evening out with blah-looking hair. I wore my hair this way tonight, to my company Christmas party, and it looked great! Those spin pins rule. Thanks again! xoxo
Susan says:
I am so uncoordinated with my hair but I am definitely trying this tomorrow. Also, I invested over $100 on one of those “InStyler” thingys and I STILL* don’t get the great straight hair like I get from the salon, so looking forward to your next lesson! Thanks!
Elle says:
I love this hair do! I’m always looking for something easy when I have to run errands with my little girl, haven’t yet taken a shower, and my hair is a mess. I have got to get that corkscrew thingamajig from Goody’s.
Nikki says:
Ok so this has nothing to do with hair since I have a pixie cut…but I SWEAR I heard Annie singing on Yo Gabba Gabba today! I was in my kitchen and my boys were in the living room playing with the TV on and all of a sudden I heard Annie singing! I was so confused as I have only ever heard Annie on my computer…I couldn’t understand how my 7 month old & 3 yr old were playing videos on my computer with out me…but it was Foofa. Seriously, Annie is a talented little girl…her own music career with Rigby and now doing voice for a hit kids program! Wow!
(Heather, do you moonlight as Foofa’s voice???)
Valorie says:
Where were you when I had long hair? I hated having my hair in my face and was tired of a plain ponytail so I eventually chopped it all off and now rock the pixie kind of cut, which I love. But if I’d had all your tips back in the day, I might not have resorted to cutting it all off!! So pretty!
The Sweetest says:
I have tried to find one of those hair pins, and Target and CVS never have them. I need I need!
shea says:
Thanks for this. I bought that curly thing at walmart today for my daughter. She loves it!
Debbie says:
Wish I’d seen this before my daughter’s performance in children’s ballet of the Nutcracker yesterday. I suck at buns, and had to use a trillion bobby pins to get her bun to hold. I’m looking for that screwy thingy tomorrow! Keep the hair tips coming – I’ve used them all on my daughter’s hair (she’s 8 and loves me playing with her hair).
Amanda says:
I must say – i LOVE your hairstyles! Nothing like something new to brighten your day!
Thanks
Sarah says:
Thanks, love the hair tips.
Sarah says:
Off to find that corkscrew thingy…..
You crack me up!
Elizabeth says:
Looks great!!! I’ll have to check out those corkscrew thingys, I’ve never seen them before.
eva says:
next week?? I need this today LOL
can’t wait.
ps. always rock the high bun here
Jackie says:
This looks great! I can’t wait to try it, and I will definitely be looking for some of those curly-Q thingies.
I had to laugh at Rigby barking so urgently in the background. Was that also Annie I could hear? So cute.
chatty cricket says:
HOOOORAH. I am trying this- possibly tonight just because I have nothing else to do since dinner is already made.
Also, YES HEATHER, teach me how not to be Cher with my flat iron!
Stacy says:
Ooohhh, I love that clip/pin/whatchamacallit from Goody! I have to go get me some of those! Thanks for the tip and the cute hair how-to Heather!
VDog says:
LMAO because Boris lost his shit when Rigby started barking. LOL!
Love the ‘do! Now I just need the hair to do it up with! ha!
Skye says:
I’ve always wondered how to keep my bun in place for hours. I’m going to go looking for those hair screw thingies! Thank you!
