On Maddie’s first birthday we asked her party guests to donate to the March of Dimes in her name instead of bringing gifts. We wanted to make sure that other babies would get to celebrate their first birthdays too.
Last year on Madeline’s birthday a lot of people took it upon themselves to donate to Friends of Maddie, and it touched us deeply. Every time I looked at my email there was another donation in her name. It was one of the ways we made it through the day.
This year we are proud to announce that in honor of Maddie’s third birthday tomorrow we’re releasing The Adventures of Annie and Rigby with 100% of the proceeds going to Friends of Maddie.
The Adventures of Annie and Rigby is a compilation DVD of all our favorite Annie and Rigby videos from Spohr TV, including “The Amazing Annabel,” “Annie’s Halloween Quandary,” and “Annabel’s Independence Day,” as well as all-new material featuring the music video for Annie’s next single, “I Got A Dog Named Rigby.”
We think it will make a fun gift for your kiddos at the holidays, and it’s 100% tax deductible! The best part is that it’s $25 including shipping no matter what country you live in.
Ordering a copy of this fun DVD will help us reach our goals of helping more NICU families in the next year, and it’s (in our opinion) a wonderful way to honor our daughter’s third birthday.
To order The Adventures of Annie and Rigby please go to the Friends of Maddie donation page. Make sure you give your full contact information in the order. DVDs will be shipped to the billing address given.
In the coming weeks we’ll show you sneak previews of the DVD, including the cover art! We are so excited about this, and we hope all of you are too. Most importantly, we hope that someday when Annie is older, she’ll look back and be proud that the silly things her mama and daddy put her through helped families in need.
As always, thank you so much for your support. We wouldn’t be able to get through this week without the love we feel from all of you.

Mandi Bone says:
I donated to get the video. My daughter Evie loves these movies so much that I bribe her with them. She will also pee on the potty to be able to watch them.
Heather says:
What a wonderful idea! I plan to make a donation without purchase… perhaps I could buy a copy of the DVD that you could use in a giveaway draw for people who want to donate a smaller amount due to personal financial constraints?
Elizabeth says:
What a wonderful way to honor Maddie. And as always, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dee Dee says:
Awesome!
catherine lucas says:
I still remember how reluctant she was at first to make her fingers messy… A darling memory to a little girl that was taken away way too soon.
I do hope that the DVD will be a success!
Gale @ Ten Dollar Thoughts says:
Heather, I have such admiration for your unflagging commitment to the March of Dimes. How easy it might be just to think of your own loss without channeling your pain into such worthwhile efforts. I applaud you!
On a lighter note, I always look forward to your Friday videos and to Annie and Rigby’s latest antics. I know you come to this blog with a heavy heart much of the time, but your videos reveal what fun people you and Mike truly are. I love seeing that side of you.
You’re in my thoughts this week. Take care of yourself.
melissa says:

This is such a cute and clever idea!!
I think of you and Mike every day, but I will be thinking of you even more than usual tomorrow, and praying that you can find some moments of peace in what is sure to be a very difficult day. Thank you again, and thank you always, for sharing your lives with us. I’m so glad to have met you and Mike and Maddie and Annie (and Rigby!) and I think I’m a much better person because of it. Love you all!

Both of your girls are beautiful, and I just know Maddie is the most beautiful little angel in heaven. I can’t wait to get a copy.
AT says:
Awesome! Any chance of distributing it online as well? It seems like a waste of plastic and gas to get a DVD delivered that I’m just going to rip to my computer when I get it. (And I like instant gratification!)
My 18-month-old loves watching Annie videos
Elizabeth says:
Placing my order as we speak. Such an amazing idea!!
Trisha Vargas says:
Such a great idea. I will order one for Dannica, my 2 year old. I am sure she will adore them as much as I do.

Hello,
Over the last month I have been finding blogs to read to pass time at work. I found yours, it was funny and about pregnancy. I started at the beginning and you can imagine how floored I was when I go to the post of Maddy passing. I became sick at my desk. I have not stopped thinking about her since. I have watched videos on you tube and it has made me hold my baby even closer. She is 10 months. I have shown her videos of Maddie as well. We sat at the computer last night while she did the baby lip thing back and forth with your MAddie. My daughter’s name is Mattison AKA Mattie. I need to tell you how weird it is for me to have caught up to the current date today of all days. I know tomorrow will be hard for you. I just wanted you to know how you and your daughters and mike have touched my life so hard. You have an amazing story and by far I get chills hearing you talk about you daughters life. I don’t know how you are going on but you are. You truly have to be the strongest person. I am only 22. I am married and my daughter is my world. I had an easy pregnancy and my daughter was born healthy I have you to thank for that with all your work helping MOD. You lived every single one of my worst fears and you have become my hero. You have also educated me. I always assumed once a NICU baby made it out of the hospital all was well. I hate that I had to learn otherwise. No story of someone I have never met has touched me the way yours has. I can’t wait to watch Annie grow up the way I did Maddie. You have amazing little girls. I wish I could contribute to Friends of Maddie. Being a 22 year old mom with a mortgage and car note and baby I am sure you understand right now it is not an option in my life. I hope to be in the place one day that I can contribute and when I am I can assure you that Friends of Maddie will be the first place I come. I truly love your girls, just reading about them makes me feel close. I wanted so badly Tuesday night after I read about Maddies passing and had to realize I don’t know her, I can’t just pick up my cell phone and call her, so I knew once I got to current day I would have to write you a comment and just make sure you know how truly amazing you are. Thank you for sharing your life. I can only imagine how painful it has been for you. God Bless You and your family and just know Maddie will be in my prayers as well as Annie you and Mike for life. You are truly amazing people!
Nicci

What a sweet sweet picture. Great idea!
Jen L. says:
What a phenomenal idea! I mean, I’d buy one anyway, but knowing that the proceeds help Friends of Maddie? I may have to buy two. Sending you love this week.
nona says:
Since Annie can’t really talk yet, it’s hard to prove for sure, but I believe she is already full of pride for you, her dad, and her big sister, Maddie. It’s just as hard to disprove, so… I will assume it is true.
By the way, the above picture of Maddie is amazing — she is so full of light, plus it looks like she is holding up the number “1” to announce her age.
